Development of an efficient Service Management on Jini HomeNetwork (지니 홈네트워크상의 효율적인 서비스 관리 시스템 개발)

  • Jini is a promising HomeNetworking middleware of computing environment based on Java Technology. To support Homenetwork service based on Jini, Jini device requires a successive operation and complicated management. In this paper, our service management system is a service provider component and lookup service component including automation module. Our automatin module privide searching and setting function of a library, runtime environment and class file system cinfiguration information for Jini service. Our system can be accomplished by automation of runtime environment, simplification of service management structure, visualization of service execution.

  • As the interest of environment is increasing all over the world, the effort to protect environment in many industries is also being made. In the case of Construction, the effort keeps being made in effect as well. Therefore, this paper suggests the environmental-friendly smart component system which contains multiple performances such as Environmental-friendly, high-durability, variability, renovation and comfort and could be the basic factor of future building. As the enquired performances for the development of environmentally-friendly intelligent component system are grasped, the key technology to be embodied are analyzed. In the result of the analysis, SI(Skeleton & Infill) housing and Home automation are deduced as the key technology. Furthermore, it look through concept and development tendency of the main factors. Finally environmental-friendly smart component system is suggested with conversing the factors deduced.

  • Recently, research on the automation of home IoT has been carried out in which IoT (Internet of Things) is applied inside the home. However, the conventional IoT automation system has a problem that the operation of the device is limited only by the threshold value of the sensor, so that the device may collide and interfere with each other and the efficiency of the Task is low due to the malfunction of the device. In this paper, we propose a Situation-specific task classification algorithm to solve these problems. Using the sensor threshold and the current date as classification values in the decision tree, the task according to the internal situation of the home is classified and the corresponding device is selected and proceeded. Therefore, it is expected that the users will be provided with a service that changes flexibly according to changes in the internal situation of the home, and the accuracy of the operation will be increased by reducing the malfunction of the device and the collision between the devices.

  • PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.

  • In this paper, we describe the internet-based remote home automation system that con control and manage home appliances or digital devices bi-directionally through Internet. The platform-independency of VRML and Java applet enables users to access their home appliances and to check current state of them in t he virtual reality environment. The main focus is on three aspects. One is on the virtual reality technology to support the user interface efficiently by using 3D GUI in web-browser. Another is on the system architecture that consists of Home server and its manager server called Gate server in this paper. These servers have been implemented by Java RMI which is the basic single programming interface for distribution of objects and services using Java technology. The third, remote PLC controller and each digital devices are composed of home networking by PLC using CEBus protocol.

  • In the era of home automation, we need more context-aware and intelligent service applications than before. For these applications, a service gateway as a platform is required to bridge the gap between external data networks to internal home networks. Also, the sonics gateway enables customers to receive new classes of home services. The OSGi service platform is a good solution for the service gateway since it can deliver new applications dynamically from a broader network.   • This paper proposes two systems. One is a Home Gateway(HG) which efficiently connects and controls digital appliances in the home network environments. The other is a Management Server(MS) that overcomes the physical limitation of the HG. The HG supports networking modules(TCP/IP for Ethernet, ADSL), home networking functions(HomePNA, IEEE1394 PLC) and telecommunication system(PSTN/SLT, VoIP, Video Communication). The HG is expected to be a core device for the integrated digital home environments. The MS is a dedicated server which manages and controls individual HG, home appliances and HA devices implemented at an area.

  • In this paper, we propose a Designed and Developed home router management system. Through the fourth industrial revolution and development of IoT technology, now people can experience a wide range of IoT related services at their workplace or daily lives. At the industrial site, IoT devices are used to improve productivity such as factory automation, and at home, IoT technology is used to control home appliances from a remote distance. Usually IoT device is integrated and controlled by the router. Home router connects different IoT devices together at home, however when security issues arise, it can invade personal privacy. Even though these threats exist, the perception for home router security is still insufficient. In this paper, we have designed and developed home router management system using DEVS methodology to promote the safe use of home router. Through the DEVS methodology, we have designed the system and developed the mobile application. This management system enables users to set up security options for home router easily.

  • With the development of modem communication and networking technology, more and more computing and communication facilities, automation equipments, hone information appliances and different type of networking terminals come into home all over the world. The user can control information appliances in home environments. The home environment can communicate with the external network via phone line, wired LAN, wireless LAN, or mixed. However, home information appliances that are connected to the external network are under attack and need to be secured. So specifying suitable security requirements and policies for digital home environment is critical in hone networking environments.   • This paper describes the performance index of mobile robot and development of testbed which is used to evaluate the index. The developed testbed has rectangular structure similar to a living room of home. It is semi-automation testbed system for evaluation of cleaning performance index. This system is composed with scattering and cleaning equipment of test materials, equipment rifting of objects in inner space and sides itself, vision processing system. To be consistent of performance evaluation of cleaning robot, we make use of camera in this system for the sake of measurement of robot s mobility, path and suction quantity.
