위너 필터와 충격 펄스 카운팅을 이용한 저속 기계용 구름 베어링의 결함 검출 (Fault Detection of Rolling Element Bearing for Low Speed Machine Using Wiener Filter and Shock Pulse Counting)

  • The low speed machinery faults are usually caused by the bearing failure of the rolling elements. As the life time of the bearing is limited, the condition monitoring of bearing is very important to maintain the continuous operation without failures. A few monitoring techniques using time domain, frequency domain and fuzzy neural network vibration analysis are introduced to detect and diagnose the faults of the low speed machinery. This paper presents a method of fault detection for the rolling element bearing in the low speed machinery using the Wiener filtering and shock pulse counting techniques. Wiener filter is used for noise cancellation and it clearly makes the shock pulse emerge from the time signal with the high level of noise. The shock pulse counting is used to determine the various faults obviously from the shock signal with transient pulses not related with the bearing fault. Machine fault simulator is used for the experimental measurement in order to verify this technique is the powerful tool for the low speed machine compared with the frequency analysis. The test results show that the method proposed is very effective parameter even for the signal with high contaminated noise, speed variation and very low energy. The presented method shows the optimal tool for the condition monitoring purpose to detect the various bearing fault with high accuracy.

Analysis of the Influence of the Address Electrode Width on High-speed Addressing Using the Vt Close Curve and Dynamic Vdata Margin

  • In order to drive the high-density plasma displays, a high-speed driving technology must be researched. In this experiment, the relationship between the width of the address electrode and high-speed driving is analyzed using the Vt close curve and the panel structure for high-speed driving is proposed. In addition we show that the wider the width of the address electrode is, the narrower the width of the scan pulse becomes. Therefore, we could achieve the minimum data voltage of 50.1V at a scan pulse width of $1.0/{\mu}s$ and a ramp voltage of 210V at an address electrode width of $180/{\mu}m$ for the high-speed driving 4-inch test PDP.

  • The phenomenological loss equivalence method incorporated into the wideband lossy transmission line model is applied to the characterization of high desity digital transmission lines. The pulse propagation characteristics are analyzed using the calculated frequency characteristics and the discrete Fourier transformation. This approach has been verified by comparing the calculated frequency characteristics with the FEM and the esperimental results. This method is very suitable for computer-aided analysis of high density/high speed interconnection circuits because of the simple calculation as well as the calculation accuracy. We have found that pulse ftransmission speed and dispersion of hgih density digital transmission lines can be optimized by managing the conductor and dielectric losses in addition to the impedance matching.

  • In this paper, The Next Generation High Speed Railway inverter system using Hybrid Random Pulse Width Modulation (Hybrid RPWM) is proposed to reduce electromagnetic noise. To verify the validity of study, simulation results of the Next Generation High Speed Railway Inverter system using the proposed method was compared with the system using conventional method. A simulation program is developed using Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the voltage and current harmonics of the Next Generation High Speed Railway Inverter system using Hybrid RPWM significantly decrease and spread into wide band area.

  • Supersonic and hypersonic aircrafts must pass wide range of speed to reach high speed region. But for existing engines the most efficient operating speed ranges are decided according to their flying speed, so an engine which mixes several engines like TRJ (Turbo Ramjet) and ARJ (Air Turbo Ramjet) has been planed. This mixed type engine has inefficiency that more than two engines must be installed simultaneously, but the pulse detonation engine (PDE) that uses detonation wave has a strong point that it can operate in all speed range with single engine. This paper deals with the simulation of the pulse detonation engine which uses hydrogen peroxide $(H_2O_2)$ mono propellant. Hydrogen peroxide is low-cost propellant, and it is reacted without oxidizer. Comparison between $H_2-O_2$ mixture with $H_2O_2$ mono propellant about thrust, pressure, temperature and velocity shows that $H_2O_2$ is a very useful propellant.

  • In this paper, traction system for urban transit maglev system is proposed. Using vector control strategy to control magnitude and frequency of output voltage transiently is general. But in case of traction system for railway vehicle, it is impossible that adapt vector control because there is one-pulse mode in a high speed region. So this paper proposes the control strategy using vector control in a low speed region and slip frequency control in a high speed region. And also proposes overmodulation method that makes to change in one-pulse mode softly. The performance of traction system will be verified by simulation results using ACSL.

