This study was carried out to investigate the effects of pressing time and spreading amount, moisture content, gap-distance with butt to butt joint and adhesives on bonding strength in manufacturing the laminated wood with Pitch pine (Pinus rigida). The results obtained were as follows: 1) The pressing time of 12 hours, 10 kilogram per square centimeter of pressure and 200 gram per square meter of spreading amount were required to reach over 50 kilogram per square centimeter (block shear strength) in manufacturing the laminated wood by aqueous vinyl urethane adhesive. 2) The bonding strength decreased with the increase of moisture content of wood. The block shear strength, however, showed over 100 kilogram per square centimeter when the strength test was carried out after air-drying the laminated wood in high moisture content (30-70%). 3) Regardless of direction of load, every flexural property decreased with the increase of gap-distance with butt to butt joint. However, little of every flexural property was changed at 0.5 millimeter of joint-gap distance. The flexural property of vertically laminated wood (perpendicular to glue line to load direction: 1) showed more than that of horizontally laminated wood (parallel to glue line to load direction: //). 4) Among five adhesives used at this experiment, the bonding strength of aqueous vinyl urethane adhesive was the highest in dry bond and wet tests.
Purpose: With a view to providing basic data to develop cardiopulmonary resuscitation education suitable for elementary students, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation education was conducted to grasp students' knowledge, skills accuracy and the attitude change before and after the education. Methods: Convenience sampling was made on fourth and fifth graders(total-35 students) of S elementary school located in K city, Chungcheongnam-do, and this was a pre-experiment research designed before and after choosing a single group. In terms of methods, specifically we, researchers ; 1) Handed out questionnaires to students directly to make them fill in firsthand and collected the questionnaires. 2) Utilized PPT materials based on 2005 AHA guideline and DVD materials of AHA, to give students theoretical education of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. We used Anne/SkillReporter$^{(R)}$ torso produced by Leardal Inc, and Little Anne to conduct practical education individually. 3) Asked students to give Anne/SkillReporter$^{(R)}$ torso cardiopulmonary resuscitation five times with the ratio of 30 : 2, and then one of researchers filled in the evaluation sheet individually. 4) Evaluated the accuracy of students' ability to perform the resuscitation based on the record of Anne/SkillReporter$^{(R)}$ integrated printer(which was the objective tool to grasp students' skills accuracy). 5) Gave out questionnaires to make students fill them in and then collected them. after completing the practical evaluation. Results: 1) In case of the attitude about cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Students' confidency rose from 19.28%(before the education) to 93.57(after the education)- which is a positive change. 2) As the result of the education, some elementary students scored 11 points (full score-16 points), up from 5 points before the education, in terms of the knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The average point also reached 13.14 points(after the education), jump from 8.37(before the education), which was the rise of 29.8%. 3) When it comes to the practical performance, the skills accuracy was 80.93% on average, and the calculation method was as follows: total items were 16, and each item was marked form 0 to 2 points, meaning the full score was 32 points. The minimum score was 19 points and the maximum was 32($M{\pm}SD=25.90{\pm}2.88$), which was calculated based on percentage. 4) Regarding skills accuracy, respiration accuracy(%)($M{\pm}SD=30.20{\pm}27.16$) was higher than pressure accuracy(%) ($M{\pm}SD=15.34{\pm}25.27$). Conclusion: The result showed that students' attitude on cardiopulmonary resuscitation changed positively. and meaningful difference(p = .00) existed in the change of students' knowledge. In terms of skills accuracy. chest compression and airway control showed high accuracy, but the result of Anne/SkillReporter$^{(R)}$ performance showed that the accuracy of chest compression was lower than that of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

