다중 이용 건물 또는 지하 실내 공간의 용도에 따른 라돈 오염도 비교와 지하 공간의 시간대별 라돈 농도 변화 (Evaluation of Radon Levels in Various Public-acess Buildings or Underground Facilities, and Their Temporal Variation in Underground Facilities)

  • A lesser degree of research is available with respect to indoor radon characteristics associated with occupants' exposure. The present study evaluated the radon levels in several public-access buildings or underground facilities, and their temporal variation in underground facilities. Radon measurements were conducted in 2005 and 2006, utilizing a continuous radon detector. A solid alpha detector (RAD7) was utilized to measure indoor radon levels. The mean radon concentrations obtained from the building or facilities were in a descending order: platforms of Daegu subway line 2, 2005 (32 $Bq/m^3$), hot-air bathroom (14 $Bq/m^3$), basement of office building (14 $Bq/m^3$), underground parking garage (14 $Bq/m^3$), underground shop (12 $Bq/m^3$), nursery (10 $Bq/m^3$), platforms of Daegu subway line 2, 2006 (9.0 $Bq/m^3$), platforms of Daegu subway line 1, 2006 (8.9 $Bq/m^3$), supermarket (7.9 $Bq/m^3$), hospital (7.3 $Bq/m^3$), and second-floor of office building (5.7 $Bq/m^3$). In general, underground-level facilities exhibited higher radon levels as compared with ground-level facilities. It was suggested that ventilation is an important parameter regarding the indoor levels of a subway. There was a decreasing or increasing trend in hourly-radon levels in a subway, whereas no trend were observed in a basement of office building. In addition, the radon levels in the subway lines 1 and 2 varied according to the platforms. The radon levels in the present study were much lower than those of previous studies. The average annual effective dose (AED) of radiation from indoor radon exposure was estimated to be between 0.043 and 0.242 mSv/yr, depending on facility types. These AEDs were substantially lower than the worldwide average AED (2.4 mSv/yr).

알도 반 아이크 건축에서 "사이 영역" 개념에 관한 연구 -1945년부터 1959년 사이의 전후(戰後) CIAM을 중심으로- (A Study on the concept of "In-Between" in Aldo van Eyck's Architecture -Focus on the postwar CIAM, 1945-1959-)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal that the concept of relation in the postwar CIAM's debate was the hot issue which leaded to the collapse of CIAM, and that Aldo van Eyck developed it into the concept of "in-between". The postwar CIAM's young members voiced a critique of the universalizing attitude toward dwelling that CIAM had pursued since 1928 and looked for a new approach that would take into account the relation around dwelling. So, this study reviews the concepts of relation which were proposed by the postwar CIAM's young members. As a result, it is revealed that Aldo van Eyck extended the concept of "in-between" not to have the polarities, such as inside/outside, close/open, part/whole, neutralize or cancel one another out, but to attune them in such a way that they reinforce each other by mutual contrast, while the other young CIAM's members limited it to transition or connection. And, this paper analyzes the Municipal Orphanage in Amsterdam which was presented in CIAM 10. Through the analysis, it is revealed that the building presents many polarities simultaneously such as those; indoor and out door realms, dynamics and immutability, part and whole, and so on. In conclusion, it is possible to recognize that the concept of "in-between" is the fundamental binary-compound relation that lies at the root of Aldo van Eyck's architectural thought and bears on an interaction on a reciprocal relation between the inhabitant and the built environment.

환경온도(環境溫度)에 따른 운동(運動)수행전후 전해질(電解質) 및 호르몬의 성분변화(成分變化) (The element changes of Electrolytes and Hormones Pre & Post the Performance of Exercises Induces by Environment Temperature)

  • In order to elucidate the interrelationship between electrolytes and exercise the investigation was undertaken to determine the electrolyte levels in young males took on varied environmental temperatures ($13^{\circ}C$, $24^{\circ}C$ or $34^{\circ}C$). 10 healthy young males were used for the experiments. Our results showed the following significant changes; 1. The raising of the environmental temperature, the weight reduction were increased due to marked sweating. 2. In the electrolytes of serum, decreased the $K^+$ concentration at $13^{\circ}C$, but increased the $Na^+$ or $Cl^-$ concentration at $24^{\circ}C$, and increased the $Na^+$ or $Cl^-$, or $Mg^{+}^{+}$ concentrations at $34^{\circ}C$. 3. The raising of environmental temperature appear to be increased PRA,Ang I, Ang II and ALD levels, whereas no changed ADH level. 4. Serum levels of PRA, Ang I, Ang II and ALD were incresed after exercise, and their increments were incresed paralel ttie incresed environmental temperature. However, there no significant change in ADH, level. In conclusion, exercise induced not only changes of serum electrolytes levels such as $Na^+$, $Cl^-$, $K^+$, $Mg^{+}^{+}$, but also serum hormonal changes such as PRA, Ang I, Ang II, ALD. However, ADH level was not changed significantly, These changes were more prominent in exercise at hot temperature than in lower temperature.

