Erwinia carotovora subsp. Carotovora (Ecc), a pathogen of tobacco hollow stalk disease, was isolated for testing susceptibility to streptomycin from diseased plants in burley tobacco growing area. Of 157 isolates tested, 17 isolates (108%) were resistant to the antibiotic at the antibiotic from field soils, which streptomycin had been used continuously for three years for control of the disease was three times higher than those of non-used. There was no difference in virulence and generation time between streptomycin-sensitive and resistant strains.

Single overload tests are carried out for SS41. Specimens are used hollow type and solid type that stress condition prevail plane stress and plane strain at surface crack. According to the crack initiation and propagation period, single overload applies to three regime and overload ratios change into 1.5, 2.0. Crack retardation zones at initation range aren't different in both specimens respectively, however at propagation range come into large scale in hollow specimen. Delayed load cycles come into large scale in solid type. And the more the overload ratio increase, the larger the retardation zone increase but the magnitude doesn't exactly equal to the expected from the overload ratio.

Hemofilter was optimally designed and manufactured using polysulfone hollow fiber mem- brane with surface area of 0.6mE Molecular weight cut-off of the hemofilter was measured with polyethylene glycol and dextran aqueous solutions of various molecular weights and it was ranged from 9,500 to 38,900. Ultrafiltration rates were measured with pure water in a static system and flowing system. The clearance of urea, creatinlne, and vitamine BIB were measured using aqueous solutions.

This study has designed to investigate the removal effect of sewage treatment effluent by ultrafilter membrane species and then to analyze the change of pH, bacteria and E. coli., the concentration of chlorides. Ultra filtration process did not effective to remove chloride, Ca and Mg. Spiral type ultrafiltration process was more effective to remove chemical oxygen demand of sewage treatment effluent than Hollow type ultrafiltration process. The flux of spiral wound ultrafilter was higher than the hollow fiber ultrafilter.

This paper presents the confinement effect of transverse reinforcement and cross-tie in hollow rectangular sectional columns. 20 analytical models with different amounts of transverse reinforcement and cross-tie in a plastic hinge region were analyzed by 3D nonlinear FEM. The analytical results show that the higher ductility can be achieved by the resonable combination of transverse re-bar and cross-tie providing sufficient lateral confinement.

본 논문에서는 composite hollow bushing에 사용되는 FRP tube의 winding 각도 및 장력 변화에 의한 변위 특성을 해석하였다. Winding 각도 및 장력에 따라 FRP tube의 인장 및 굽힘강도 특성이 변화되므로 최적의 composite bushing의 설계하기 위해서는 이에 대한 해석 및 시험이 요구된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 와인딩 각도 및 와인딩 장력에 따른 굽힘강도와 변위에 대하여 고찰하였으며, 와인딩 장력에 따른 각각의 특성에 대해서도 검토하였다.

This paper addresses the state of arts of microneedles for the transdermal drug delivery applications. Microneedles can be classified based on materials and shapes. For the materials, microneedles could be made of ceramics, metals and polymers. The shape of the microneedles can be classified into solid and hollow microneedles. Methods of transdermal drug delivery based on microneedle patch are discussed, and various fabrication methods of microneedle patches are introduced.

MF membrane element was specially designed for water purification and VSA process which can solve the fouling problem. Especially VSA process is developed for the SK Chemicals' asymmetric microfiltration hollow fiber membranes. In case of outside-to-in filtration process, MF membrane element showed the excellent flux stability caused by cleaning ability of VSA process . Simultaneous back-washing with VSA consideratbly enhances cleaning efficiency. From the result the possibility of the replacement of chemical coagulation and sand filtration process with newly developed VSA process was revealed.
