블랙푸드 첨가에 따른 약콩 청국장 및 대두청국장의 항산화 활성 비교 (Comparison of the antioxidant activities of small-black-bean-Chungkukjang-added black food and soybean Chungkukjang extracts)

  • 본 연구는 대두청국장, 약콩청국장, 그리고 약콩청국장에 흑미, 흑임자, 다시마와 같은 블랙푸드 분말을 첨가한 약콩청국장의 열수 및 에탄올 추출물에 대한 항산화 활성을 평가함으로서 청국장과 블랙푸드의 식품학적인 가치를 평가하고자 한다. 열수 및 에탄올 추출물의 수율은 대두청국장 추출물에서 높았으며, 열수 추출물이 에탄올 추출물보다 수율이 높았다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 열수 및 에탄올 추출물에서 각각 약콩청국장, 블랙푸드 첨가 약콩청국장 추출물에서 높았다. 에탄올 추출물의 폴리페놀 함량이 열수 추출물에 비해 높았다. 블랙푸드 첨가한 약콩청국장 열수 및 에탄올 추출물의 전자공여능은 0.625~5.0 mg/mL의 농도에서는 다른 추출물에 비해 높았으나 10 mg/mL의 농도에서는 대두청국장 추출물의 전자공여능이 높았다. SOD 유사활성능은 대두청국장의 열수 및 에탄올 추출물에서 다른 추출물에 비해 높았다. pH 1.2에서의 아질산염 소거능은 pH 3.0일 때 보다 높았고, 열수 추출물에 비해 에탄올 추출물에서 아질산염 소거능이 높았다. Xanthine oxidase 저해활성은 각 추출물의 농도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 열수 및 에탄올 추출물 0.625 mg/mL의 농도에서는 블랙푸드 첨가 약콩청국장 추출물이 다른 추출물에 비해 높은 저해활성을 보였다. 대두청국장의 에탄올 추출물의 tyrosinase 저해활성은 농도가 증가함에 따라 높은 저해활성을 보였다. 환원력은 열수 및 에탄올 추출물에서 농도에 따라 증가하였고, 블랙푸드 첨가 약콩청국장과 대두청국장 추출물에서 높았다.

인삼추출액이 국균의 효소생산에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Effect of Ginseng Extract to Aspergillus Enzyme Activity)

  • 인삼액기스의 첨가량을 달리한 배지에 시간별로 국균의 첨가력($\alpha$-amylase, $\beta$-amylase, protease)에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) Asp. oryzae의 $\alpha$-amylase 활성도는 48시간 배양까지는 대조구보다 다소 높았으나 그 이후는 같은 경향을 나타내었고, Asp. oryzae의 $\beta$-amylase 활성도는 배양 24시간에서 인삼엑기스, 첨가량순으로 촉진되어 1%구까지 증가하고 3~5%구는 그 활성이 첨가량 순으로 감소되었다. Asp. oryzae의 protease 활성도에서 acid protease는 배양 72시간까지 대조구보다 활성이 높았고, 그중 3.0%구의 48시간때가 가장 역가가 높았으며 120시간 배양에서는 인삼엑기스 3.0% 이상이 효소활성의 감소가 컸다. Alkaline protease는 대조구보다 객처리구의 역가가 떨어졌다. 그러나 alkaline protease는 aeid protease보다 활성도가 높았다. 2)Asp. niger의 $\alpha$-amylase 활성도는 인삼엑기스 첨가량 순으로 높아지고 그 활성이 급증가하였다가 급감소되는 경향을 보였고, Asp. niger의 $\beta$-amylase 활성도는 인삼엑기스, 첨가량에 따라 활성이 높아졌으며 0.5~3.0% 첨가시에는 대조구 및 5.0%보다 활성이 빨고 높게 나타났으며 5.0구는 그 활성이 억제되었다. Asp. niger의 protease 활성도는 acid protease가 alkaline protease보다 효소역가가 현저하게 높았다. acid protease는 배양 48시간까지는 인삼엑기스의 첨가량에 따라 효소역가가 조해되었으나 72시간에서는 인삼엑기스 첨가량 순으로 역가가 높았고, 단 5.0%구만 현저하게 효소력이 감소되었다. Alkaline protease는 배양 24시간에서 48시간까지는 0.1%구와 0.5%구가 대조구보다 효소력이 높았고 그 이상의 인삼엑기스가 첨가된 처리구보다 효소력이 낮았다. 그러나 48시간 이후부터는 효소력은 인삼엑기스 첨가량 순으로 감소를 나타내었다.

