HID램프와 안정기 사이의 전선 길이에 따른 이그니션 전압 전달특성 분석 (Transmission Characteristics & Analysis of Ignition Voltage According to Its Conductor Length from the Ballast to the HID Lamp)

  • In this paper, characteristics of ignition voltage and current by wire length of HID(High Intensity Discharge) lamp circuit are analyzed. In the construction field, decision of the wire thickness for HID lamp circuit has the problems, and these are presented. Through transmit parameters, equivalent model of the ballast and HID lamp circuit was derived. The graph of voltage reduction about length between the ballast and the lamp is shown. The simulation of proposed model and experimental results are presented in order to validate the proposed method. The proposed model and graph can use to choose the proper length of wire between the ballast and the lamp in the field.

  • 형광램프와 HID(high intensity discharge)램프는 수은(Hg)에 의해 빛을 방사한다. 산업환경의 변화속에서 침체기를 맞고 있는 국내 조명산업이 내부적으로는 친환경 조명제품 개발에 주력하고 외부적으로는 환경규제로 인한 피해를 최소화시킴과 동시에 적극적인 세계시장공략으로 고부가가치산업으로 성장할 수 있도록 조명분야의 환경규제 동향을 조사하여 조명산업 전반에 널리 홍보함으로써 국내 조명산업의 지속적인 경쟁력 및 성장가능성 확보에 목적을 두고 있다. 선진국을 중심으로 제도화되고 있는 환경규제(RoHS. WEEE 등)에 따른 문제점과 예상 영향(피해)도를 조사, 분석하여 시기적절한 효율적인 발전방안을 모색함으로써 국내 조명산업의 지속적인 경쟁력 및 성장가능성 확보를 위한 조명산업 발전방안 제시에 목적을 두고 있다.

저 가격형 Zigbee 통신 네트워크 기반 HID 가로등의 원격 제어 및 감시 시스템 개발 (Development of Remote Control and Monitoring System for HID Street-lamp Based on Low Cost Zigbee Communication Network)

  • In this paper, remote control and surveillance monitoring system of HID street-lamp using low-cost type of Zigbee communication module was developed. A plurality of capacitors with different capacity are attached to magnetic ballast for HID lamps. Changes in the amount of illumination can be adjusted by the changes in capacity so that the electric energy can be reduced. In Zigbee communication module, a ATmega128L microprocessor is used and in main CPU, ARM9 Core is used to construct a low-cost smart system. In surveillance monitoring systems, the system was configured to remote monitoring of presence of error in the lamp abnormalities, the status of leakage current and abnormalities of ballasts and capacitors and the validity of the proposed empirical experiment was confirmed.

  • In this paper, we investigate the numbers and electrical capacities of general and industrial Korean lighting apparatus. The results show that the number of lighting apparatus are 68,211,000 in general and 53,836,000 in industrial building and the capacities of lighting apparatus are 3,261,609 kW in general and 4,278,683 kW in industrial building. The ratio of Lighting apparatus is that fluorescent lamps are 56.9%, high intensity discharge lamps are 29.7%, and incandescent lamps are 12.1%.

  • Decomposition of ozone at room temperature was investigated comparatively with commercial monolithic ozone decomposition catalyst (ODC, $MnO_2$) and monolithic photo catalyst ($TiO_2$). The effects of residence time, UV (ultraviolet) light dependence and ozone concentration on the conversion was presented. UV ray was irradiated using BLB (black light blue) lamp ($315{\sim}400$ nm), supplied with a constant intensity in the reactor. The concentration of ozone in the square-shape reactor can be controlled by combining the DBD (dielectric barrier discharge) reactor with an AC high voltage supply system. The catalytic performance, in presence of UV irradiation did not show significant changes for $MnO_2$ catalyst. $TiO_2$ catalyst was the different case, which showed higher decomposition activity in presence of UV irradiation. Deactivation of catalyst detected by real-time ozone monitor for 120 hours with a constant inlet ozone concentration.

프리볼트입력용 메탈핼라이드램프 전자식안정기 개발 (Development of Electronic Ballast for Metal Halide Lamp wilts Free Voltage Input)

  • 고압방전램프에는 고압수은램프, 고압나트륨램프와 메탈핼라이프램프가 있다. 메탈핼라이드램프는 가장 효율 좋을 램프들 중 하나이며 고효율, 고연색성과 집광능력이 좋다. 이 연구의 목적은 AC 100∼277의 프리볼트입력용 전자식안정기를 개발하여 메탈핼라이드(MH70W)를 점등시키는 것이다. 개발된 전자식안정기는 프리볼트입력용컨버터, 플라이백컨버터와 하프브리지인버터, 이그나이터와 보호기 그리고 제어기로 구성되어 있다. 실험 결과 개발된 전자식안정기는 프리볼트입력(AC 100∼277V)에 따라 메탈핼라이드램프(MH70W)가 매우 잘 점등되었다.