Thermal Analysis of TRIO-CINEMA Mission

  • Thermal analysis and control design are prerequisite essential to design the satellite. In the space environment, it makes satellite survive from extreme hot and cold conditions. In recent years CubeSat mission is developed for many kinds of purpose. Triplet Ionospheric Observatory (TRIO)-CubeSat for Ion, Neutral, Electron, MAgnetic fields (CINEMA) is required to weigh less than 3 kg and operate on minimal 3 W power. In this paper we describe the thermal analysis and control design for TRIO-CINEMA mission. For this thermal analysis, we made a thermal model of the CubeSat with finite element method and NX6.0 TMG software is used to simulate this analysis model. Based on this result, passive thermal control method has been applied to thermal design of CINEMA. In order to get the better conduction between solar panel and chassis, we choose aluminum 6061-T6 for the material property of standoff. We can increase the average temperature of top and bottom solar panels from $-70^{\circ}C$ to $-40^{\circ}C $ and decrease the average temperature of the magnetometer from $+93^{\circ}C$ to $-4^{\circ}C$ using black paint on the surface of the chassis, inside of top & bottom solar panels, and magnetometer.

Effects of Dietary Protein Sources and Levels on Heat Production and Thermoregulatory Responses of Sheep Exposed to a High Ambient Temperature

  • Four Suffolk ewes were used in Latin Square switch over design to study the effects of varying levels and sources of protein on heat production and thermoregulatory responses at daytime high ($33^{\circ}C$ temperature. They were fed Italian ryegrass hay supplemented with fishmeal and/or urea, providing three different levels of crude protein (CP) (low/unsupplemented: 7.9, medium: 11.6, and high: 15.8%) at $1.5{\times}maintenance$. Feeds were distributed at 0900 (30%) and 1700 (70%). Urea diet caused higher heat production and increased vaginal temperature compared to fishmeal and fishmeal-urea mix diets. Time spent standing, skin temperature and respiration rate of sheep fed urea were similar with those of sheep fed fishmeal. Sheep fed diet with low CP level had higher heat production, increased vaginal and skin temperature than sheep fed diet with medium CP content. Sheep on high CP diet produced significantly more heat than sheep fed medium CP diets. Their vaginal temperatures were similar with those of sheep fed medium CP diet but lower than those of sheep fed low CP diet. Respiration rates of sheep and time spent by them for standing on all diets did not differ significantly. These results suggest that urea is inferior protein supplement for thermoregulation of animal at hot environment, as it induced higher heat production than fishmeal and fishmeal-urea mix. Thermoregulatory response on fishmeal-urea mix diet was similar to fishmeal diet. Increasing CP of the diet from low to medium gives advantage for thermoregulation of animal. Increasing CP further to high level was not beneficial as it resulted in the responses of sheep similar to those on low protein diet.

분산 컴퓨팅환경에서 하이퍼 프리젠테이션을 위한 통합 동기화 기법 (An Integrated Synchronization Method for a Hyperpresentation in a distributed Computing Environment)

  • 멀티미디어 연출을 순차적으로만 하는 것이 아니라 링크개념을 설정하여 특정지점에서 원하는 다음 정보를 보기 위하여 비순차적으로 연출할 수 있도록 하고 그 하위수준의 연출이 완료되면 다시 원래 프리젠테이션으로 되돌아 계속 연출하는 것이 하이퍼프리젠테이션의 개념이다. 이러한 순차적인 연출 시스템에 비순차적인 연출방법인 하이퍼 프리젠테이션 개념을 도입함에 있어서 하이퍼 프리젠테이션의 명시방법이나 연속미디어상의 하이퍼 링크를 위한 hot-spot 설정방법, 혼합된 프리젠테이션을 위한 새로운 동기화 명시방법과 하이퍼 링크 설정 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 DCT변환방식을 이용하여 압축된 미디어에 하이퍼 링크를 실시간으로 설정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 위에서 제시된 명시방법을 이용하여 나타낸 하이퍼 프리젠테이션 프로그램이 연출 가능한지 미리 검사할 수 있는 방법도 제안하였다. 마지막으로 지금까지 제안된 방법을 MuX(Multimedia Input/Output server)에 구현하여 실제 연출될 수 있는 시나리오를 대상으로 실험하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이종무선 네트워크 환경에서 다중모드 단말의 네트워크 간 핸드오버를 위한 무선 네트워크 탐지기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 무선 네트워크 탐지기법은 중첩 무선 네트워크 환경에서 매크로 셀에 접속되어 있는 단말이 핫스팟(hot-spot) 무선랜 모뎀을 활성화하지 않고도 핫스팟 서비스 가능 여부를 탐지할 수 있도록 참조 정보로 사용되는 핫스팟 지역 맵을 구축한다. 이를 위해 LCS 서버는 위치에 따른 전파환경 정보를 수집하여 핫스팟의 실제 서비스 영역과 근사하게 이상적 서비스 영역을 설정하고 그 맵을 단말에게 제공한다. 다중모드 단말은 이를 바탕으로 핫스팟 탐지를 위한 모뎀 활성화를 제어하여 배터리 전원을 효율적으로 사용하면서 신속하고 정확하게 서비스 가능한 무선 네트워크를 인지 할 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안한 기법과 기존의 기법들의 성능을 비교$\cdot$분석한다.