동축 확산 부상화염의 Blow-off와 연소 특성 (Blow-off and Combustion Characteristics of a Lifted Coaxial Diffusion Flame)

  • An experiment was performed to investigate lift-off, blow-off and combustion characteristics of a lifted coaxial diffusion flame according to fuel jet and air velocity. A jet diffusion flame which is attached on the nozzle rim begins to be lifted with increase of air velocity, and finally becomes blow-off at higher air velocity. In experiment, blow-off limit increased with increase of fuel jet velocity, however lift-off occurred at lower air velocity. Flame structure and combustion characteristics were examined by schlieren photos, temperature distributions and emission concentration distributions. Flame temperature became higher at midstream and its RMS became larger at up and downstream with increase of air velocity. Local NO concentration decreased but $CO_2$concentration increased with increase of air velocity, which shows combustion reaction becomes close to be stoichiometric at higher air velocity in spite of lift-off.

응집제종류 및 용존산소농도에 따른 조류의 Autoflotation효과 (Effects of dissolved oxygen and coagulants on algal autoflotation)

  • To develop the removal technique of algal bloom the efficiencies of algal flocculation/ autoflotation by the kinds of coagulant and oversaturated oxygen concentration were investigated. The summarized results are as follow. 1. In the algae flocculation test with alum[$Al_2(SO_4)_3{\cdot}18H_2O$], optimum pH was 5.5 and, with chitosan optimum pH was 7.0. 2. Chitosan which was natural polymer showed the 5~10 times higher algal biomass flocculation efficiency than alum in the condition of same algal concentration. 3. For the each coagulant, the higher ${\Delta}DO$(oversaturated dissolved oxygen concentration - saturated dissolved oxygen) was, the faster the rising velocity of the algal floc was. 4. In the condition of about 4mg/L ${\Delta}DO$, the rising velocity of chitosan is about 2 times higher than that of alum, and chitosan formed the stronger algal floc.

열유도 상분리에 의한 선형 저밀도 폴리에틸렌 입자 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation of a Linear Low Density Polyethylene particles by Thermally Induced Phase Separation)

  • We are crystallized to the linear low density polyethylene(LLDPE) particles by a thermally induced phase separation(TIPS). TIPS process based on the phase separation mechanism was performed for the LLDPE system which undergoes liquid-solid phase separation. The linear low density polyethylene particle formation occurred by the nucleation and growth mechanism in the metastable region. Although the growth rates depended on the experimental conditions such as the polymer concentration and temperature, the particles were larger when the polymer concentration was higher or temperature was higher. The particles were observed by SEM. The LLDPE particle size distribution became broader when the polymer concentration was higher.

Effect of Season on Semen Characteristics, Frozen-Thawed Sperm Viability and Testosterone Concentration in Yorkshire Boars

  • The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of season on semen characteristics, frozen-thawed sperm viability and testosterone concentration in Yorkshire boars. There were no significant differences in the semen volume and sperm concentration on Yorkshire boars among spring, summer, autumn and winter. However, the pH of sperm-rich and sperm-poor fractions in winter season was higher than in spring, summer and autumn season in Yorkshlre boars. Sperm motiliy and normal acrosome of raw semen in Yorkshire boars did not differ significantly among spring, summer, autumn and winter. However, motility and normal acrosome of frozen-thawed sperm were higher in spring season than in summer, autumn and winter. Serum testosterone concentrations in Yorkshire were higher in spring than summer, autumn and winter. In conclusion, we found out that serum testosterone concentrations were very important role for frozen-thawed sperm viability in Yorkshire boars.

