본 논문에서는 교량사의 한 분야로 주교(舟橋)(부교(浮橋)) 제도(制度)에 대한 사적고찰(史的考察)과 전통고유주교(傳統固有舟橋)가 어떠한 구조형식(構造形式) 인지에 대하여 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 주교제도가 완비된 조선조말(朝鮮朝末) 제 22대 정조(正租)때 주교(舟橋)을 놓기 위한 주교사(舟橋司)라는 상설기관을 설치하였는데 이 주교사에서 제정한 주교설치(舟橋設置) 절차인 주교사절목(舟橋司節目)과 이에 대한 정조의 변론(辯論)과 어제문(御製文)으로 지은 주교지남(舟橋指南)이 기록으로 전한다. 이것을 바탕으로 전통주교를 오늘날의 교양사(橋梁史) 한 부분으로 구성하여 기술사적(技術史的)인 측면에서 고찰하였다.

In Korea, engineering education based on industry demand is highly emphasized; the survey of industry demand or company satisfaction is frequently conducted. Although engineering schools have often attempted and implemented the reform of engineering education, it was found that company satisfaction with college education was always low. In this context, this study aimed to find the cause of the low satisfaction. To this end, the social background for the active survey of industry demand and company satisfaction, and its progress were investigated. The findings of this study showed that the survey of industry demand in Korea has limitations in improving the quality of college education or developing its future demand, contrary to its intention. This industry demand based approach has its historical and social root in the Korea-specific model of the catching-up style industry development and technology innovation. Therefore, it is difficult to establish appropriate academy-industry relations and discover future vision based on this model. This study presents a new way to understand and develop the future-oriented industrial and social demand, not just arguing for the uselessness of the survey of industry demand in engineering education.

This study analyzed the type of format and content expression of fashion films, from the perspective of promotion and advertisement. For the analysis, a reference research and case study were employed. Our results showed that the format type of fashion films are categorized as movie type; films that convey a story through lines and provide an interesting element as well as artistic value;, video clip films which consist of intriguing sections in a short-length film;, animation type; films that deliver a message through the virtualized world and a created character;, and music video fashion films that use the musical technique to convey how the story of fashion film is structured. The type of content expression of fashion films are divided into direct expression, which exposes the collection of clothes and accessories directly in fashion films;, metaphorical type; which visually delivers the brand image and product;, and the documentary type; that delivers the brand story and historical facts related to the brand. The study on the analysis of fashion films through type of format and content expression shows how fashion brands effectively and strongly promote their products, enhance their brand values, and increase an interest among the customers.

Recently, it is one of the popular fashion and cultural events that people of the younger generation put on a hanbok and take a picture together with communicating by SNS. For this reason, the rent-hanbok market takes a big part of the Korean traditional costume market. Therefor, the recognition of hanbok is changed from the style of uncomfortable and ceremonial clothes, to becoming popular as everyday dress in the younger generation. The various designs of the rental hanbok show two different opinions. One is the increasing popular and general public interest and demand for wearing and showing off traditional hanbok fashions in a positive outlook. Another is the case of the wrong stereotype and knowledge for traditional costume which results in a negative outlook for this type of fashion statement. This study is to look into renting hanbok jeogori for women in Seoul and in Junju. There are 39 styles available in joegori. That being noted, the traditional jeogori has seop and git with dongjung. But it is seen that rental jeogoris do not have the seop, or have the dongjung position as similar to the Po as seen on the men's coat. The showy and colorful materials feel bad and are poorly ventilated. And excessive price competition causes a decreased quality of renting hanbok. Now the rental hanbok business needs to change; to have to make renting hanbok with the correct historical understanding, and it is necessary to have to stop the indiscriminate acceptance of foreign culture.

This study reviewed the literature on the changes in Maekjeok, Seoryamyeok and Neobiani. Choi Nam-sun first mentioned the Maekjeok in 「Maeilsinbo」 as a "Buyeo·Goguryeo" style meat roast in 1937. Maekjeok was assumed to be made of various kinds of meat, including wild boars, and it was seasoned and baked as a whole. Seoryamyeok is a royal food found in Uigwe of the Joseon Dynasty and meat that was also eaten in the private sector. In 1609, the ingredients for the dish were pork, but beef was later used. The recipe has been simplified since the 19^th century. Neobiani is known as royal cuisine, but it does not appear in official records. The first known record thus far is 'Neobiani' in 「Siuijeonseo」. On the other hand, 'Neobuhalmi' which was presumed to be the same food as 'Neobiani', was found in a 「Dictionnaire Coreen-Francais」(1880). In addition, 'Neobiani' was found in 「A Korean-English dictionary」(1897). From Maekjeok, followed by Seoryamyeok and Neobiani, Korean roasting meat culture has a common feature of roasting pre-sauced meat, and this trait has continued to bulgogi.

