무단횡단사고를 고려한 노인 보행 교통사고 취약 지역 선정 연구 (Research on Selection of Vulnerable Areas to Walking Traffic Accidents for the Elderly Considering Jaywalking Accidents)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 보행사고 감소를 위해 도입되고 있는 교통안전시스템의 적용 지역에 대하여 우선 순위를 선정하기 위한 분석 방법을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 사고지점의 좌표 정보를 이용한 Kernel density Analysis를 통해 노인보행사고 및 노인무단횡단추정사고에 대한 밀도 분석과 두 가지 보행사고 형태에 대한 가중치 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 노인무단횡단추정사고를 고려한 가중치 밀도 분석 결과, 노인보행사고 발생건수가 많은 전주시에 비해 군산시, 정읍시, 김제시에서 노인 보행 교통사고 밀도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 결론: 본 연구의 분석 결과는 교통안전시스템 도입을 위한 대상지 선정시 지표 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • High-rise and high-density apartment complexes have been built and supplied on a large scale in the 1st period New Town of metropolitan areas since the late 1980s. Recently it has become necessary to improve those apartment complexes which have blight problems for aging more than about 20 years accompanying simultaneity and a large scale. The purpose of this study is to analyze actual conditions of high-rise and high-density apartments in a view of sustainable regeneration. The contents and methods of this study are as follows. First, the concept of high-rise and high-density in domestic apartment developments were identified through review of literature and the law. Second, development conditions of Bundang new town and 1st period new town were studied. Third, the evelopment conditions of high-rise and high-density apartments in cases of 6 apartment complexes were analyzed from points of view of sustainable development by literature review and a field study. The results of this study are as follows. First, high-density range in domestic apartments can be conceptualized as 600 persons/ha. High-rise range in domestic apartments can be onceptualized as more than 11 stories under 30 stories. Second, characteristics and subjects based on actual conditions analysis could suggest on physio-environmental aspect and socio-economic aspect. Major characteristics and subjects of the physio-environmental aspect were 1.satisfaction of convenient facilities and public transportation service, 2.shortage of parking space, 3.uniform & blight of community facilities, 4.uniformed building layout, and 5.uniform pattern of unit plan and low flexibility by the bearing wall structure. And those of the socio-economical aspect were 1.satisfaction of current community, 2.increase and diversity of needs of the elderly by socio-demography change, 3.improvement of size and method of apartment complex development and 4.raising of economic-sufficiency.

Relationship Between Blood Mercury Concentration and Waist-to-Hip Ratio in Elderly Korean Individuals Living in Coastal Areas

  • Objectives: This study investigated the relationship between the blood mercury concentration and cardiovascular risk factors in elderly Korean individuals living in coastal areas. Methods: The sample consisted of 477 adults (164 males, 313 females) aged 40 to 65 years who visited a Busan health promotion center from June to September in 2009. The relationship between blood mercury concentration and cardiovascular risk factors including metabolic syndrome, cholesterol profiles, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), was investigated. Variables related to blood mercury concentration were further evaluated using multiple regression analysis. Results: The blood mercury concentration of the study population was 7.99 (range, 7.60 to 8.40) ${\mu}g$/L. In males, the blood mercury concentration was 9.74 (8.92 to 10.63) ${\mu}g$/L, which was significantly higher than that in females (7.21, [6.80 to 7.64] ${\mu}g$/L). The blood mercury concentration of the study population was related to several cardiovascular risk factors including low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (p=0.044), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (p=0.034), BMI (p = 0.006), waist circumference (p = 0.031), and WHR (p < 0.001). In males, the blood mercury concentration was significantly correlated with WHR in the multiple regression analysis. Conclusions: In males, the blood mercury concentration was related to waist-to-hip ratio, which is a central obesity index and cardiovascular risk factor. Our finding suggests that cardiovascular disease risk in males was increased by mercury exposure via an obesity-related mechanism.

Regional differences in protein intake and protein sources of Korean older adults and their association with metabolic syndrome using the 2016-2019 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys: a cross-sectional study

  • Objectives: The study aim was to analyze the regional differences in dietary protein intake and protein sources of Korean older adults and their association with metabolic syndrome. Methods: Study participants were 1,721 older adults aged 65 and over who participated in 2016-2019 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Using 24-hour recall dietary intake data, protein intake and their food sources were examined. The association between protein intake and metabolic syndrome, obesity, and abdominal obesity were analyzed by multiple logistic regression. Results: Total protein and animal protein intakes were higher in urban area (60.0 g, 24.4 g, respectively) than in rural area (54.6 g, 19.6 g, respectively). With increase of protein intake level, animal to total protein proportion was increased in both areas. Total protein and plant protein intake was negatively associated with the risk of obesity, abdominal obesity in both areas. Animal protein intake was negatively associated with the risk of obesity in both areas, and with abdominal obesity only in urban area. In urban area, plant protein intake was also negatively associated with the risks of metabolic syndrome, elevated triglyceride, and reduced high density lipoprotein-cholesterol. In urban area, the risk of metabolic syndrome was decreased when their protein intake was more than 0.91 g/kg and was lowest when their protein intake was more than 1.5 g/kg (P for trend < 0.001). Conclusions: Korean older adults showed inadequate protein intake and those in rural area showed lower animal protein intake than in urban area. The risk of obesity and metabolic syndrome was decreased with the increase of protein intake level. These findings may help develop effective nutrition support strategy for older adults to reduce regional health disparity.

