The environmental changes in ports such as large size, high technology, and efficiency are greatly realized and advanced ports focus on the research and development for the port technology to be hub ports in each continent. It is necessary to continuously develop the port technology in order to cope with those changes. The continuous development of the port technology leads to not only the growth of the domestic port industry but also the preoccupation of the world's industry and the increase of the export amount related to the port technology. In this paper the state of the art in the domestic and foreign port technology are surveyed proposes the development policies and strategies of the domestic port technology are suggested.

With swelling of Chinese Economic scale, the competitive environment is swinging over the north-east Asia countries, Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan. As the result of this circumstance, each countries in this area has been reformed their industries. According to the expanding in ocean logistic. The trends of competition on Hub port is looking forward much more severe year after year to preoccupy in logistics competitive within this Area. On the other hand, considering competitive environment & swelling of Chinese Economic scale, the structural reforms are imperative in korea. Korea have to convert the traditional sects into new high added value sects. In these trends, provincial government also should look for the plan for reinforcement of Regional competitiveness. The focus of this study is to look for the reinforcement methods on regional competitiveness of Gyeongnam Provincial Government. First, competitive industries in Gyeongnam, and second, Masan Free Trade Zone will be surveyed from data. Finally, the effects of New Hub port developing in Pusan-Jinhae will be discussed.

According to financial hub related law of government, new financial hub in Busan will be differentiated from existing other financial hubs by reflecting regional characteristics as financial cluster and by connecting with business hub. Based on an ongoing busan international finance center in Munhyun innovation city. this study is focused on suggesting development methodes for international competitiveness of Busan international finance center considering of maritime-specialization connecting with citizen park and busan north port renewal districts. through the financial hub concept, types, be valid conditons, competitiveness and international case studies over the analysis of development conditions and a development plans for developing fosterage-programs suppementary and strategy, guidelines of physical developmentde direction.

The rapid progress of the intermodal freight transportation in recent years has induced fierce competition among the adjacent hub ports for container transport. This brings increased attention to the evaluation of the port competitive ability. But it is not easy to evaluate the port competitive ability because this belongs to ill-defined system which is composed of ambiguous interacting attributes. Paying attention to this point, this paper deals the competitive ability of container port in Far-East Asia by fuzzy integral evaluation which is adequate to interacting ambiguous attribute problem. For this, the proposed fuzzy evaluation algorithm is applied to the real problem, based on the factors such as cargo volumes, costs, services, infrastructure and geographical sites These are extracted from the precedent study of port competitive ability, etc. The results show that the port evaluation factors come in following order ; services, costs, infrastructure, geographical sites and cargo volumes. There are some interactions(interaction coefficient, ${\lambda}=-0.664$ between evaluation attributes. The port competitive ability comes in following order : Singapore, Hongkong, Kobe, Kaoshiung and Busan. According to the sensitivity analysis, the rank between Busan and Kaoshiung changes when ${\lambda}=0.7$. From the analysis of the results, we confirmed that the proposed fuzzy evaluation algorithm is very effective in the complex-fuzzy problem which is composed of hierarchical structure with interacting attributes.

This paper is intended to suggest benchmarking ascension for the Gwangyang Port as a hub for international logistics. Most countries that seek to join. and lead, the global trading system as they work to develop production and logistics systems that establish a reputation for leadership in international logistics. Our focus in this research is on the Gwangyang Port and whether Gwangyang Port is capable of carving out a competitive niche as a hub of international logistics. Our analysis is based on comparison and analysis with benchmark port developments around the world. As proposals to promote and activate Gwangyang Port as a hub for international logistics, we recommended in this paper several benchmarks. First, Gwangyang Port FTZ must strengthen the incentive system for tenant companies and providing an inducement for new global companies. Second, Gwangyang Port needs to moderation of regulation on the investment tenant companies and strengthening one-stop service. Third, it is required to stabilize labor and management relationship and securing of flexibility of labor market. Lastly, Gwangyang Port must strengthen mutual interaction of Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Customs Free Zone(CFZ) and Free trade Zone(FTZ) in Korea.

Port marketing using websites in the e-business environment is essential in response to the competition to become hub ports, especially since shipping companies, ports' major customers, are being pressed by shippers to reduce logistics costs and introduce large ships to realize economies of scale, thereby reducing the number of ports of call. In this sense, this study intends to approach the port industry from the perspective of e-business and suggest vitalization methods using Gwangyang Port websites(6C; contents, community, communication, connection, commerce, customization) as one of the ways to turn it into Northeast Asia's hub port of logistics.

East Asia has played an important role in the economic and social development in the Asian pacific region and in the global arena. In the region the impact of companies centralizing their logistics activities around a few distribution centers has already led some leading ports such as Singapore, Hong Kong to transform and expand their functions and business activities to provide port users with value added logistics services. Other ports in the region also have an important part to play in the total logistics Chain. In these environments, the maritime activities of Jang BoGo, who was the maritime king of the commercial maritime empire in East Asia in the 9th century, give many implications to the international logistics network strategy that Korea has to take in order to become a power of International Logistics. Though the trading and economic environments at that time may be quite different from today, the super-national maritime management pattern that Jang Bo-go, founder of the Northeast Asian maritime trading kingdom devised, gives us many implications in the global trading and economic environments, in the respects of overseas direct investment and international logistics. Accordingly, the paper aims to examine the establishment of hub port in Northeast Asia, modelled after the maritime network management strategy of Jang BoGo.
