지능형 차량을 위한 차간거리에 따른 능동 주행 제어 시스템 연구 (An Adaptive Cruise Control Systems for Intelligent Vehicles in Accordance with Vehicles Distance)

  • This thesis describes the active cruise control which is a part of AVHS(Advanced Vehicle and Highway System) in the ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems). The active cruise control is a system which recognizes some obstructions and vehicles in front, drives in safe speed and puts on the brake in dangerous situations as the driver simply turns on the switch without stepping on the accelerator and brake. PID controller is used in the speed-control by linearizing the longitudinal model of the vehicle, obstacle detecting algorithm which makes use of the laser scanner is proposed to recognize the situation in front and the system's performance is tested.

  • This paper presents a lane-change collision avoidance control algorithm for autonomous vehicles that will be used in AHS(Automated Highway System). In the proposed control algorithm, nominal control inputs are generated by solving the inverse vehicle dynamic equations of motion for a lane-change maneuver. In addition, a corrective steering input from preview as well as DYC (Direct Yaw Moment Control) may be included to reduce unpredictable errors and to insure yaw directional stability, respectively. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated with an ABS HILS system which consist of 17 DOF vehicle model and real ABS hardware parts. The HILS simulation results show that the proposed algorithm may be used for emergency lane-change maneuvers for autonomous vehicles.

충돌해석을 통한 방호울타리의 설계 (Design of a Protection Fence by Crashworthiness Analysis)

  • In this study, designs of protection fences such as the concrete median barrier and the guardrail were performed. The foreign standard of concrete median barrier was introduced and implemented without modification fitting to domestic vehicles and highway conditions. In a car accident, median barrier doesn't protect vehicles effectively, especially for heavy vehicles such as bus and heavy truck. Guardrail doesn't protect vehicle effectively, either. The purpose of this study is to develop the optimal performance design of concrete median barrier and design of guardrail using the design of experiment as well as crashworthiness analysis which is done by Pam-Crash. As a result of this study, an optimal design of concrete median barrier was obtained considering von Mises stress, volume and COG acceleration of truck. And design of guardrail satisfying the domestic requirements was obtained.

승합 및 경트럭의 탑승자 보호성능 평가 (Evaluation of Occupant Protection of Van and Light Truck Vehicle)

  • The fatalities rate for passenger vehicles, vans, and commercial vehicles is 1.23, 1.90 and 2.46 deaths per 10,000 registered vehicles, respectively. This shows that vans and commercial vehicles are vulnerable compare to passenger vehicles. To evaluate the crashworthiness of van and Light Truck Vehicle(LTV), we carried out frontal offset crash test at 64km/h, 40% overlap as per IIHS(Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). The test result show that LTV is very poor to protect occupant at frontal crash cause there is no safety system such as airbag and pretensioner and front end length(distance from front bumper to steering wheel) is short. One of the van rated as the lowest rating even it is equipped with airbag, cause its safety cage was collapsed during the test. This result shows that the structural integrity is very important in terms of occupant protection.

  • 도로는 오랜 기간 동안 꾸준한 경제성장으로 경제적인 규모가 커짐에 따라 차량의 증가 및 대형화, 차량의 성능증대, 시간가치의 상승 및 교통의 고속화 등으로 교통상황이 크게 변화되었다. 최적 노선선정모델에 관한 연구는 컴퓨터와 지형공간정보의 발달로 인하여 1980년 후반부터 일부 연구가 이루어지고 있으며, 국내에서도 수치지형모델을 이용한 최적노선에 관한 연구를 비롯하여 토공량산정, 유토곡선출력, 자동화시스템구축등 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그리고 최근에는 컴퓨터의 발달로 VGIS(Virtual Geographic Information System)를 이용한 도로주행 시뮬레이션과 가상현실에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 노선설계에서 도로대안결정시 고려되는 주변시설 및 계발계획, 교통수요 예측등에 따른 검토 의견 외에 3차원시뮬레이션기법을 통한 경관분석과 환경영향분석요소의 추가가능성에 대하여 연구하였다.

집산로가 설치된 고속도로 위빙구간 유출입부 설계기준 제시 (Determination of Weaving Section at Highway Collector-Distrivutor)

  • 고속도로 위빙구간은 진입과 진출차량에 의한 상충이 발생되는 지점으로 본선과의 영향을 최소화하기 위하여 집산로를 설치토록 하고 있다. 집산로의 설계속도는 50km/h이나 실제 운전자는 설계속도에 맞춰 적정한 감속이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 운전행태, 설계기준차량제원, 운전자의 시야각등을 고려하여 차량의 안전한 진출입을 위해 고어 노면표시 끝에서 합류지점까지 적정 이격거리를 검토하였으며 분석결과 합류가능지점에서 약 60m의 이격거리가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 본 연구결과를 집산로가 설치된 위빙구간에 적용시 진출입 차량간 상충으로 인한 운전자의 안전성 증진에 기여할 것으로 판단되며 집산로가 설치된 고속도로 위빙구간의 노면표시 설치기준으로 재정립 될 것으로 기대된다.