센서스 데이터를 활용한 고령인구 분포 특성 (Characteristics for the Distribution of Elderly Population by Utilizing the Census Data)

  • 부산광역시는 2000년 고령화사회에 진입한 이후, 2011년 기준 고령화율이 7대 도시중 가장 높은 11.8%에 이르고 있다. 또한 전체인구 및 평균세대원수가 감소하는 가운데 65세 이상 고령인구는 급격히 증가하고 있어 2020년 이후 고령화율이 20%를 상회하는 초고령사회로의 진입이 예상된다. 이에 본 연구는 그 동안의 고령층의 주거 관련분석이 동단위로 이루어져 보다 미시적인 분석의 필요성 증가에 따라 2000년부터 2010년 사이에 조사된 센서스 집계 구단위의 공간분석을 실시하였다. 이를 활용하여 고령인구의 밀집지역, 급증지역, 고밀지역등과 같은 관심지역을 1차 추출하여 미시적인 위치와 공간상의 분포 패턴을 분석하였다. 분석결과 고령인구는 도심과 그 인접지역인 고지대에 밀집해 있었으며, 특정 집계구의 경우 10년간 증가속도가 30배 이상으로 나타났다. 이러한 지역의 국지적 수준의 분포 특성을 살펴보면, 부산시 원도심에 고령인구의 편중이 심화되고 있고, 2000년부터 2010년까지 부산의 전반적 분포 패턴에서는 고령인구가 점점 분산되고 있는 것을 확인했다. 이는 이전의 관련연구 결과와 대치되는 결과로 향후 초고령사회 진입에 따른 사회적 비용의 경감과 고령층의 삶의 질 개선을 위한 공간적 차원의 대응을 위한 기초자료로의 활용이 기대된다.

연대별 아파트 단지 옥외공간의 변화와 주민인식비교 - 대전광역시 아파트 단지를 대상으로 - (Chronological Studies on Residents' Appreciation of Outdoor Space in Apartment Complexes and It's Changes - Case Study of Apartment Complexes in the Daejeon Metropolis -)

  • Much has been made of the changes over time to apartment complexes during the era of rapid development in Korea. This study aimed at analyzing the chronological changes since the 1970s in the laws and regulations governing outdoor space and the residents' appreciation of outdoor space in Daejeon's apartment complexes. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Similar changes can be found throughout Daejeon's apartment complexes. As time has passed, the building-to-land ratio and the floor-to-land ratio have deceased. The high density trend of apartment complexes has continued until very recently. 2. Although residents' satisfaction with outdoor space around apartments has improved, land for athletic and commercial spaces still remains at its lowest level. Therefore, these kinds of spaces need improvement. 3. Comparing the characteristics of outdoor space in apartment complexes from the 1980s to present indicates that current apartment residents are much more satisfied with the outdoor space, but are conscious of the lack of adequate facilities for the elderly and the handicapped people, and of the hiか density of their apartment complexes. Therefore, these essential consciousness should also be further improved. 4. The residents are gradually becoming aware of changes to the outdoor space that have occurred over time in the apartment complexes, such as in the areas allowed to parking, pedestrians, and athletics. 5. These chronological changes relate to the residents' interest in the changes that have occurred to the outdoor space, especially the convenience of parking, the color of the buildings, the form of the buildings, and the shape of the roofs.

1인가구의 시공간적 분포 분석 - 부산시를 사례로 - (Spatio-Temporal Distribution Analysis of One-Person Household - The Case of Busan City -)

  • 현재 우리나라는 총 인구 감소 속에서도 1인가구는 꾸준히 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 1인 가구의 증가는 사회적, 제도적인 관심사로 부각되고 있으며 이에 따라 1인가구의 증가로 인하여 주택수요의 변화뿐만이 아니라 사회적 약자, 독거노인가구 등 생활 취약계층을 위하여 국가적 차원에서 사회 경제적 대응을 해야 할 필요성이 대두되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 부산시 1인가구의 분포를 알아보기 위해 센서스 자료를 이용하여 1인가구의 증가지역, 고밀지역, 다수지역 등을 중심으로 접근하였다. 2000년, 2005년, 2010년 각 년도별 시계열적 변화에 따른 공간적 분포에 초점을 두어 주택특성을 고려한 1인가구 밀집지역을 중심으로 대상지를 선정하고 정책적 효율성 차원에서 우선적으로 지원해야 할 밀집지역 선정을 위하여 부산의 6066개의 집계구 데이터를 활용하여 파악하였다. 그 결과 젊은층의 1인가구는 대학가, 오피스시설, 역세권 주변에 많이 분포하고 있었으며 중장년층의 1인가구는 부산의 원도심 지역과 산복도로 상에 많이 분포하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 특성들을 종합하여 군집 분석을 실시한 결과 부산의 1인가구 밀집지는 4개의 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 이러한 연구는 향후 1인가구의 주택수요 증가 대응방안이나 소형주택공급정책 측면의 업무를 지원하는 기초자료로서의 활용을 기대한다.