  • Pulse plating is about to deposit material at high current density compared to conventional DC plating. For example pulse plating can get more fine grain can improve adhension and metal distribution and current efficiency can reduce internal stress and crack. therefore we studied pulsed power supply which has high current density and improve deposition quality and increase plating speed in this paper.

맥의 빠르기, 크기, 깊이에 관한 전통맥진과 기기측정 맥진의 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Speed, Size and Depth of Pulse on the Traditional Pulse Diagnosis and Pulse Analyzer)

  • Objectives : The pulse diagnosis is an important method in Oriental Medicine. The aim of this study is to measure the similarity of the diagnosis by a traditional method using doctor's hand for feeling of pulse and by pulse diagnosis apparatus using Hwang-Je (HJ) pulse analyser, Hui-Su (HS) pulse analyser on Chon, Kwan and Chuk. Methods : Four korean medical doctors and HJ pulse analyser, HS pulse analyser have measured the speed (遲數), the size (微細弱緩大), and the depth (浮沈) of pulse waves of 23 volunteers. First, four korean medical doctors measured pulse waves of volunteers. And then, the pulse waves of volunteers were measured by HJ pulse analyser, HS pulse analyser. This was performed on the right Chon, Kwan and Chuk. Results : The traditional method and the HJ pulse analyser method had the 60.9% matches on the values of the pulse speed condition, the HS pulse analyser method had the 78.3% matches on the values of the pulse speed condition. The traditional method and the HJ pulse analyser method had the 56.5% (Chon), 65.2% (Kwan), 78.3% (Chuk) matches on the values of the pulse size condition, the HS pulse analyser method had the 65.2% (Chon), 13.0% (Kwan), 39.1% (Chuk) matches on the values of the pulse size condition. The traditional method and the HJ pulse analyser method had the 43.5% (Chon), 26.1% (Kwan), 47.8% (Chuk) matches on the values of the pulse depth condition, the HS pulse analyser method had the 45.5% (Chon), 30.4% (Kwan), 36.8% (Chuk) matches on the values of the pulse depth condition. Conclusions : According to these results, we suggest that the pulse analyser is necessary to develope for its high similarities with the traditional pulse diagnosis.

자외선 피코초 레이저를 이용한 Low-k 웨이퍼 인그레이빙 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Low-k Wafer Engraving Processes by Using Laser with Pico-second Pulse Width)

  • Low-k wafer engraving process has been investigated by using UV pico-second laser with high repetition rate. Wavelength and repetition rate of laser used in this study are 355 nm and 80 MHz, respectively. Main parameters of low-k wafer engraving processes are laser power, work speed, assist gas flow, and protective coating to eliminate debris. Results show that engraving qualities of low-k layer by using a laser with UV pico-second pulse width and high repetition rate had better kerf edge and higher work speed, compared to one by conventional laser with nano-second pulse width and low repletion rate in the range of kHz. Assist gas and protective coating to eliminate debris gave effects on the quality of engraving edge. Total engraving width and depth are obtained less than $20\;{\mu}m$ and $10\;{\mu}m$ at more than 500 mm/sec work speed, respectively. We believe that engraving method by using UV pico-second laser with high repetition rate is useful one to give high work speed in laser material process.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a precise pulse motor control chip that generates the parabolic speed pattern. This chip can control step motor[1], DC servo[2] and AC servo motors at high speed and precisely. It can reduce the mechanical vibration to the minimum at the change point of a degree of acceleration. Because the parabolic speed pattern has the continuous acceleration change. In this paper, we present the pulse generation algorithm and the parabolic pattern speed generation. We verify these algorithm using visual C++. We designed this chip with VHDL(Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) and executed a logic simulation and synthesis using Synopsys synthesis tool. We executed the pre-layout simulation and post-layout simulation with Verilog-XL simulation tool. This chip was produced with 100 pins, PQFP package by 0.35 um CMOS process and implemented by completely digital logic. We developed the hardware test board and test program using visual C++. We verify the performance of this chip by driving the servo motor and the function by GUI(Graphic User Interface) environment.
