Furthermore, they had unstable employment status and suffered from financial burden for health care costs. The Labor Welfare Organization has established a plan to remove barriers of industrial accident victims in reinstatement, and has been preparing various programs in order to establish an all-embracing service system for industrial accident victims from accident occurrence to reinstatement. However, these rehabilitation services can be truly helpful only when the injured are able to obtain enough information about them. • Purpose: This study was investigated the knowledge, attitudes, and educational needs of nursing students regarding the sexuality of elderly individuals. Methods: This was a descriptive study. Data were collected from April $1^{st}$ to $22^{nd}$, 2016. One hundred ninety-three nursing students in Daejeon city and Chungcheongnam-do were surveyed. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. Results: Mean scores on the knowledge, attitudes, and educational needs measures were 15.74/29, 28.45/40, and 36.67/50 respectively. There were significantly differences in major variables according to needs for sexual education of the elderly. There were also significant differences in knowledge and educational needs depending on students' age and year in school. Higher levels of knowledge of sexuality were significantly correlated with more positive attitudes and higher educational needs. Positive attitudes were also correlated with higher educational needs. Conclusion: Nursing students showed a low level of knowledge and poor attitudes towards sexuality in the elderly. This suggests that there is a need for education on the sexuality of the elderly in the nursing curriculum. This education would guide nursing students to obtain correct knowledge and positive attitudes so that they would be able to provide effective and appropriate sexuality care for elderly patients.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors associated with the health-related quality of life of family caregivers. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted. This study included 191 primary family caregivers of elders who used home care services (home-visit nursing, home-visit care, daycare) covered by the public long-term care insurance. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from December 2010 to June 2011. These data were analyzed by using hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The majority of the family caregivers were female (79.6%) and daughters-in-law (28.8%). The mean depression score was $6.33{\pm}6.49$ and the mean health-related quality of life score was $0.69{\pm}0.39$. It was found that the factors affecting the health-related quality of life of family caregivers included depression (${\beta}$=-.406, p<.001), home-visit nursing use (${\beta}$=.296, p<.001), and daycare use (${\beta}$=.178, p=.015), which accounted for 36.6% of their health-related quality of life. Conclusion: Using home-visit nursing and daycare services has a positive effect on the health-related quality of life of family caregivers. To improve health-related quality of life of family caregivers, South Korea needs to fully activate the home-visit nursing and daycare services, and to strengthen family support programs.