In order to investigate devolatilization characteristics for ashless coal with relatively low ash content and high heating value, an experiment was performed in different bed configurations of TGA and DTF(Drop Tube Furnace) at atmospheric pressure condition. The heating rate was $10^{\circ}C$/min up to $950^{\circ}C$ in TGA, while the temperatures of DTF varied from 500 to $1300^{\circ}C$ in step of $200^{\circ}C$. A weight loss and particle temperature were obtained to determine devolatilization kinetics. The kinetic parameters including an activation energy and pre-exponential factor for ashless coal were obtained using Coats-Redfern method in TGA and single step method in DTF. Furthermore, the devolatilization kinetics of the ashless coal were compared with the results of different kinds of conventional coal such as sub-bituminous and bituminous. The results show that the activation energy of devolatilazation for ashless coal is lower than those of others in fixed and entrained conditions.
The accumulator is a passive safety injection device for emergency core cooling systems. As an important safety feature for providing a high-speed injection flow to the core by compressed nitrogen gas pressure during a loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA), the accumulator injects its precharged nitrogen into the system after its coolant has been emptied. Attention has been drawn to the possible negative effects caused by such a nitrogen injection in passive safety nuclear power plants. Although some experimental work on the nitrogen injection has been done, there have been no comparative tests in which the effects on the system responses and the core safety have been clearly assessed. In this study, a new thermal hydraulic integral test facility-the advanced core-cooling mechanism experiment (ACME)-was designed and constructed to support the CAP1400 safety review. The ACME test facility was used to study the nitrogen injection effects on the system responses to the small break loss-of-coolant accident LOCA (SBLOCA) transient. Two comparison test groups-a 2-inch cold leg break and a double-ended direct-vessel-injection (DEDVI) line break-were conducted. Each group consists of a nitrogen injection test and a nitrogen isolation comparison test with the same break conditions. To assess the nitrogen injection effects, the experimental data that are representative of the system responses and the core safety were compared and analyzed. The results of the comparison show that the effects of nitrogen injection on system responses and core safety are significantly different between the 2-inch and DEDVI breaks. The mechanisms of the different effects on the transient were also investigated. The amount of nitrogen injected, along with its heat absorption, was likewise evaluated in order to assess its effect on the system depressurization process. The results of the comparison and analyses in this study are important for recognizing and understanding the potential negative effects on the passive core cooling performance caused by nitrogen injection during the SBLOCA transient.
There was some difficulty dewatering properties due to small porosity diameter of cake, when pigment sludge contained fine particle was formed by cake under the dewatering. It was difficult to dewater the sludge with fine particles with the conventional mechanical dewatering method. This study was to improve the dewatering rate as discharging the water from porosity of cake easily, supplying the low heat to the cake layer. Thermal dewatering equipment of piston type to keep up constant temperature on the cake was set up and relative experiment was conducted for sludge of 200 g with fine pigment particle. As test results. filtration of 176.8 g, cake weight of 19.4 g, cake thickness of 4.2 mm was measured, and it was analyzed that the water content of cake was 47 wt% and dewatering velocity, which moaned the residual d교 sloid amount per dewatering area, was $2.1DS\;m^{2}{\cdot}cycle$. This results showed that filtration increased, cake weight and thickness decreased and dewatering velocity increased against mechanical dewatering method. And water content of cake decreased about 30%, so the result which dewatering rate improved was drew generally. The reason is that the inner vapor pressure working at the cake porosity increased as applying the low heat to the cake layer, which lead to discharge the water from porosity easily. Therefore, this study was estimated by the useful technology for sludge reduction.
In this study, selective laser sintered 3D printing mold core and metal core were used to investigate the difference of the thickness shrinkage from the gate of the injection molded part at a constant interval. SLS 3D printing mold core was made of nylon-based PA2200 powder and the metal core was manufactured by conventional machining method. As the PA2200 powder material has low strength, thermal conductivity and high specific heat characteristics compared with metal, molding conditions were set with the consideration of molten temperature and injection pressure. Crystalline resin(PP) and amorphous resin(PS) with low melting temperature and viscosity were selected for the injection molding experiment. Cooling time for processing condition was selected by checking the temperature change of the cores with a cavity temperature sensor. The cooling time of the 3D printing core was required a longer time than that of the metal core. The thickness shrinkage of the molded part compared to the core depth was measured from the gate by a constant interval. It was shown that the thickness shrinkage of the 3D printing core was 2.02 ~ 4.34% larger than that of metal core. In additions, in the case of metal core, thickness shrinkage was increased with distance from the gate, on the contrary, in the case of polymer core showed reversed aspect.

Nano bubble water is used in various washing processes, including cleaning of solar panels, salt rejection of roads, and cleaning precision parts of machines. High cleaning efficiency and water conservation are obtained by applying nano bubbles during pretreatment of the marine waste cleaning system. This study compared the salt rejection of nano bubble water, and it was revealed that marine waste was produced by wood immersed in 200,000 mg/L NaCl solution. Using tap water and nano bubble water for washing, comparisons of the surface salt concentrations of wood were determined according to the nozzle, orifice diameter, pump speed and washing time. Decreased surface salt concentration was observed on the wood surface with increasing washing time. Water consumption was optimal between 5- and 10-seconds washing time. Increasing orifice diameter of the nozzle reduced the spraying pressure, with consequent increase in the wood surface salt concentration, thereby establishing the importance of orifice diameter of the nozzle. Compared to levels obtained with tap water, salt concentration of the wood surface after washing with nano bubble water was 2.2% lower with sector nozzle, and 30.9% lower with circular nozzle. In the washing experiment using nano bubble water, the salt concentration on the wood surface was about 9.5 mg/L lower when washed with sector nozzle than the circular nozzle.

