Design of Adaptive FNN Controller for Speed Contort of IPMSM Drive (IPMSM 드라이브의 속도제어를 위한 적응 FNN제어기의 설계)

  • This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy-neural network(FNN) controller for the speed control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) drive. The design of this algorithm based on FNN controller that is implemented by using fuzzy control and neural network. This controller uses fuzzy rule as training patterns of a neural network. Also, this controller uses the back-propagation method to adjust the weights among the neurons of neural network in order to minimize the error between the command output and actual output. A model reference adaptive scheme is proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed by fuzzy logic based on the error and change of error measured between the motor speed and output of a reference model. The control performance of the adaptive FNN controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. The results of analysis prove that the proposed control system has strongly high performance and robustness in parameter variation, steady-state accuracy and transient response.

  • Based on the technical innovation of the recent communication system technologies, systems are linked by the worldwide network. We introduce some examples of the multimedia network systems. Especially, we introduce our recent attempt to realize the multimedia tele-surgery system using high speed optical fiber network. At first, we shows the technical problems of the multimedia tele-surgery. We applied this idea to the intravascular neurosurgery. System configuration for the prototype experiments and experimental results are shown.

KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) is building up a high-speed communication network to accept Smart Grid Infra expansion and various terminal communication media characteristic. Recently, MSPP(Multi Service Provisioning Platform) System is establishted to network service. But there are many considerations for optimal design of network service for the Electric Power Automation IT Infra.

  • In this paper, a dynamic route control scheme to increase speed of data communication over public network is presented. And a new structure of gateway which is suitable for the public network environments is proposed and analyzed. For dynamic allocation of transmission routing resources of the gateway and improvement of call processing ratio of the system, virtual queue is used. As results, route utilization ratio of the proposed scheme can be improved up to 60% as compared to the conventional fixed route control scheme. For the case of limited number of routes, it provides high speed data communication while maintaining delay time as low as possible. In addition, as the allocation period at call access node can be varied with the traffic in the proposed scheme, various traffics can be applied easily. Thus, it can be expected that the presented dynamic route control gateway may be suitable for application in high speed data communication over public network.

  • Nowadays, the issue of congestion control in high-speed communication networks becomes critical in view of the bandwidth-delay products for efficient data flow. In particular, the fact that the congestion is often accompanied by the data flow from the high-speed link to low-speed link is important with respect to the stability of closed-loop congestion control. The Virtual-Connection Network (VCN) in Gigabit Ethernet networks is a packet-switching based network capable of implementing cell- based connection, link-by-link flow-controlled connection, and single- or multi-destination virtual connections. VCN described herein differ from the virtual channel in ATM literature in that VCN have link-by-link flow control and can be of multi-destination. VCNs support both connection-oriented and connectionless data link layer traffic. Therefore, the worst collision scenario in Ethernet CSMA/CD with virtual collision brings about end-to-end delay. Gigabit Ethernet networks based on CSMA/CD results in non-deterministic behavior because its media access rules are based on random probability. Hence, it is difficult to obtain any sound mathematical formulation for congestion control without employing random processes or fluid-flow models. In this paper, an analytical method for the design of a congestion control scheme is proposed based on Smith's principle to overcome instability accompanied with the increase of end-to-end delays as well as to avoid cell losses. To this end, mathematical analysis is provided such that the proposed control scheme guarantees the performance improvement with respect to bandwidth and latency for selected network links with different propagation delays. In addition, guaranteed bandwidth is to be implemented by allowing individual stations to burst several frames at a time without intervening round-trip idle time.

  • In this paper, we developed new time information recording module of VSI (VLBI Standard Interface) format by analyzing the Mark5B recorder control and operation software with 1Gbps speed, which is able to record the weak signal of space radio source, through the Korean VLBI Network (KVN). The control and operation software of high-speed recorder consists of 2 kinds of software, which is that it can operate RAID control board by controlling large capacity HDD drive and the network control and operation. Especially, core software in high-speed recorder is able to output the results after performing and analyzing the input command. Through the analysis of control and operation software, new time information recording module, which is needed to process the observed data for correlation, is developed. New developed time information recording module can record the time information together after checking the interrupt of 1PPS(Pulse Per Second) input signal when the observed data will be recorded. To verify the normal operation of the developed time information recording module, we performed the real observation test and confirmed the effectiveness of developed software through analyzing the recorded observation data.

High-Precision Contour Control by Gaussian Neural Network Controller for Industrial Articulated Robot Arm with Uncertainties

  • Uncertainties are the main reasons of deterioration of contour control of industrial articulated robot arm. In this paper, a high-precision contour control method was proposed to overcome some main uncertainties, such as torque saturation, system delay dynamics, interference between robot links, friction, and so on. Firstly, each considered factor of uncertainties was introduced briefly. Then proper realizable objective trajectory generation was presented to avoid torque saturation from objective trajectory. According to the model of industrial articulated robot arm, construction of Gaussian neural network controller with considering system delay dynamic, interference between robot links and friction was explained in detail. Finally, through the experiment and simulation, the effectiveness of proposed method was verified. Furthermore, based on the results it was shown that the Gaussian neural network controller can be also adapted for the various kinds of friction and high-speed motion of industrial articulated robot arm.