LightGBM 알고리즘을 활용한 고속도로 교통사고심각도 예측모델 구축 (Predicting of the Severity of Car Traffic Accidents on a Highway Using Light Gradient Boosting Model)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 교통사고 심각도 예측모델을 구축하기 위해 다섯가지 머신러닝 기반의 분류모형 적용하였다. 2015년~2017년 동안 전국 고속도로에서 발생한 사고 데이터 21,013건을 5가지의 분류 모형을 적용한 결과 LightGBM(Light Gradient Boosting Model)이 가장 좋은 성능을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. LightGBM에서는 교통사고심각도 추정에 있어 우선순위 요인으로 사고차량 수, 사고유형, 사고지점, 사고차로유형, 사고차량 유형 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 모형의 결과를 기반으로 일관적인 사고심각도 예측 과정을 통하여 교통사고대응관리 전략 수립에 활용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국내 기계학습을 활용한 사례가 적은 여건에서 향후 빅데이터 기반의 다양한 기계학습 기법을 활용이 가능함을 제시하고 있다.

우리나라 야생동물의 도로치사에 관한 연구 -중앙고속도로의 동물치사 사례를 중심으로- (A Study of Wildlife Roadkill in Joongang Highway)

  • Construction of highway would influence wildlife habitat being fragmented and deteriorated. It is inevitable to observe the death of animals that are killed by vehicles. Nonetheless the cause and status of animal roadkill have not been studied, and this study first attempted to analyze the roadkill in major highway in Korea. We collected 860 individuals of dead animals in Joongang Highway during 1996-2003. Among them Korean hare(Lepus sinensis) was totaled in 165 individuals(19.2%) with the highest figure; Korean racoon dog(Nyctereutes procyonoides) was 146(17.0%); Korean squirrel(Sciurus vulgaris) 56(6.5%); Korean roe deer(Capreolus capreolus) 26(3.0%). Domestic animals was totaled in 232 individuals(27.0%); domestic dog(Canis familiairis) 25, and domestic cat(Catus felis) 207. This study also categorized habitat as mountain-mountain, mountain-plain, mountain-river, plain-plain, plain-river, river-river in each side of the road. Habitat of mountain-plain was the heightest with 296(38.9%) individuals followed by mountain-mountain with 263(34.6%). This indicates that wild animals associated with mountain habitat was most influenced by the construction of roads. This study implied that we should mitigate the roadkill by designing artificial construction such as eco-bridge, fences along the sideway, and boxes under the highway, underdrain structure, etc. The monitoring and cause of habitat fragmentation with GIS approach should be followed to reduce the roadkill.

거시적 교통류모형을 이용한 고속도로 돌발상황에 따른 탄소배출량 산정연구 (Estimating Carbon Emissions due to Freeway Incidents by Using Macroscopic Traffic Flow Models)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to develop a methodology for estimating additional carbon emissions due to freeway incidents. METHODS : As our country grows, our highway policy has mainly neglected the environmental and social sectors. However, with the formation of a national green growth keynote and an increase in the number of people interested in environmental and social issues, problems related to social issues, such as traffic accidents and congestion, and environmental issues, such as the impact of air pollution caused by exhaust gases that are emitted from highway vehicles, are beginning to be discussed. Accordingly, studies have been conducted on a variety of environmental aspects in the field of road transport, and for the quantitative calculation of greenhouse gas emissions, using various methods. However, in order to observe the effects of carbon emissions, microscopic simulations must use many difficult variables such as cost, analysis time, and ease of analysis process. In this study, additional greenhouse gas emissions that occur because of highway traffic accidents were classified by type (incident handling time, number of lanes blocked, freeway level of service), and the annual additional emissions based on incidents were calculated. According to the results, congestion length and emissions tend to increase with an increase in incident clearance time, number of occupied lanes, and worsening level of service. Using this data, we analyzed accident data on the Gyeong-bu Expressway (Yang-Jae IC - Osan IC) for a year. RESULTS : Additional greenhouse gas emissions that occur because of highway traffic accidents were classified by type (incident handling time, number of lanes blocked, freeway level of service) and annual additional emissions caused by accidents were calculated. CONCLUSIONS : In this study, a methodology for estimating carbon emissions due to freeway incidents was developed that incorporates macroscopic flow models. The results of the study are organized in the form of a look-Up table that calculates carbon emissions rather easily.

도시고속도로 기본구간의 서비스수준별 중차량 영향 분석 (The Analysis of the Impact of Heavy Vehicles in Urban Freeway Basic Section)

  • 동일한 수의 중차량 비율이 도로 용량에 미치는 영향이 고속도로 소통상태가 원활한 서비스수준 A와 그렇지 않은 서비스수준 E의 경우에 따라 같지 않음이 지적되고 있다. 우리나라 고속도로 용량산정 방법 역시 고속도로 운영 상태를 고려하지 않으며 중(重)차량 영향을 반영하고 있다. 본 연구는 고속도로 소통 상태별 중차량 비율이 도로 용량에 미치는 수준을 기초 시험 수준에서 진단한다. 서울 동부간선도로에서 총 15일 (360시간) 자료를 수집하였으며 이를 15분단위로 가공하여 분석하였다. 중차량 비율이 용량에 미치는 영향을 각 서비스수준별로 분석한 결과, 현재의 용량산정방법은 서비스수준 B~C에서 용량이 과소 추정되고, 서비스수준 E에서는 용량이 과대 추정되는 것을 확인하였다. 연구 결과는 현재의 도로용량편람에서 제시한 방안과는 달리 고속도로 소통상태를 반영하여 중차량 보정계수가 적용되어야 함을 의미한다.