In this study, each component of flow noise source of underwater propeller installed to the scale model of the KVLCC2 is investigated and the effect of each noise source on underwater-radiated noise is quantitatively analyzed. The computation domain is set to be the same as the test section of the large cavitation tunnel in the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering. First, for the high-resolution computation of flow field which is noise source region, the incompressible multiphase Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation is performed. Based on flow simulation results, the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings integral equation is used to predict underwater-radiated noise and its validity is confirmed through the comparison with the tunnel experiment result. For the quantitative comparison on the contribution of each noise source, the spectral levels of sound pressure and power levels predicted using propeller tip-vortex cavitation, blade surface and rudder surface as the integral region of noise sources are investigated. It is confirmed that the cavitation which is monopole noise source significantly contributed to the underwater-radiated noise than propeller blades and rudder which is dipole noise source, and the rudder have more contribution than propeller blades due to the influence of the propeller wake.

The plasma process, which has many advantages in terms of efficiency and environment compared to conventional process methods, is widely used in semiconductor manufacturing. Plasma Sheath is a dark region observed between the plasma bulk and the chamber wall surrounding it or the electrode. The Plasma Sheath Monitoring Sensor (PSMS) measures the difference in voltage between the plasma and the electrode and the RF power applied to the electrode in real time. The PSMS data, therefore, are expected to have a high correlation with the state of plasma in the plasma chamber. In this study, a model for predicting the state of nitrogen ions in the plasma chamber is training by a deep learning machine learning techniques using PSMS data. For the data used in the study, PSMS data measured in an experiment with different power and pressure settings were used as training data, and the ratio, flux, and density of nitrogen ions measured in plasma bulk and Si substrate were used as labels. The results of this study are expected to be the basis of artificial intelligence technology for the optimization of plasma processes and real-time precise control in the future.

To understand the role of protozoa in the early formation of microbial fouling community, the studies on the formation of microbial film, the succession of microbial fouling communities, and the grazing pressure on bacteria population in microbial film were carried out in the laboratory, Inchon outer port and Inchon inner harbour. Bacteria and heterotrophic flagellates formed primary microbial film on the aluminum surface within 6 hours and oligotrich ciliates were observed 2 cells $mm^{-2}$ on the same surface at 9 hours in Inchon inner harbour which had physically stagnant condition. The larvaes of Balanus albicostatus which were dominant meiobenthos in Inchon coastal area attached on the glass surface at the first day of experiment. Heterotrophic flagellates showed maximum abundance of 465 cells $mm^{-2}$ at the 13rd day and ciliates showed maximum abundance of 63 cells $mm^{-2}$ at the 11st day in the Inchon inner harbour. In the Inchon outer port which opens to the outer sea, the maximum abundance of protozoa occurred at early phase, but not so many. The dominant heterotrophic flagellates were Metrornonas simplex and Bodonids. Dominant ciliates were small tintinnids and oligotrich ciliate Strombidium sp., Large Strombidium (oligotrich ciliate) and sessile Acineta turberosa (suctorian ciliate) occurred after 10 days. The attached larvae of Balanus occurred as biofouling organism on the early surface and showed maximum abundance of 18 indiv. $cm^{-2}$ at 7th day. At that time, adult barnacles were observed on the surface and dead barnacles were observed after two days. Except barnacles, the larvaes of Anthozoa sp., Oysters (Crassostrea gigas) and Polychaeta were observed on the surface from 3rd day. 3 benthic copepods including Harpacticus sp., I isopod, 1 polychaeta and 1 gastropoda were observed as predators of the microbial film on the surface after 7 days when microbial film developed very well. Although the ingestion rates of protozoa on the bactctia of the rnicrobi31 film were relatively low, the average grazing rate of protozoa on bacteria was high of 0.058 $h^{-1}$. This implied that the grazing pressure of protozoa influences the mortality of bacteria populations on the microbial film. but protozoa cannot get enough energy from only bacteria on the microbial film.
