  • The helicopter system is non-linear and complex. Futhermore, because of absence of an accurate mathematical model, it is difficult accurately to control its attitude therefore, we propose a fuzzy control technique to control efficiently its elevation angle and azimuth one. This controller is on the basis of expert's knowledges and his experiences. The simulation results using MATLAB are introduced.

  • With the growth of the Internet, multimedia streaming becomes an important means to deliver video contents over the Internet and the amount of the streaming multimedia contents is also getting increased. However, it becomes difficult to guarantee the quality of service in real-time over the IP network environment with instantaneously varying bandwidth. In this paper, we propose an optimal adaptation framework for streaming contents over the Internet in the sense that the perceptual quality of the multi-angie content with multiple visual objects is maximized given the constraints such as available bandwidth and transcoding cost. In the multi-angle video service framework, the user can select his/her preferred alternate views among the given multiple video streams captured at different view angles for a same event. This enhanced experience often entails streaming problems in real-time over the network, such as instantaneous bandwidth changes in the Internet. In order to cope with this problem, we assume that multi-angle video contents are encoded at different bitrates and the appropriate video streams are then selected or transcoded for delivery to meet such bandwidth constraints. For the user selective consumption of the various bitstreams in the multi-angle video service, the bitstream in each angle can be encoded in various bitrate, and the user can select a sub-bitrstream in the given bitrstreams or transcode the corresponding content in order to deliver the optimally adapted video contents to the instantaneously changing network condition. Therefore, we define the transcoding cost which means the time taken for transcoding the video stream and formulate a unified optimization framework which maximizes the perceptual quality of the multiple video objects in the given constraints such as the transcoding cost and the network bandwidth. Finally, we present plenty of the experimental results to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In recent papers (Pak et al., Pak and Kim), it was suggested to positively use the history of mathematics for the education of mathematics and discussed the determining problem of the order of instruction in mathematics. There are three kinds of order of instruction - historical order, theoretical organization, lecturing organization. Lecturing organization order is a combination of historical order and theoretical organization order. It basically depends on his or her own value of education of each teacher. The present paper considers a concrete problem determining the order of instruction for the concept of angle. Since the concept of angle is defined in relation to figures, we have to solve the determining problem of the order of instruction for the concept of figure. In order to do this, we first investigate a historical order of the concept of figure by reviewing it in the history of mathematics. And then we introduce a theoretical organization order of the concept of figure. From these basic data we establish a lecturing organization order of the concept of figure from the viewpoint of problem-solving. According to this order we finally develop the concept of angle and a related global property which leads to the so-called Gauss-Bonnet theorem.

  • Cerebral Palsy is a genetic term referring to abnormalities of motor control caused by damage to a child's brain early in the course of development. Due to the impairment of balanced perioral muscle development, the prevalence of malocclusions in patients with cerebral palsy such as maxillary protrusion is high. But most clinicians may feel uncomfortable to treatment of these problems. Here a case report about mitigation of maxillary anterior teeth protruded in patient with cerebral palsy. 8y 4m old boy who have cerebral palsy visited our dental hospital. He showed severely protrusive maxillary anterior teeth with mouth breathing and could not close his mouth. He and his mother wanted to improve dental and facial esthetic problem. Specially designed or modified intraoral fixed appliance and rubber elastic chain was used in the therapy. Treatment carried out for 8 months and we could observe maxillary incisor angle was improved and mouth breathing habit was stopped. In conclusion, modified fixed appliance therapy for the patients with cerebral palsy might be useful. Continuous rehabilitation training of lips should be followed after treatment to correct imbalance of muscle tone.

