  • There are 3,931,822 elderly who receives long-term care at home and 1,704,469 elderly who stay at long-term care facilities in those of 34,610,000 of +65 years old population in Japan; thus, the elderly people who need home care are 2.3 times more than facilities (2016).In the near future, the number of elderly people with a degree of daily life independence and dementia category II or more will increase to 4.7 million (12.8% of the elderly population). Therefore, the use of home-care robots is essential for the disaster evacuation of the overwhelming majority of those elderly who need home care and for of vitals checks to keep family, caregivers, and medical professionals informed to reduce the risk in chronic health conditions in welfare evacuation centers. This also helps to care for the caregivers who are caring for the elderly, and the introduction of home-robots to evacuation centers should receive prompt attention from our care-friendly society.

미국에서 노인을 위한 "스마트홈(SmartHome)" 개념의 요소와 적용 (Elements and Application of "SmartHome" Concept for Older Adults in USA)

  • This paper is intended to suggest some reference materials for future elderly housing design, especially smart home, in Korea, by reviewing the elements and applications of smart home concept for older adults in USA. Research method includes collecting materials by attending the regular SmartHome$^{(R)}$ part meeting, the navigation of related homepages, and the analysis of collected materials. Current researches in Korea look initial stage and show some general principles without practical concept & technologies of elderly facilities. SeniorSmart$^{(R)}$ Center in USA started on August 2007 with the 3 parts of SmartHOME$^{(R)}$, SmartWHEELS$^{(R)}$ and SmartBRAIN$^{(R)}$. The Center has been doing various multidisciplinary research projects but slowing down the planned processes due to national economic recession. The major researches of SmartHome$^{(R)}$ part can be summarized as follows; CS-PFP( Continuous Scale Physical Function Performance) laboratory is being in operation to help older adults and families make the difficult decision regarding the ability and safety to live independently. Three levels of necessary laboratories from uninhabited space to senior living environment were accommodated for field research. As core technologies of SmartHome$^{(R)}$, predicting & warning system of fall risk on recognizing gait signature patterns to identify any deviation from the normal patterns of the older adults, home monitoring system which will send alerts to a specified relative and/or health care professional when vital signs of the older adults will not be within normal parameters, and Mobility & Research Clinic for evaluating, treating the older adults & multidisciplinary research are under development. SmartHome$^{(R)}$ has made collaborative research agreements for field laboratory with various retirement communities and also is continuing to work for experimental software engineering with the Fraunhofer Institute, Germany.

농촌거주 시각장애인의 주택개조사례 과정을 통해 본 맞춤형 개조 방향도출연구 (A Study on the Direction for Customized Home modification Through the Process for a case of Visually Impaired Person in Rural Area)

  • There is a growing interest on and expansion of rights of people with disabilities. Among them, people with visual impairment show high adaptation to environments in comparison to people with other types of disabilities, thus a large percentage of them live in their own houses rather than residing in a care facility. According to the housing status of people with visual impairment, the ratio of their residence in rural areas is high. In rural areas people who have disabilities often live in poor residential environments, requiring much improvement. However, such improvement is too costly for them to pay, and home modification that does not fully consider the user, may cause less efficiency and another dangerous situation to people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to delineate empirical lessons for direction of customized home modification for people with disabilities through analysis of process of home modification including the execution as a intervention. This study used qualitative method to examine and analyzed the entire customized home modification process. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, home modification measures should be derived considering the suitability of the target building for the specific condition of residents. Second, discussions with various stakeholders from the early stage during which proper home modification measure is searched are essential for realizing appropriate customized home modification. This study has significance in that it provides the direction for customized home modification for people with disabilities as well as empirical data that could reduce trials and errors in the future.

실천적 문제 중심 프로그램 개발 과정에 따른 초등 가정과 세계시민교육 내용체계 개발 (Development of Content System in Practical Problem-Based Home Economics Global Citizenship Education Program for Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정의 맥락에서 세계시민교육이 필요함에 따라 실천적 문제 중심 프로그램 개발 과정에 따른 초등 가정과 세계시민교육 프로그램 내용체계를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 분석, 설계, 개발 및 전문가 협의 과정을 거쳐 이루어졌다. 첫째, 분석 단계에서는 가정과에서의 세계시민교육이 요구되는 교육적 흐름을 밝히기 위해 2022 개정 교육과정 총론과 각론, 교육부 발표 자료, 세계시민교육 관련 미래 교육 문서를 분석하여 국가 교육과정에서 세계시민교육의 필요성을 확인하였다. '급변하는 미래 사회를 살아갈 학생들은 세계시민역량이 반영된 가정과교육에서 실천적 행동을 통해 궁극적인 목표인 개인과 사회의 웰빙을 이루는 것이 목표'임을 관계적으로 보여주는 가정과 세계시민교육 목표 프레임워크를 도출하였다. 이에 따라 항구적 문제로 "생활환경과 관련한 지속 가능한 선택을 위해 세계시민으로서 나는 어떤 행동을 해야 할까?"를 설정하였다. 설계 단계에서는, 2022 개정 초등학교 가정과교육과정에서 '생활환경과 지속 가능한 선택' 영역의 핵심아이디어 네 개를 분석하여 하위관심사와 실천적 문제를 각각 도출하였다. 마지막으로 개발 단계에서는, 가정과 세계시민교육 목표 프레임워크에서 근거한 네 가지 내용요소 도출 기준에 따라 내용요소를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 미래 사회를 대비하는 세계시민역량 관련 문서와 2022 개정 교육과정 총론과 가정과교육과정을 분석하고 가정과에서의 세계시민교육 필요성을 분석하여, 가정과 세계시민교육의 기반이 되는 교육방향을 제시한 데 의의가 있다.

