문헌분석을 통한 대학수학능력시험 수리영역의 개정 방향 탐색 (Direction of Revision of College Scholastic Ability Test Through Literature Review)

  • 본 고는 1994년 이래 실시된 대학수학능력시험의 수리영역에 관해 여러 각도에서 연구한 다수의 논문들을 분석하였다. 이러한 선행연구들의 분석을 통하여 개정된 교육과정에 맞추어 수리영역의 출제 체제 개정에서의 시사점을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 본 고에서는 먼저 선행연구들을 '목적 및 특성과의 부합성', '교육에 끼친 영향', '사회에 끼친 영향'이라는 큰 범주로 나누어 고찰하였다. 선행 연구에 따르면, 교차지원, 선택과목간의 유 불리문제, 인문계와 자연계의 시험 과목(내용)의 차이, 대학수학능력 시험에 들어가야 할 과목 등의 논의가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 대학수능시험에서 수리영역의 글제 체제를 개정하는데 있어서 고려해야 할 요인을 제시함으로써 보다 합리적인 출제체제 개정에 필요한 기초정보를 제공하는데 그 의의를 두고 있다.

수학과 성취기준과 평가기준 개발 연구 - 초등학교 1, 2학년을 중심으로 - (The Development of the 7th National Curriculum-based Achievement and Assessment Standards for 1st and 2nd Grades in the Primary School Level)

  • In this study, on the basis of the seventh national mathematics curriculum, the achievement standards were developed to specify the objectives and contents of teaching-learning at the first and second elementary school mathematics. The assessment standards were also developed to differentiate students’ levels of achievement with ‘high’, ‘mid’ and ‘low’ categories. Furthermore, this stuffy suggested the exemplary test items including short-answer and open-ended questions while putting emphasis on students' real performance to increase their ability in solving problems rather than in calculating. In addition to the test items, it introduced the grading system developed to grade the items with concrete guidelines and to report students' achievement on doing mathematics.

초등학교 입문기 학생들의 수학 학습 능력 실태 조사 (Study on the examination of the first graders' mathematics learning abilities in elementary school)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the first graders' mathematics learning abilities in elementary school. To do this, I examined the first graders on their mathematics learning abilities, and analyzed the test results. Although all of the evaluation factors are composed the mathematical contents which are taught in elementary school, the correct answer rate of them were very high. The results of this study will be used as the basis. for developing the mathematics curriculum and textbook in elementary school. Also first grade teachers can use the results of this study as a basis when they plan a instruction for the first graders.

초등학생의 수학 인식론적 신념과 시험불안의 관계에서 수학 시험준비전략의 조절효과 분석 (The Moderated Effects of Mathematics Test-preparation Strategies in the Relation between Elementary School Students' Epistemological Beliefs about Mathematics and Test Anxiety)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 수학 인식론적 신념과 시험불안의 관계에서 수학 시험준비전략의 조절효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 수학 인식론적 신념을 예측변인, 수학 시험준비전략을 조절변인, 시험불안을 결과변인으로 설정하여 구조방정식 모형을 활용한 조절효과 검정을 시도하였다. 이 연구는 G광역시에 소재한 13개 초등학교 6학년 810명(남학생 411명, 여학생 399명)을 대상으로 수학 인식론적 신념 검사, 시험불안 검사, 수학 시험준비전략 검사를 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 초등학생의 수학 인식론적 신념과 시험불안의 관계에서 수학 시험준비전략의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 즉, 수학 인식론적 신념이 높을수록 시험불안이 낮았고, 수학 인식론적 신념이 낮을수록 수학 시험준비전략 수준이 시험불안에 미치는 영향력이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이 분석결과는 수학 인식론적 신념이 낮은 학생들의 경우 수학 시험준비전략에 대한 강조가 오히려 시험불안에 대한 영향력을 가중시키는 반면, 수학 인식론적 신념 수준이 높은 학생들에게는 수학 시험준비전략을 높이기 위한 노력이 시험불안을 낮추는데 효과적임을 시사한다.

  • 수능 자료 및 학업성취도평가 자료가 2010년 제한된 연구자에게 처음으로 공개되었다. 본 연구에서는 처음으로 공개된 수능 자료 및 학업성취도평가 자료를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 5개 대도시 학생들의 국가수준학업성취도평가 및 대학수학능력시험의 수학 성적을 조사하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석대상은 성적처리가 완료된 2003년~2009년의 국가수준학업성취도평가의 수학성적 자료, 1995학년도~2010학년도 대학수학능력시험 수리영역성적 자료이며, 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 성취도평가의 수학성적의 변화 추이를 성별, 설립유형별, 학교유형별로 분석하였다. 둘째, 고등학교 수능시험 성적의 변화 추이를 성별 및 계열별로 분석하고, 인문계열 (수리'나'형), 자연계열 (수리'가'형)의 응시인원의 변화 추이를 분석하였다. 셋째, 동일한 집단을 대상으로 초등학교 6학년, 중학교 3학년, 고등학교 1학년 성취도평가, 고등학교 3학년 수능성적의 변화추이를 고찰하였다.