A Study on the Effects of Fin Length on Natural Convection Heat Transfer from a Inclined Flat Plate (경사평판에서의 핀길이가 자연대류 열전달에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study has been conducted experimentally on the effects of natural convection heat transfer characteristics for inclined flat plate with vertical fin in air. The effects of various fin length, flat plate inclined angle and Grashof number are mainly investigated The experimented results are as follows: The mean heat transfer coefficient increase according to the decrease of H/S in the various fin lengh. The mean heat transfer coefficient at H/S-0.5, 1.0, 1.5 for Gr=2.11$\times$103. $\theta$=00 increase by 107%, 43%, 15% than H/S=2.0. The mean heat transfer coefficient decrease with the increase of $\theta$ the inclined angles. The mean heat transfer coefficient at Gr=2.97$\times$103 is constant, at $\theta$= 00 for H/S=0.5 decrease by 33% than $\theta$=90$^{\circ}$. The mean heat transfer coefficient increase as Grashof as Grashof number increase. The mean heat transfer coefficient at Gr=2.31$\times$103, Gr=2.61$\times$103, Gr=2.97$\times$103 for H/S=1.0, $\theta$=0$^{\circ}$increase by 9%, 16%, 28% than Gr=2.11$\times$103.

  • A DMB in an ubiquitous age means that every one can share informations anytime anywhere through 'his own TV' or 'TV in his own hands'. A DMB of digital broadcastings makes the most use of informations through ubiquitous. But it has several problems just owing to retransferring existing broadcast programs in contents. So hereafter, DMB broadcasting must be produced with contents suiting its properties. After all, it is important to analyze exactly properties and service fields of medium of DMB to make an establish production direction of its contents. This paper analyzes such properties and presents overall image-contents production direction. This includes appropriate program developments and visual expressions through proper running time, camera angle and walking. The contents harmonized with its properties will give more familiarities to DMB users and it will be a new culture. In the end, it is expected that a share of DMB audience will be more higher.

  • It was aimed to study the costume of Koryo dynasty based upon the one hundred and ten pictures of the writtened Budist scripture. The costume to study were made about 400 years during the King Mok-jong(1006) to the first year of the king Kong-yang based upon the Avatamaka Sutra and the Sutra of the Lotus. 가) Men's wear : 1. Hair style and hair dress : 1) Man bored a hair and put on the hat such as a Kuan, Kun, and Mo. The young boys binds his hair up one, two, and three knots, and tied up with a hair ribbon. A kinds of hats were Tung-t'ien-kuan(Yuan-yu-kuan) and Chin-hien-kuan and as a court dress. The man wore pok-여 as an official uniform and wore a pok-du , kun-mo as an everyday dress and wore a helmet as a solidier's uniform. 2. Clothes : 1) They wore Yuan-yu-kuan and Chin-hien -kuan as a court dress, and wore belt, boots, pleated decorated ling skirt also. They wore round shape collor big sleeve jacket, small sleeve long coat, belt , boots as an official dress. 2) the soldiers wore helmet, scarf, yangdang-kap , hung-kap, bak-kap, we-yo-kap, kun-kap and jok-kap and carries arms. 3) The young boys bind his hair up one, two and three angle shape an tied up a hair ribbons. 나) Women's wear : 1. Hair Style and hair dress : high rank ladies made their hair top knot (one, two, or more knots) and tied with hair ribbons , and decorated with precious stone, pan shape head dress , wheel shape head dress. 2.   • If we look into genre movie, we can see that almost similar forms are repeated in a movie. Such similar elements are largely divided into three units from a mass of story to a very small camera angle. Those can be explained as Formula, Convention, and Iconography. Among those three, convention means custom and it is a structure or an incident in which one story can be divided into second one. Convention is an incident visualized in individual genre, and a movie director tunes audiences through the incident. The director leads a familiar story but all of a sudden, he transforms the familiar scene to a new story. As a product established from the beginning of movie history, movie convention helps communication between audiences and a director. Audiences familiarize themselves with movie convention through repeated activities of watching movies, and the director utilizes it to provide audiences with familiarity. Director Bong Joon-ho not only tunes audiences through traditional convention but also creates a new art work through transformation of convention. A study is conducted on how he used traditional convention and transformation to get a new idea and to engage in his work through his work .

