  • Because of giving the first consideration primarily to planning interior spaces and parking areas in multi-family housing, the pedestrian space, although an important factor, has come to be neglectful. Nevertheless, the design competitions introduced for the first time in 1980s have played significant roles in developing the flesh ideas and concepts in housing design. Because pedestrian spaces have been respectable modification as a result of generalizing, it is important to review the types applied in competitions until now. In this context, the goal of this study Is to classify the types of pedestrian space and analyze their design characteristics in the proposals of housing design competitions in 1990s.

고령자 가정환경수정 관련 정책에 대한 이해: 작업치료사의 관점에서 (Understanding Policies related to Home Modification for the Elderly: An Occupational Therapist's Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 국내·외 가정환경수정 관련 정책들을 살펴봄으로써 'Aging In Place; AIP' 실현을 위한 국내 가정환경수정 관련 제도의 방향성과 가정환경수정 전문가로서 작업치료사에게 요구되는 역량에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 국내 가정환경수정 분야의 확장과 작업치료사 역량 강화를 위해 가정환경수정의 설계와 중재 실현이 반영된 명확하고 실질적인 가정환경수정 프로세스 확립이 요구되며, 거주인의 구체적인 필요와 요구를 파악하는 평가와 국내 주택 유형의 특성을 반영한 가정환경 평가도구의 적절한 선택 및 표준화 과정이 필요하다. 또한 정책과 제도에 대한 이해 및 타 분야 전문가와의 소통·협력을 위한 관련 지식 기반 구축을 위해 노력해야 할 것이다. 제도적 측면에서는 기존의 저소득층, 장애인 중심으로 시행되었던 주택개조 지원제도에서 저소득 고령자를 포함하여 소득 수준에 관계없이 고령자가 자신의 노화에 적응해 갈 수 있는 주택개조 지원제도가 필요하다. 더불어 국외 사례에서와 같이 베리어프리(Barrier Free) 주택개조 지원제도와 정부와 지자체의 협력을 통한 지원범위 확대, 저리 융자와 조세 감면, 환경수정 서비스 관련 단체 및 기관들의 거버넌스 구축 등 다양하고 효율적인 방안 마련을 위해 노력할 필요가 있다.

장애인을 위한 주택개조 사업의 특성과 주택개조가 거주후 만족도에 미치는 영향 (Characteristics of Housing Renovation for the Disabled and the Effects of Housing Renovation on Their Housing Satisfaction)

  • For the quality of life and independent living of the disabled, government has provided financial supports for housing renovation and improvement projects for the disabled. However, there is a limited budget which should be properly distributed for a number of disabled families. Therefore, it is important to decide which parts should be improved for housing renovation for the disabled. Financial and administrative supports for the renovation should improve housing conditions in terms of accessibility (barrier free) and should bring the better comfort for the disabled. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of the housing renovation projects, to investigate whether the renovation influence occupants' satisfaction, and to examine which factor such as renovation cost and renovation elements would influence the degree of satisfaction for residents with disabilities. Participants of this study are limited to the recipients of financial supports for housing renovation and refurbishment from City of Seoul and Ministry of Health and Welfare. A total of 153 cases were analyzed using post occupancy survey and the project cost data for the participants' housing were collected. Overall, more cost were used for modification for housing condition than for removal of architectural barriers. Housing type and physical condition of the housing affects cost for renovation more significantly. Overall the improvement cost is positively related to resident's satisfaction using regression analysis. In addition, it is important to meet the residents specific needs for repair, refurbishment, and renovation of housing.

집합주택의 실공간구성을 위한 거주자 행태연구 (A Behavioral study for the Space Organization of Dwelling Unit of Apartment)

  • The behavioral-related environmental study for multifamily housing is needed to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. So, the aim of this study is to find out the living style and housing needs in terms of interaction between the users behavior pattern and orgarnization of physical home space. For the purpose, the field experiments in Pusan, have been carried out with 318 households living in apartments by plan types(2BL, 3BL, 4BL, 5BL) which were classified by number of bedrooms. The dwelling space usage behavior(room use pattern and furniture uasge pattern) and the space adjustment behavior(physical modification of space and preferred space adjustment attitude) were examined and analyzed.

농촌거주 시각장애인의 주택개조사례 과정을 통해 본 맞춤형 개조 방향도출연구 (A Study on the Direction for Customized Home modification Through the Process for a case of Visually Impaired Person in Rural Area)

  • There is a growing interest on and expansion of rights of people with disabilities. Among them, people with visual impairment show high adaptation to environments in comparison to people with other types of disabilities, thus a large percentage of them live in their own houses rather than residing in a care facility. According to the housing status of people with visual impairment, the ratio of their residence in rural areas is high. In rural areas people who have disabilities often live in poor residential environments, requiring much improvement. However, such improvement is too costly for them to pay, and home modification that does not fully consider the user, may cause less efficiency and another dangerous situation to people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to delineate empirical lessons for direction of customized home modification for people with disabilities through analysis of process of home modification including the execution as a intervention. This study used qualitative method to examine and analyzed the entire customized home modification process. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, home modification measures should be derived considering the suitability of the target building for the specific condition of residents. Second, discussions with various stakeholders from the early stage during which proper home modification measure is searched are essential for realizing appropriate customized home modification. This study has significance in that it provides the direction for customized home modification for people with disabilities as well as empirical data that could reduce trials and errors in the future.

