In the development of housing estates, 'Sustainable development' is indispensable to achieving quality in our living environments, and to minimize any environmental problems which may threaten our way of life. Developed from the 1970's, sustainable development has become the global paradigm. Determining and improving the community elements of a sustainable housing complex is important in order to improve the quality of life within the housing complex. The purpose of this study is to suggest evaluation factors of sustainability and community for the planning of a housing complex. For this purpose, this study firstly deduce the elements of sustainability and community. In the study, literature research methods are used for data collection. The results of this study are as follows: First, the elements of sustainability are comprised of social, economic and environmental aspects. Second, the elements of community are comprised of hardware, software, and human aspects.

This study analyzes the problems, which the residential inner area has, and proposes systematic and gradual progressing improvement plan for the residential environment in the inner area. Also, planning instruction is proposed through the case study of parcel·jointed complex housing. This study can be concluded as below: (1) Improvement plans sub-divided into promoting districts and inducing districts of the residential inner area are proposed. (2) Necessity for construction of streets is proposed in order to compensate existing problems in sites. (3) Necessity of complex housings is proposed fur roadsides of household unit or small-sized annexation of parcel. (4) Collecting design examples and existing literatures, the planning guideline for jointed parcel complex housing is proposed based on the established relation with a whole surface of streets, formation and distribution of purposes and increased role of exterior space.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the present state of a outdoor space planning and to analysis plan characteristics in based on regional characteristics in Housing complex plan. The analysis result of this study is as follows : first, we know that the right of regional characteristics is appearing variously every research workers. also an analysis about regional characteristics that should be considered in housing complex plan was insufficient. Second, regional characteristics can be classified into 5 factors. These are classified as a context of location, city link, life atmosphere, needs of locals and creation of image. Third, it has originality against other housing complex to graft items connected with 'U contest' on outdoor space planning. Also, it has affirmatively effected on image of Buk-gu and recognition of Dong beyn-dong and Seo beyn-dong. It is get out of the uniform design by a planning based on land and surrounding environment in arrangement and forms. Also residents have the satisfaction and pride in arrangement considering the climate of a region and security of the green space.

Recently, we have seen the change of population and family structure, population growth has slowed and family differentiation was constantly done. A rapidly increase of single and couple household. So small-scaled house demand will be increased. Therefore this study planned to solve recent collective housing problem and to satisfy new housing demand. The purpose of planning was that low-rise high-density small-scaled of urban housing complex. This study used for two methods. First methods were literature analysis for domestic collective houses's present conditions and issues. Other purpose was to confirm change of household. Second method is case studies. It went through two phases to select the cases. The cases selected domestic and foreign each eight, total sixteen. The cases analyzed to twelve elements characteristic of housing complex, unit and community facilities. This study applied one area of Seoul to the low-rise high-density small-scaled housing complex.

In green building certificated housing complex, although various planning factors in terms of 'Energy resource and Environmental impact' were adopted, the residents' consciousness for their economical and psycholgical effect has not been found. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the usability of environment-friendly factors, with regard to the aspects of 'energy resource and environment impact' and residents, consciousness for them in order to provide the useful information to design the user-oriented green building house complex better than previous ones. the finding were summarized as follows: 1)Increasing awareness of 'green building certificated housing complex', Resident should feel contribution to the environment. 2)When mass housing planning, the development of sensible certification is required. 3)Green building certificated housing complex should change from 'certification for the Financial compensation' to 'certification for the Contribution to the environment'.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the climatic characteristic of South Korea and use it as a fundamental data for planning an environmental housing complex in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The world after the Industrial Revolution has greatly developed economically but falied to notice the importance of the environment. It has been gradually damaged by the reckless exploitation for tens of years, and thus inflicted a loss on human. In this study, necessity and usability of the application of the climatic element for planning the environmental housing complex are to be presented. The data used in this study are given by the Met.

Ever-developing information and communications technology has changed the ways of life from that of industrial society to the information-oriented community, and is widely used in a variety of social and economic contexts. Besides, urban problems in today's society are intricately involved so that the possibility of any reliable breakthrough may not to be likely. To work out these complicated problems as well as to understand the crux of the matter more comprehensively, ubiquitous urban planning has been laid out, and as a result attempts to reflect this system are cautiously made in metropolitan areas. However, most u-City planning, integrating uibiquitous technology, has focused on creating urban infrastructure and its services, therefore neglecting the importance of housing in urban space. Consequently, thorough u-City planning has yet to be defined in relation with urban space, and housing planning, established on the basis of the user-oriented housing environment, needs to be urgently made. Centering on the importance of housing in the construction of an improved future urban environment, this study aims to discuss the role of urban environment planning where metropolutan residents can enjoy a comfortable and convenient life. As well, this research paper seeks to focus attention on the consideration for users that is often disregarded but requires reflecting in the u-City planning.

This study has the purpose to investigate the landscape plans focused on the public sector housing complexes in the Seoul Metropolitan Area in the 2000s. The targeted subjects of this study are 24 districts conducted by the Corporation, and the spatial extent is limited to Seoul metropolitan area. The scope of the research is limited to the public sector, because this sector has been conducted preferentially for public needs rather than the development profit, and has positively reflected the will "pre plan - post development". In view of the study methodologies, this study examined the transition process in Korea housing complex and analyzed the design reports to extract the key planning concepts and planning methods of landscape planning. The main concepts of landscape planning analyzed in this study were urban landscape, natural landscape, streetscape, architectural landscape, axis for viewing, landmark, skyline and landscape by areas. The key planning methods of landscape planning were landmark, which is a point landscape element, axis for viewing and skyline, which are linear landscape elements, landscape by areas which is an area landscape element, and finally complex landscape, walking landscape and nightscape, which are three-dimensional landscape elements.

Digital convergence era has been already started and is rapidly developed. Recently, convergency technology became an essential issue in all industries, and is expected to accelerate. This means that we can experience growth and change of architecture using new technology and approaching method. The AR (Augmented Reality) technology, among these convergence technology, is a kind of virtual reality technology that user can see a scene of real world which is overlapped by virtual world with additional information. It has been used in manufacturing and management in the whole industry fields including medical, mechanical, military field and so on because it can provide higher sense of reality. Thus, in this paper, we suggest the utilization of AR technology for organically connecting the roads, facilities, green area, landscape and others in the layout planning of housing complex. Users can see real world with virtual object by overlap computer graphic on the real world. This method provides users with various information about territoriality and openness. As the result of this study it is expected that this technology will help the layout planning of housing complex to become more reasonable in the aspect of design, time and cost.