복합열전달 해석을 이용한 배플 분사기 설계 개선 (Design Improvement of Baffle Injector Using Conjugate Heat Transfer Analysis)

  • 배플 분사기는 연소실 안으로 돌출되어 횡 방향 모드로 발생하는 고주파 연소불안정을 억제하는 배플을 형성한다. 고온의 연소가스에 노출되기 때문에 배플 분사기는 케로신 유로를 통해 자체 냉각이 가능하도록 설계한다. 20개의 나선형 냉각 채널을 갖는 배플 분사기가 개발되어 30톤급 연소기에 성공적으로 적용되어 왔으며, 별도의 외부 냉각을 필요로 하는 내열재 배플이 갖던 성능 감소 문제를 해결하였다. 본 연구는 케로신 냉각유로의 설계를 개선함으로서, 냉각 성능을 만족하는 범위 내에서 제작성을 향상시켜 연소기 대형화로 인해 증가하는 배플 분사기의 제작 비용을 절감하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 배플 분사기에 대한 복합열전달 해석을 수행하였으며, 설계 수정된 배플 분사기는 75톤급 실물형 연소기에 적용하기 전에 축소형 연소기의 연소시험을 통해 열 내구성을 검증하였다.

  • 최근 기업 경영의 관심은 환경 변화에 신속히 대응하고, 지속적으로 성장하기 위한 경쟁력 확보에 있다. IT(Information Technology)가 이러한 기업의 경쟁력을 강화하는 핵심 동인으로서 주요한 역할을 담당하면서, 경영과 IT의 연계, IT를 통한 제품 및 서비스의 혁신 등이 최근 주요한 화두로 자리 잡았다. 그러나 기존의 국내외 정보화 평가지수 및 관련 연구들은 IT 자체의 양적인 구축과 활용수준, 그 경제성 효과에 초점이 맞추어져 있어서, IT가 경영 혁신을 지원하고 주도하는 수준에 대한 평가가 미흡한 것이 사실이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 차세대 정보화수준 평가 시스템이 갖추어야 하는 요건을 정의하고, 이를 기반으로 한 평가영역과 평가항목을 개발한다. 또한, 기업 정보화의 다양한 특성유형을 설명할 수 있는 다차원의 해석 방식을 제시한다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 평가시스템 EIII 2.0은 국내 금융 업종의 2개 기업을 대상으로 한 파일럿 테스트로 실용성을 검증하였다.

고령자 주거지원을 위한 주택시설설비결함과 주거만족에 관한 연구 - 전북지역의 노인가구를 중심으로 - (Housing Defects and Housing Satisfaction for Supporting to the Aged - Emphasis on the Jeonbuk Aged Households -)

  • This paper investigates housing defects and housing satisfaction of the aged according to the personal characteristics and their housing environment. Personal interview was made on the 280 senior persons living in Jeonbuk area. Research results are following. Low levels were found in education, self privately-owned property, monthly income. Most of them live in a detached house that is outdated and obsolete. The facility defects of housing were the most serious level in case of the female senior citizen who lives alone. Their house aging was old but had the high deviation among households. Main influencing factors on facility defects of housing were perceived economic status and ownership of house, the next was age of the aged. Main influencing factors on the housing satisfaction were perceived economic status. Housing satisfaction was higher, the better economic level of the aged was, male than female, the less the age was, in case of hot-water usage in bathroom, owner of houses, no difference in floor level, larger storage space of kitchen was. According to the empirical results, we propose the supporting policy of hosing safety for the aged in order to reduce the risk and social cost. Especially the rate of population aging, the aged household, and the detached houses are higher in Jeonbuk rural areas than the other area. Housing facility defects of the elder who lives alone and house aging of theirs are serious level. Local government should have supporting system that considers local difference and characteristics of the aged housing.