하이브리드 태양광 LED 가로등 컨트롤러의 효율 개선 (Improve the Efficiency of Hybrid Solar LED Street Lamp Controller)

  • We develop the 60 W class hybrid solar LED street lamp controller. The controller is providing power via an inverter in the day with the least solar cell and battery and charging the battery for the ESS, acts as a power failure, the built-in battery. Rated output of the fabricated LED street lamp is 300 W or greater battery capacity 300 Wh, discharge time 10 hr, LED street lamp efficiency showed a very high level of light efficiency by about 127 lm/W. In addition, as a result of light distribution pattern according to the distance and the light intensity measurement will be able to ensure a very high quality, show the constant brightness in the distance from the road lights 6 m is about 35~40 lux in uniformity ratio. The proposed hybrid solar LED street lamp system showed a high energy capacity of approximately 1.5 to 152.7% power generation efficiency than typical conventional solar street lamp.

  • The improvement of luminance and luminous efficiency is the one of the most important parts in AC-PDPs. To achieve high luminance and luminous efficiency, high VUV emission efficiency is needed. We measured the emission spectra of the vacuum ultraviolet(VUV) rays in surface discharge AC-PDP with ternary gas mixture of He-Ne-Xe. The influence of He-Ne-Xe gas-mixture ratio on excited $Xe^{\ast}$ resonant atoms and $Xe_2\;^{\ast}$ dimers has been investigated. It is found that luminous efficiency of ternary gas mixture, He-Ne-Xe, is shown to be much higher than that of binary gas mixture of Ne-Xe. For improving discharge luminous efficiency, we have studied VUV emission characteristics of ternary gas mixture, He(50%)-Ne-Xe and He(70%)-Ne-Xe with Xe concentration and filling gas pressure.

Short-Arc 램프용 전자식 안정기의 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of an Electronic Ballast for Short-Arc Lamps)

  • 본 논문은 승압형 컨버터, 강압형 컨버터 및 저주파 인버터를 이용한 고휘도 Short-Arc 램프용 전자식 안정기의 설계 및 제작에 관하여 기술하였다. 제안한 안정기는 130 [Hz]의 구형 저주파를 램프에 인가함으로써 고압 방전 램프에서 발생할 수 있는 음향공명현상을 제거하였으며, 25 [kHz]의 고주파 전압을 중첩시켜 아크튜브의 전극에서 발생할 수 있는 열적 불균형을 해소하였다. 또한 전압 전류의 합을 이용한 정전력 제어를 수행하여, 주위 환경 및 램프의 노화에 따른 램프 전압의 변화에 대하여 안정한 점등상태를 유지하였다. 실험 결과로부터, 제작한 전자식 안정기의 램프 전압, 전류 및 전력은 각각 123.8 [V], 8.1 [A] 1,002 [W]로 측정되었다.

농업수리구조물의 적정설계홍수량 유도를 위한 유출수문곡선 모형의 개발(II) (Development of Runoff Hydrograph Model for the Derivation of Optimal Design Flood of Agricultural Hydraulic Structures(II))

  • This study was conducted to develop an optimal runoff bydrograph model by comparison of the peak discharge and time to peak between observed and simulated flows derived by four different models, that is, linear time-invariant, linear time-variant, nonlinear time-invariant and nonlinear time-variant models under the conditions of heavy rainfalls with regionally uniform rainfall intensity in short durations at nine small watersheds. The results obtained through this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Parameters for four models including linear time-invariant, linear time-variant, nonlinear time-invariant and nonlinear time-variant models were calibrated using a trial and error method with rainfall and runoff data for the applied watersheds. Regression analysis among parameters, rainfall and watershed characteristics were established for both linear time-invariant and nonlinear time-invariant models. 2. Correlation coefficients of the simulated peak discharge of calibrated runoff hydrographs by using four models were shown to be a high significant to the peak of observed runoff graphs. Especially, it can be concluded that the simulated peak discharge of a linear time-variant model is approaching more closely to the observed runoff hydrograph in comparison with those of three models in the applied watersheds. 3. Correlation coefficients of the simulated time to peak of calibrated runoff hydrographs by using a linear time-variant model were shown to be a high significant to the time to peak of observed runoff hydrographs than those of the other models. 4. The peak discharge and time to peak of simulated runoff hydrogaphs by using linear time-variant model are verified to be approached more closely to those of observed runoff hydrographs than those of three models in the applied watersheds. 5. It can be generally concluded that the shape of simulated hydrograph based on a linear time-variant model is getting closer to the observed runoff hydrograph than those of three models in the applied watersheds. 6. Simulated hydrographs using the nonlinear time-variant model which is based on more closely to the theoritical background of the natural runoff process are not closer to the observed runoff hydrographs in comparison with those of three models in the applied watersheds. Consequently, it is to be desired that futher study for the nonlinear time-variant model should be continued with verification using rainfall-runoff data of the other watersheds in addition to the review of analyical techniques.