경도장애 학생들의 수학적 문제해결을 위한 폴리아의 전략 효과 연구 (The Effect of Polya's Heuristics in Mathematical Problem Solving of Mild Disability Students)

  • This study attempted to figure out new teaching method of mathematics teaching-learning by applying Polya's 4-level strategy to mild disability students at the H Special-education high school where the research works for. In particular, epilogue and suggestion, which Polya stressed were selected and reconstructed for mild disability students. Prior test and post test were carried by putting the Polya's problem solving strategy as independent variable, and problem solving ability as dependent variable. As a result, by continual use of Polya's program in mathematics teaching course, it suggested necessary strategies to solve mathematics problems for mild disability students and was proven that Polya's heuristic training was of help to improve problem solving in mathematics.

중학생을 대상으로 한 수학적 의사소통의 지도 효과에 관한 연구 (Effects of communication in learning middle grade school Mathematics)

  • This study investigated the effect of teaching mathematical communication in mathematics learning. Cooperative learning, mathematics pin pals, and writing a mathematics diary were used to teach how to communicate mathematically. The experimental group was assigned to cooperate in class, to write a mathematics diary at the end of each class, and to exchange the mathematics pen pals once a week. The control group was taught by the traditional teaching method. The results were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The learning achievement between the two groups was performed with pretests and posttests. And after this study, mathematics pen pals, video protocol and open-ended test were analyzed. The results of this study are the following: 1. There were little differences in learning achievement test between the group taught through communication and those not. And there were little differences in the results of achievement test between the two groups-high and low level classes.2. Cooperative learning, writing a mathematics diary and mathematics pen pals were effective as methods of teaching communication mathematically. The analysis of mathematics pen pals which is to investigate student's writing abilities showed that pen pal partners were improved in QCAI communication levels. There was a significant difference between the two groups in open-ended test. This means that communication learning has an effect on the tests for mathematical thought, reasoning, and creative thought. The analysis of video protocol showed that four students in a cooperative group were improved in their speaking and listening abilities.

이공계 신입생의 수학 기초학력과 학업 성취도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the relationship between freshmen's achievements of general mathematics and BMDT)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the freshmen's achievements on general mathematics their GPA based on 'basic mathematics diagonal test score'. Also, we studied the achievements of students who were not passed the 'Basic Mathematics Diagonal Test (BMDT)' and had to take supplementary lessons to improve their mathematics abilities four times a week during the first semester of academic year 2008 in Mokpo National University. Before taking college entrance exam, high school students had to choose two types of scholastic area. One is on 'Ga' or 'Na' in mathematics and the other is on Natural Science or Social Science. According to the types, we classified the freshman-Ga or Na and NS or SS. We found some facts. First, a few of Ga and NS freshmen had low score on the BMDT. Second, Na and NS freshman got higher score than Na and SS freshmen on the BMDT. Third, Ga and NS freshmen who passed the BMDT got higher score on the general mathematics than those who failed the BMDT. Finally, there are correlations between achievements of general mathematics and a curriculum of freshmen who were passed test after taking supplementary lessons.

인포그래픽 기반 STEAM 프로그램 개발 및 효과성 검증 (Development of an Infographic-Based STEAM Program)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an infographic-based STEAM program for high school students and test its effectiveness. In this study, we converged high school 'art' education with 'Korean language' and 'mathematics.' The program was divided into four phases. The effectiveness of the program was analyzed by conducting matched pair t-test for 377 students at a girl's high school in Seoul before and after the program. The study found that the students' self-concept on mathematics and their attitude towards choosing science and engineering career showed significant increases after the program. By connecting high school courses through data visualization based on cognitive information design, findings from this study suggest that our infographic-based STEAM program should be implemented more frequently at high schools.

초등학생용 수학에 대한 태도척도의 개발과 타당화 (Validation of a Scale for Elementary School Students' Attitudes toward Mathematics)

  • This attitudes scale for prediction of mathematics achievement by elementary school students was developed from 50 initial items from the literature rated for content validity by 30 experts. The ratings rendered 31 revised items used for exploratory factor analysis and reliability tests. The 31 items were administered to 183 elementary students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, yielding 4 factors : enjoyment, confidence, value, and motivation with high inter-items consistency. To confirm appropriateness of the constructed model and to test its predictability in mathematics achievements, confirmative factor analysis and discriminant analysis were performed on 693 cases. Results showed that the attitude scale model of 4 factors can be recommended for use in the measurement of elementary school students' attitudes toward mathematics.