신규임용교사의 H-PCK 형성과정 탐색: 2017 부산지역 가정과 신규임용 교사를 대상으로 (The Research on H-PCK(Pedagogical Contents Knowledge in Home Economics Education) formation process of 2017 Novice Teacher in Busan)

  • This study investigates the process of PCK formation for 2017 novice teachers in Busan. This study was conducted parallel to quantitative research using the H-PCK measurement tool as well as qualitative research methods through an open questionnaire and after-interview. Consequently, the H-PCK level of novice teachers was 3.51. The knowledge of perspective on home economics education (KP) was 3.87, knowledge of home economics curriculum (KC) was 3.37 and the knowledge of home economics instructional strategies (KI) was 3.39. Study participants reported that curriculum knowledge, curriculum content knowledge, and teaching strategy knowledge were formed through preparation for appointment; however, it was not possible to judge if PCK was formed for the restructuring ability or the reconstruction ability. Knowledge related to curriculum content was learned through teacher training, internet teacher community, and internet information materials. Knowledge of teaching strategies was learned through 1-2 teaching consulting or peer scholarship. It is necessary to revise the university curriculum (such as expansion of curriculum education, expansion of experience in teaching practice, and actual case study) order to form PCK. Second, it should be developed and operated various training programs for the formation of home economics education curriculum knowledge. Third, it is necessary to organize a nationwide system to support the mentor. In the future, it is necessary to study PCK analysis for each unit and topic as well as to explain methods that can be provided to field teachers.

여성의 노동공급에 관한 고찰 (The Review of Female Labor Supply)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct the review of female labor suply, and thus, to provide useful theoretical and empirical frameworks for future studies related to female labor supply. Based on the theory of the allocation of time, the process of individual labor supply was systematically reviewed. Participation Probit/Logit, Tobit, and Selection B;ias Corrected Regression were considered in estimating the function of female labor supply which modifies the selection bias. Based on the previous empirical results, wage rate, asset income, husband's income, the level of eduction, and child-related variables such as the presence of child and the number of children might be considered for the empirical specification of female labor supply.

가정과교육에 있어서 의생활 영역의 교육목표와 내용 체계 연구 (Development of educational objectives and content standards for clothing life area of home economics education)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가정과교육의 이론적 체계에 기초하여 의생활 영역의 교육목표와 내용 체계를 구안하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 문헌 분석, 의생활 교육내용에 대한 요구도 조사, 전문가 협의 및 워크샵을 실시하였고, 이를 교육목표와 내용기준의 개발에 반영하였다. 교육목표는 대영역 목표와 하위 목표로 제시하였으며, 개발된 하위 목표에 따라서 각 내용 체계를 개발하였다. 의생활 내용 체계는 내용기준의 형태로 개발하였으며, 각 내용기준에 따라 내용요소를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 내용요소는 내용기준에 적절한 최소의 핵심적인 내용만을 제시하였기 때문에 앞으로의 교육과정이나 교과서를 개발할 때 융통성을 가질 수 있다.

대안교육의 국내외 사례를 통한 발전방안 연구: 가정교과 교육의 관점에서 (A Study on Alternative Education Improvement Plan based on Domestic and Overseas Cases: In the Perspective of Home Economics Curriculum)

  • This study collects and analyzes data on educational philosophy and method for domestic and overseas alternative schools. This information is then applied to educational purpose and curriculum for a home economics curriculum that develops unique characteristics for Korean alternative education.This study collected and analyzed the characteristics of educational content and educational elements from two renowned alternative schools: Waldorf School in Germany and Summer Hill in the United Kingdom. The research results were as follows. First, it is necessary to create new word instead of using the term 'alternative education'. Second, among characteristics of Korean home economics curriculum, 'practical problem-solving ability', 'independent living ability', and 'relation forming ability' should be utilized to create a school with an independent curriculum and to establish a unique brand value. Third, time investment on instructor education should be made to cultivate competent and charming instructors as the center of a school. Lastly, school education should manage student's life at school and after graduation. The school and instructor should provide alternative education while thinking they are responsible for 50 years of a student's future life. This study helps show that alternative education is not perceived as a superficial and generalized education and that Korean alternative education can find similar characteristic to those of overseas cases.

가정과교육에서 "나와 가족생활" 영역의 교육목표와 내용체계 연구 (The Development of Educational Objectives and Systemization of Contents for 'Family Life' Area in Home Economics Education)

  • 이 연구는 가정과 교육과정 개발의 이론적 체계를 틀로 하고 선행 연구와 교육과정 동향의 분석, 교육내용 요구조사를 고려하여 $\ulcorner$나와 가족생활$\lrcorner$ 영역의 교육목표와 내용체계를 구안하였다. 개발된 시안은 전문가 협의와 워크숍을 통해 다양한 의견을 수렴하여 수정 보완하여 최종안을 구안하였다. $\ulcorner$나와 가족생활$\lrcorner$ 영역의 교육목표는 '나와 가족생활을 개인과 가족, 사회, 문화의 맥락에서 이해하고 나와 가족생활 중에 일어나는 실천적 문제를 해결하여 건강한 가족생활을 영위할 수 있다.'로 선정하였다. 개발된 내용체계를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

3세 이하 자녀를 둔 취업모의 탁아 실태와 탁아에 대한 죄책감 (The Actual Condition of Day Care Type and guilt in the employed Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the actual condition of day care type and guilt in employed mothers. The subjects consisted of 172 employed mothers who had children from 2 to 36 monthes of ages. The results showed that the actual conditions of day care type were mostly child care by relatives. Factors that were useful in predicting guilt of employed mothers were the following variables ; satisfaction of day care, change of caregiver, the value of children. Implications for knowledge as well as recommendations for future research are discussed.
