  • The plastic-film-covered hill planter is a new-type seeding machine, including tow types which are mounted by 11kw and 40 kw tractors. It is made up of fertilizing , plastic-film covering perforating film and hole seeding, soil sealing apparatus, and can work at 5-7kw/h. The plastic-film covering and seeding of cotton, corn and soybean can all use this machine. The plastic-film-covered hill planter is mainly composed of plastic film covering unit, drum-type hill-drop unit and furrow coverer, some other types are also equipped with fertilizer drill unit. It can do combined work of covering plastic film , sowing , plastic film perforating , soil covering at one time, and it is suitable to the covering plastic film as well as planting of the grandulated crops, such as cotton , corn, soybean and so on.

  • The drum-type hill-drop unit, an important working device of the plastic -film-covered hill planter, can finish filling and separating seed precisely, perforating film and holing , and its seeding depth and spacing are stability . The unit is applied to hole seed many crops, for example, cotton, corn , soybean, etc. The drum-type hill-drop unit(DHU) , the key work unit to the plastic film-covered planter, mainly consists of distributor box , seeding parts, hole forming unit and drum , It can be operated to accomplish seeds distributing, hole forming , plastic film perforating . Moreover , its inner cavity can be used as seed box.

  • Upright positioning of garlic cloves has been considered as an essential process for mechanical planting because positioning affects the quality and yield of garlic production. Due to the geometrical uniqueness and irregularity of garlic cloves in shape, the planting operation has been conducted by manual. Manual planting requires intensive labors and high production cost. The overall Boal of this research was to develop a garlic clove planter which maintains a garlic clone upright. Specific objective was investigating planting condition and physical properties of garlic clove. The results were summarized as fellows : Based on the survey results, a garlic clove planter should have a planting capacity of at least 140 cloves in a pyung (3.3m$^2$) with the row spacing of 140mm and hill spacing of 120mm for a productive cultivation.

정밀 파종용 롤러식 배종장치의 설계 (Design of Roller-Type Metering Device for Precision Planting)

  • Scattering of seeds is one of the problems in the hill- dropping planters with a roller-type metering device. For crops like rice, corns and beans, the hill-dropping is own better for a high yield than the drill planting. The roller type metering device has been used for the drill planters and has many advantages. However, it has a problem of scattering of seeds when they are placed on rows. In this study a method was developed to design the roller type metering device fir the precision hill-droppings. Design parameters were derived to configure completely the geometries of the roller and brush. The method was applied to the design of the metering device of the rice seeding machines. The field test showed that the metering device designed by the method made a better performance of seed placement than that made by the precvious one. The method also can be applied to the design of metering devices for the precise hill-droppings of other crops.

논 써레질한 후의 경과일수 및 담수심이 수도이앙기의 작업성능에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Optimum Field Preparation Procedures for the Proper Working Performances of Rice Transplanters)

  • This study was conducted in order to find out the performance of rice transplanters in accordance with the change of the trans-planting days after pudding and the water depth flooding the paddy field at the time of transplanting : and thus to select the optimum paddy field preparation procedures for an efficient utilization of rice transplanters. The performance factors of the two different types of rice transplanters were measured during the first 6 consecutive days after puddling and with 3 different levels of water depth flooding the paddy fields. The results of this study were analysed and summarized as follows : 1. Wheel sinkage decreased very rapidly from 0 to 2 days after puddling and slowly from 3 to 5 days after puddling. 2. The depth of the test cone penetration decreased rapidly during the first few days after puddling. It was 17.8cm just after puddling, and decreased to 13.4cm one day after puddling. After 2 days, the rate of decrease was dampened, and after 5 days it kept constant value of 9.2cm. 3. Two days after puddling, the hill interval was 15.8cm (98.75% of the preset value) for broadcasted seedling rice transplanter with 3cm flooding depth : This value was the closest to the pre-adjusted value of 16cm. The general performance of broadcasted-seedling type rice transplanter was better than that of strip-seedling type rice transplanter. 4. Usually the working performance of a rice transplanter is evaluated with uniformity and adjustability of the hill intervals. The hill interval was the most uniform and closest to the pre-set value of 16cm when planted two days after puddling with 3cm of water depth. When it was inavoidable to plant 4 days after puddling with stripseedling type rice transplanter, it is advisable to let the water flooded somewhat deeper. 5. The percentage of missing hills including floating and burried seedlings was the highest just after puddling and ie decreased substancially until 3 days after puddling and then it increased again. Hence, the optimal time transplanting is to be between 2 and 3 days after puddling. 6. Better postures of planted seedlings were found when planter 2 days after puddling than 3 days after puddling. Six cm of flooding water depth always gave the best results with respect to the postures of planted seedlings. Broadcasted-seedling rice transplanter, in general, showed better posture of planted seedlings than did strip-seedling type rice transplanter. 7. Judging from the above results, the optimal conditions will be 3cm of flooding depth and transplanting between 2 and 3 days after puddling.

케나프 생산성 향상을 위한 안정 재배기술 개발 (Development of Stable Culture Techniques for Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.))

  • 양질의 사료작물 소재로서 국내 재배기술에 대한 재배기준이 설정되어 있지 않은 케나프를 2012~2013년 2년 동안 시험처리를 통하여 파종법을 구명한 결과 케나프의 파종방법은 기계화 파종(옥수수 파종기 사용)이 가능한 점파가 수량 증가에 적합하였는데 파종거리를 $20{\times}20cm$로 할 경우 관행 $20{\times}30cm$ 처리에 비해 수량이 32% 증가한 13,641 kg/10a가 가능하였다. 케나프의 최대수량 확보를 위한 적정 파종시기는 5월 1일 이었는데 5월 1일 파종의 경우 생체수량 13,423 kg/10a로 5월 30일 파종 대비 30%가 증수되었고 조단백질 함량도 12.7%로 5월 30일 대비 16.5% 증가하였다. 제초제는 Fluazipof-p-butyl 사용이 가장 효율적이었는데 제초율이 97% 이었고 약해는 5% 이하로 안정적이었다. 케나프의 전북지역 적응성을 임실, 고창, 순창 등 3개 지역에서 확인한 결과 모두 안정적으로 재배가 가능함이 확인되었는데 3개 지역 평균 수량이 12,400 kg/10a로 옥수수에 비해 약 1.7 배 정도 수확하는 것이 가능하였다.
