Design of online damage images detection system for large-aperture mirrors of high power laser facility based on wavefront coding technology

  • The laser transport system of the high power laser facility is mainly composed of large-aperture laser transport mirrors (TMs). Obtaining the high-resolution online damage images during the operation, which is of great significance for operating safely of the mirrors and the facility. Based on wavefront coding, pan-tilt scanning and image stitching technologies, an online laser-damage images detection system is designed, and it can achieve high-precision detection of surface characteristics of large-aperture laser transport mirrors. The preliminary simulation proves that the system can solve the depth of field matching problem caused by pan-tilt tilt imaging and achieve higher resolution.

  • Target alignment technology is one of the most critical technologies in laser fusion experiments and is an important technology related to the success of laser fusion experiments. In this study, by combining the open-loop and closed-loop errors of the target alignment, the Kalman state observer is used to estimate the position of the target, which improves the observation precision of the target alignment. Then the optimized result is used to guide the alignment of the target. This method can greatly optimize the target alignment error and reduce uncertainty. With the improvement of the target alignment precision, it will greatly improve the reliability and repeatability of the experiments' results, thereby improving the success rate of the experiments.

고출력 레이저 시스템을 위한 대구경 Faraday Rotator 제작 (Design of the Large Diameter Faraday Rotator for High-power Laser Systems)

  • We report on the design and experimental results of a large diameter faraday rotator for the high-power laser system(KLF: Kaeri laser facility) that was completed in late 2007s at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. The design involves modelling the magnetic field of cylindrical coil with large diameter(110 mm). Magnetic field generation coil is designed by 6 layers using a rectangular wire with cross-sectional area $3{\times}5[mm^2]$. We obtain an isolation ratio for optical feedback of 35 dB at 1064 nm and magnetic field strengths ${\sim}25kG$. We expect that the design can be widely used optical isolators in high-power laser system.

배관부 감육 손상의 비파괴 평가를 위한 레이저 초음파 기술 적용 (Application of Laser Ultrasonic Technique for Nondestructive Evaluation of Wall Thinning in Pipe)

  • 원자력 발전소의 많은 배관들은 고온, 고압 환경에서 사용되고 있으며, 부식에 의한 감육 손상이 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 이러한 배관의 감육 손상은 원전 설비가 노후화됨에 따라 점차 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서, 배관 부식에 의한 원전 설비의 사고를 예방하기 위해 배관부의 감육 손상 및 부식 결함을 비파괴적인 방법으로 평가할 필요가 있다. 특히, 원자력 발전소의 배관에서 발생하는 감육 손상을 실시간으로 평가하기 위한 레이저 초음파 기술은 기존의 접촉식 방법이 가지는 한계를 넘어 접근이 어려운 부위에서도 측정이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 비파괴, 비접촉식 평가를 위해 레이저를 이용한 광학적 방법을 적용하였다. 펄스 레이저로 초음파를 발생시키고 레이저 간섭계를 이용하여 초음파 신호를 획득하였으며, 먼저 감육 손상이 없는 배관에서의 초음파 신호를 검출하여 배관 내에서의 종파 속도를 측정하였다. 그리고, 배관의 두께대비 20, 30, 40, 50%의 인위적인 감육 배관을 제작하여 종파 속도를 측정하였다. 측정된 종파 속도를 이용하여 감육 배관의 두께를 계산할 수 있고, 감육 손상 부분(내부결함 깊이)의 정량적 평가도 가능하였다.

  • 우리나라에서는 3 Θ 4w 배전방식을 채택하고 있는데 최근에는 컴퓨터 등 OA 기기 사용증가로 이때 발생하는 영상분 고조파에 의하여 중성선에 상전류 보다 큰 전류가 흐르게 된다. 고조파에 의한 중전선 과전류는 케이블, 변압기, 과열소손, 변압기, 발전기 출력저하, 역률저하, 전력손실 증가, ELB, MCCB 오동작, 유도장해, 중성선 대지전위 상승 등 심각한 장애를 일으키고 있다.

DWT 및 고주파 노이즈 성분 분석을 이용한 PV 시스템 인버터 노이즈 구분 및 직렬 아크 검출 (Separation Inverter Noise and Detection of DC Series Arc in PV System Based on Discrete Wavelet Transform and High Frequency Noise Component Analysis)

  • Arc fault detector based on multilevel DWT with analysis of high-frequency noise components over 100 kHz is proposed in this study to improve the performance in detecting serial arcs and distinguishing them from inverter noise in PV systems. PV inverters generally operate at a frequency range of 20-50 kHz for switching operation and maximum power tracking control, and the effect of these frequency components on the signal for arc detection leads to negative arc detection. High-speed ADC and multilevel DWT are used in this study to analyze frequency components above 100 kHz. Such high frequency components are less influenced by inverter noise and utilized to detect as well as separate DC series arc from inverter noise. Arc detectors identify the input current of PV inverters using a Rogowski coil. The sensed signal is filtered, amplified, and used in 800kSPS ADC and DWT analysis and arc occurrence determination in DSP. An arc detection simulation facility in UL1699B was constructed and AFD tests the proposed detector were conducted to verify the performance of arc detection and performance of distinction of the negative arc. The satisfactory performance of the arc detector meets the standard of arc detection and extinguishing time of UL1699B with an arc detection time of approximately 0.11 seconds.