Caltech's Linde-Robinson Laboratory was originally built in 1932 featuring a Spanish mission-style design, whose function was to facilitate a solar observatory with a coelostat solar telescope dome and a solar shaft extending from the roof to more than 36.58m below the ground. The building has now been transformed into a cutting-edge center for research and instruction in global environmental science that retains its original character while setting new standards in energy efficiency and green design. It is the first LEED Platinum lab in the USA for renovation of a historical research building, consuming only one-sixth of the energy that the lab's comparable laboratories do. This work introduces various energy and environmental strategies hired for its sustainable rehabilitation and, especially, examines the functional validity of solar telescope daylighting by a coelostat. Observations were made on the llumination of underground floors, where illuminances of 40~50 lx were measured.

This Study in order to review the history of our children's costumes, this study examined the socio-cultural background of Chosun dynasty and then, reviewed children's costumes comprehensively during that period according to their considerations, kinds, colors and patterns. In addition, this study explored the possibility of making use of the characteristics of children's costumes during Chosun dynasty, since it was perceived that if our children should be dressed in a traditional costume designed with some traditional costume characteristics and ornaments, our tradition would be enlivened in their life and spirit. It is results can be summed up as follows; Our traditional costumes consisted basically of Yu(襦), Go(袴). Sang(裳) and Po(袍) and additionally of Headgear(冠帽), Dae(帶), Hwa(靴) or Yi and Beosun, which must prove that the Korean people is cultural people. Our ancestors were dressed first in Yu(襦), Go(袴). Sang(裳) and Po(袍) to be supported by dae(帶). Our traditional costume style was 'front adjustment' or otherwise, left or right adjustment. Commoners' costumes would change after the series of foreign invasions and again during mid-late Chosun dynasty. During the period of King Sukjong, Jeogori was far shorter and smaller, while China was more diversified and voluminous enough to look like a jar.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning of soul fashion in American pop culture. This study was conducted using a literature research method based on the prior theses, journals and relevant books. Soul as a concept, originated in African-American communities and evolved from the ideology of Black Power, which prompted Black Nationalism. Soul fashion, which took on two styles in African American culture began to embody black resistance and community pride in the late 20th century. One of these, hip-hop style represented the message of resistance and a sense of beauty outside the mainstream. The other, African-inspired fashion, which utilized a look inspired by African tradition, rejected white supremacy by expressing a proud dignity. As a result, the meaning of "soul" in soul fashion represented by American pop culture resulted in contrasting appearance due to different elements. First, one of its meanings is ironic and sarcastic, and it expressed historical trauma, cultural stereotypes, self-hatred, and self-degradation and, the self-mutilation of African-American by cynically distorting their silhouettes and, using modified materials and patterns, fantastic colors, and extraordinary accessories. Second, the other meanings is the pride and dignity of Black Power, which visualized the concentration of ideas implied by the tradition of African-American, through soul fashion by using fierce traditional of African costumes, unique patterns and accessories.

The ideal housing in the 21st century means that it can provide people with the balanced life between nature and human life, while is possible through the systematic harmony of nature, environment, and human. As our society increasingly pays attention to the importance of environment, environment friendly houses and ecological dwellings are being built. If we add our own cultural environment attribute and historical identity to the ecological housing, we can create the most unique Korean ecological architecture. This study examines ecological interior expression methods from the traditional housing architecture which started out of nature, in order to find out an ecological approach in the interior design of the dwelling space. Based upon this examination, it mainly focuses on how these methods can be applied to a modern housing architecture. From an ecological perspective, the traditional house interior has two distinct characteristics; nature friendly and human friendly, because it considered nature and human harmoniously. The interior of the traditional housing can be divided into three types; nature friendly, health friendly, and human friendly. Finally, this study investigates the ecological value of the three types and application of them to modern housing. It will help to find out the harmonious way of building a house harmonizing both nature and human. Especially, considering that the nature is being destructed and the health of human is deteriorating due to the destruction of the nature, this study will show a feasible alternative to build the most Korean style of environmental architecture.

Magoksa is famous for its location and history, compared to other traditional temples in Korea, as seen in remarks of Monk Doseon in the Shilla Dynasty: "This temple is where the three disasters can not penetrate." In contrast, the reality is that active researches are not conducted, especially on spatial studies. Magoksa has its unique spatial characteristics that can not be found in other temples of Korea, but the existing studies on Magoksa have focused on style or design aspects, and the research has placed importance in a survey form due to the lack of historical materials. The reason for approaching Zhuangzi's philosophy in studying Magoksa's space is because of the fact that it has affected Zen Buddhism and Pure Land Buddhism of Mahayana Buddhism, and that Magoksa was completed by Monk Bojo of Zen Buddhism. It is expected to deduce the meaningful results due to the reasonal aspects of mutual elements by studying Magoksa as a Buddhism temple through Zhuangzi's philosophy in that context. In pursuit and reinterpretation of the essence of Korean traditional architecture, it is important to consider morphological, stylized aspects, but a variety of methodologies might be also presented in understanding the philosophical aspects.