서울시 역세권 청년주택 사업 적지평가 모형: 5차 운영기준 개정과 청년수요의 반영을 중심으로 (Suitability Modelling for Potential Sites for Seoul's 2030 Youth-Housing Projects: Focusing on the 5th Policy Modification and the Youth's Demand)

  • The Seoul's 2030 Youth-Housing is a policy to promote the development of private sector-built rental housing in a Station Influence Area (SIA). It is a representative policy to resolve a housing problem for the youth in Seoul. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has made continuous policy improvements to respond to earlier criticisms on the policy. In December 2018, the Seoul Metropolitan Government enlarged the possible spatial boundaries of the SIA that the private sector developer can carry out the housing development projects. This study attempts to assess the potential sites available in Seoul by considering the youth's demand. This study used the suitability modelling technique to evaluate the potential sites. In detail, we established three sub-models by reflecting rent, accessibility to living areas of the youth, and accessibility to living SOC for the youth's demand. According to the results, the Hanyang City Wall area, which was newly included by the recent policy revision, showed moderate scores to fit the housing projects, while some Gangbuk areas, which have high accessibility and relatively lower rents, showed the best scores appropriate for the projects. The age group of 20s preferred university districts, while the age group of 30s preferred to locate near Seoul's main office areas. We suggest that the Seoul metropolitan government develops better ways to guage and reflect the demand for differing youth groups and the demand by age groups.

주택문화관의 브랜드 아이덴티티 표현특성에 과한 사례조사 연구 (A Case Study on the Expression Characteristics of Brand Identity in Housing Cultural Center)

  • The essence of brand identity is to draw an interrelation between user and brand based on user's desire. The housing cultural center is focused on brand identity for satisfaction of user. The purpose of this study is to inquire out the expression characteristics of brand Identity in housing cultural center according to analyze previous studies and case studies. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 'Uniqueness' is directly expressed through brand name or logo or through brand colors. 'Experience' is expressed as auditive expression through stimulation using a body and providing music. 'Relationship' has provided a communication environment or created relationship with brand by leading interaction with others. 'Estheticism' has increased visual satisfactory level by aesthetically sublimating lighting direction or form. 'Functionality' is expressed by providing various programs through smooth flow plan and grafting with the latest technology. 'Non-dailiness' has affected memory territory by inducing curiosity and astonishment through space modification or new and contrasting direction. The housing cultural center needs to be planned as a space where interaction of user and brand will be initiatively activated sensationally and psychologically by pursuing user-oriented brand identity.

  • Since the Intelligent Building was first introduced in early 1980s, It has been studied and designed by related technical experts as it was called by the name of intelligent Building, High-tech Intelligence Building, High-capacity Building, Intellectual Building, etc. Despite the need for new concept as the relation between global environment and architecture has become an issue on a full scale since 1990s and with the development of high technology, former concept is maintained without modification or complement. Especially, attempt to combine industrial technology with architecture is essential to Intelligent Building, therefore frequent opportunity of self-innovation according to the development of technology is necessary. Due to the rarity of the high-technology and its high cost, it was adopted to large-scale construction, however, nowadays, almost all kinds of buildings are getting designed with intelligent-technology. Therefore we can expect that this trend will be accelerated by evolution of technology and will position as a major stream of future architecture along with environment-friendly architecture. Through this process, we should fully be aware of the importance of the several intelligent skin technology to protect global environment and to set future direction in architecture.

국부가압 다이캐스팅 공정에서 3차원 유동 및 응고해석을 통한 자동차 변속기 Gear Housing의 주조방안 설계 최적화 (Optimization of Casting Design for Automobile Transmission Gear Housing by 3D Filling and Solidification Simulation in Local Squeeze Diecasting Process)

  • In the partial squeeze casting process, the filling behavior of liquid metal and solidification pattern in thick area have significant influence on the quality of casting products and die life. For the optimal casting design of automobile transmission gear housing, various analyses were performed in this study by using computer simulation code, MAGMAsoft and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with experimental results. By air pressure criteria, internal porosities caused by air entrap during the mold filling were predicted and reduced remarkably by modification of gating system. Also, optimal squeeze-time lag to apply partial squeeze pin in thick area was calculated and the castings was free from shrinkage defects with the result of solidification analysis. Consequently, casting design for automobile transmission gear housing was optimized and approved by Computer Tomography.

가상현실 기반 가정환경 수정에 관한 내러티브 문헌 고찰 (A Narrative Review of Home Modification Using Virtual Reality)

  • 본 고찰은 가상현실 기반 가정환경 수정 프로그램들을 살펴봄으로써 향후 국내 가상현실 기반 가정환경 수정 프로그램 개발과 적용에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 문헌고찰을 위해 Medline, Embase, Scopus 등의 데이터 베이스와 수기검색을 이용하여 2011년 1월부터 2021년 6월 현재까지 가상현실을 이용한 가정환경 수정을 다루는 있는 학술연구, 컨퍼런스 및 심포지엄 속의 연구 등을 수집하였다. 선정기준을 통해 총 7편의 연구를 선정하였으며, 선정된 연구들은 가정환경 수정을 위한 가상현실 프로그램 프로토타입 개발 및 프로그램의 수용성 및 사용성 등에 대한 양적, 질적 연구들로 나타났다. 가상현실을 이용한 가정환경 수정 프로그램은 가정환경 수정에 관여하는 이해당사자들을 위해 다양한 목적으로 개발, 적용되고 있으며, 가정환경 수정 전문가 양성 및 이해당사자들을 위한 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램과 원격 가정환경 평가, 수정 프로세스에 있어 클라이언트의 참여와 가정환경 수정에 관여하는 여러 이해당사자들과의 소통과 협업을 촉진시키는 도구로 사용될 수 있다. 향후 국내 주택의 특성을 반영한 가상현실 기반 가정환경 수정 프로그램 개발 및 실행가능성에 대한 연구가 이루어져야할 것이며 가정환경 수정 현장에서 프로세스를 지원하는 도구로서의 활용을 기대한다.