1H-NMR 분광분석을 통한 진한 산 가수분해 반응 2차 반응 조건 분석 (Analysis of secondary reactions in concentrated sulfuric acid hydrolysis of hollocellulose by 1H-NMR spectroscopy)

  • Kinetics of holocellulose hydrolysis in concentrated sulfuric acid was analyzed using $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy with different reaction time, temperature and acid concentration in secondary hydrolysis. In this work, reaction condition of secondary hydrolysis was similar to concentrated sulfuric acid process with electrodialysis or simulated moving bed chromatography process for sulfuric acid recycling. By $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy, acid hydrolyzates from higher secondary acid hydrolysis (25-35% acid concentration) was successfully analyzed without any difficulties in neutralization or adsorption of acid hydrolyzate to solid salt. Higher acid concentration, higher temperature and longer reaction time led to more cellulose for glucose conversion but accompanied with glucose to galactose isomerization, glucose to unknown compounds and degradation of glucose to organic acid via furans.

적록사슴에서 뿔 및 경정맥 혈액의 성분비교 (Comparison of Blood Components of the Antler and Jugular Vein in the Red Deer)

  • The blood components of not-young (young antler) were examined in the Red Deer. Blood samples were collected from the antler and jugular veins respectively. The hematological and serum chemical values were as follows; 1. RBC count of not-hyul (young antler blood) was significantly higher than that of jugular vein blood (p<0.05). However, fibrinogen concentration of rook hyul was significantly lower than that of jugular vein blood (p<0.01). WBC counts packed cell volume (PCV) and total protein fro) were not significant between nolo-hyul and jugular vein blood. 2. The concentration of phosphorous and magnesium of not-hyul were significantly higher than those of jugular vein blood (p<0.05). Albumin and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) of nolo-hyul were higher than those of jugular vein blood. But globulin and calcium concentration of not-hyul were lower than those of jugular vein blood. Blood urea nitrogen BUN) of rook-hyul was not significant when compared with that of jugular vein blood.

혐기성 생물막 반응기의 초기 운전특성 (Characteristics of continuous operation of the anaerobic biofilm reactor)

  • The lab-scale anaerobic continuous reactor which was filled with the sludge of anaerobic digestion from Suyoung wastewater treatment plant was operated by feeding of various concentrations and flow rates. This experiment indicated that more than 6,870 mgCOD/L of substrate concentration was required to promote good metabolism and growth of anaerobic biomass. And increasing loading rate slowly was also required in order to treat substrate of higher concentration and higher loading rate. The substrate concentration of about 10,000 mgCOD/L was adequate to generate biogas efficiently. The pH was sharply decreased at the onset of higher leading rate, but the pH was restabilized soon at 8. During the experiment, the amount of the attached biomass was kept constant.

일부 청소년들에서 흡연노출량에 따른 혈중 카드뮴 농도 (Blood Cadmium Concentration According to Exposure of Smoking in Adolescence)

  • Objectives: We surveyed the prevalence of smoking among the adolescent population and analysed the correlation of the two exposure biomarkers-concentration of blood cadmium and urinary cotinine-to the smoking status. Methods: Subjects were 193 middle and high school students in Chungnam province. Blood cadmium and urinary cotinine were compared by sex and smoking status. Smoking status were classified by either the concentration of urinary cotinine or subjective answering as a smoker in the questionnaire. Results: Smoking prevalence was 24.6%, 36.2% and 6.7% among all subjects, male and female subjects, respectively. Average smoking amount was 17.5 and 1.5 cigarettes per month among the male subjects and female subjects, respectively. Mean concentration of urinary cotinine among the male subjects was $135.57{\mu}g/{\ell}$, and that of female subjects was $116.59{\mu}g/$. Direct smokers showed higher concentration of urinary cotinine than those of indirect smokers, and subjects with higher urinary concentration showed higher prevalence of smoking, too. Mean concentration of blood cadmium was $0.0572{\mu}g/d{\ell}$ among the male subjects, and $0.0693{\mu}g/d{\ell}$ among the female subjects. Among the male subjects, both exposure biomarkers showed significant correlation to the smoking status, but among the female subjects urinary cotinine did not show significant correlation to the smoking status. Conclusion: Concentrations of these two biomarkers suggested that this population had significantly high evironmental tobacco smoking(ETS) and efficient stop-smoking programs to reduce ETS should be directed to this population.