  • In order to adapt ourselves to the Informationalization Society of twenty-first century, it is required to have ability to find quickly the necessary information and solve the problem of our own. In the field of school, it should be educated to develop learner's ability that can cope with the Informationalization Society. When a learner can study in such direction, he or she will be able to plan the learning of his own as the subject of education, and develop his ability to solve the problem by collecting and examining various information. It is self-leading learning that can make education like this possible. Through computer, especially Web site, self-directed learning can develop can develop the individuality and creativity of learners. They can collect and utilize autonomously information and knowledge. To do such an education, the program that can work out self-directed learning is needed. Therefore the program I want to develop is to reconstruct the 'figure' part of mathematics in elementary school into five steps by utilizing Web site. In the first step is to learn the concept of various shape. This step enable learners to know what figure is and how it can be utilized in our real life. The second step of dot, line and angle makes it possible that learners can consolidate the foundation of the study about figure and recognize the relation between angle and figure. In the third step of plane figure, we can study how to calculate the relation of plane figures and the area of figure with various shapes by cutting and adding them. The fourth step is about congruence and symmetry. Learners can learn to know the figure in congruence, reduction and enlargement and how it is used in our real life. In the fifth step of solid figure, we can learn the relation among the plane figure, solid figure, the body of revolution, corn and pyramid etc. controling the speed of learning on the basis of his ability. In the process of the program, it is also possible to develop learner's ability of self-leading learning by solving the problem by himself. Because this program is progressed on the Web site, it is possible to learn anytime and anywhere. In addition to it, a learner can learn beyond the grade as well as do the perfect learning by controling the pace of learning on the basis of his ability. In the process of the program, it is also possible to develop learner's ability of self-leading learning by solving the problem by himself.

Broden photographing method for Calcaneus Subtentaculum tali observation of Ankle plaster patient (발목부상을 당한 석고환자의 발꿈치뼈·목말받침돌기 관찰을 위한 Broden 촬영법 연구)

  • There is an Ankle Oblique(Broden' low) as an examination for the patient whose ankle was encased in orthopedic plaster. Some types of Ankle Joint coalition - Calcaneonavicular coalition, Talocalcaneal coalition and Naviculocuneiform coalition. This study is focused on the relation between Ankle Joints and the structural change of soft tissues, also finding the most proper angle to obtain good images of Ankle Joint from the patient who wore a plaster on his ankle, when we x-ray with Harris-Beath View($30^{\circ}{\sim}55^{\circ}$) - for observing Subtalar joint, Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum, Tali Fracture and Talocalcaneal coalition. We intend to get the angle which makes us achieve the good image that shows Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum, and Tali Fracture by changing internal angles of the patient's ankle. We evaluated the images obtained from 51 patients with PACS monitor. The result of the evaluation, subtalar joint was not seperated but opened, and Subtentaculum Tali Fracture was seen overlaid. at the angle 30, we could observe Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum Tali Frature and the front part of behind side of subtalar joint well. And Calcaneo Navicularcoalition, Talocal Canealcoalition, Naviculo Cuneiform coalition condition were clearly seen at that angle. At the angle 35, we could achieve the clear images of subtalar comminuted fracture, talus, the behind joint of heel bone and get the high definition image on the degree of talocalcaneal joint separation. In addition to, We could obtain the good wide image of Sinus Tarsi. At the area of 45, We can distinguish the soft tissues from gyps separation. The outer-talus and density of the bone were definitely seen and Calcaneus is more separated than that of at the angle of 35, but this image is distorted. Calcaneus, Subtentaculum Tali show $1.20{\pm}0.414$ at the angle 25, $2.47{\pm}0.516$ at the angle 30, $2.27{\pm}0.458$ at the angle 45. This difference is statistically meaningful. (p<0.05). Including the degree of distortion, The distortion appears less at the area of $30^{\circ}$ but at the area of 40, there is heavy distortion. So, We could get the best image for making a diagnosis. At the $30{\sim}35^{\circ}$ degree for X-raying ankle. and at the $30{\sim}40^{\circ}$ for Calcaneus Fracture, Subtentaculum Tali Fracture.
