성인간호학 이론수업과 연계한 High-Fidelity 시뮬레이션 교육의 효과 (The Effect of High-Fidelity Simulation Practice Related with Classical Education of Medical Surgical Nursing)

  • 본 연구는 간호 대학생에게 성인간호학 이론수업과 실습교육의 단절로 발생하는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 High-Fidelity 시뮬레이션 교육프로그램을 개발하여 적용함으로써 그 효과를 분석하고자 시행되었다. 분석방법은 성인간호학 이론수업의 학습목표에 따라 비뇨기계 대상자 간호에서 고칼륨혈증 대상자 간호를 위한 알고리즘, 평가체크리스트, 디브리핑을 포함한 시나리오를 개발하여 비동등성 대조군 전후설계(non-equivalent control group pre-test and post-test design)로 측정하였다. 분석결과 일반적 특성과 종속변수의 실험군과 대조군의 동질성이 확보되었다. 고칼륨혈증 대상자 시뮬레이션 교육프로그램이 간호대학생의 간호수행능력, 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향, 자기효능감, 간호지식정도에 미치는 효과는 시뮬레이션 교육을 받은 실험군이 대조군 보다 유의하게 증가하였고, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(t=-83.313, p<.001, t=-3.169, p=.003, t=-2.473, p=.017, t=-4.036, p<.001, t=-5.044, p<.001). 간호학생의 성인간호학 이론수업과 연계한 High-Fidelity 시뮬레이션 프로그램은 간호수행능력, 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향, 자기효능감, 간호지식을 높게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 시뮬레이션 실습교육 프로그램을 교육과정에 적용함으로써 효율적인 실습교육 방안을 제시하고 간호교육의 질 제고에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

일 대학 간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 교육 경험 분석 (Experiences among Undergraduate Nursing Students on High-fidelity Simulation Education: A Focus Group Study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore experiences among undergraduate nursing students in a high-fidelity simulation education course for a semester. Method: The participants in this study were 10 nursing students in the senior classes and volunteers. Data collection was conducted using a focus group interview for 100 minutes, which was recorded on video tape. Transcribed data was analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Result: The results of this study were deduced as 4 codes and 22 themes. Study participants reported experiences due to the simulation method itself, interaction among peer group and personal experiences during high-fidelity simulation education. Additionally, experiences related to clinical application were examined. The participants indicated positive outcomes such as developing clinical judgment skills and confidence. Conclusion: Overall, the results of this study supported the usability and effectiveness of a high-fidelity simulation education method in undergraduate nursing curriculum. Further studies are needed to provide more reliable and valid educational information.

고충실도(High-fidelity) 시뮬레이터와 표준화 환자 (Standardized Patient)를 활용한 발열환아 간호 교육의 효과 (Effects of High-fidelity Simulator and Standardized Patient on Nursing Care for Children with Fever in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of simulation-based education using high-fidelity simulator and standardized patient in nursing care for children with fever on nursing students. Methods: A total of 166 senior nursing students who completed pediatric nursing practicum courses participated in this study. The single group study design with pretest and posttest was used. The simulation education was provided for 200mins including orientation, simulation preparation, simulation practicum, and debriefing. Pre and post surveys were performed using questionnaires on clinical performance competency, communication skills, critical thinking disposition and self-confidence. Results: The mean scores of clinical performance competency (t=-2.56, p<.05), communication skills (t=-6.39, p<.001), critical thinking disposition (t=-3.43, p<.001), and self-confidence (t=-3.72, p<.001) in posttest were significantly higher than those in pretest. Also, clinical performance competency in nursing care for children with fever has significant relationships with communication skills, critical thinking disposition and self-confidence. Conclusion: The results indicate that simulation-based education using high-fidelity simulator and standardized patient is an effective strategy for improving clinical performance competency, communication skills, critical thinking disposition and self-confidence in nursing students. Further study is needed to verify the effects.

유도 브릴루앙 산란에 의한 펄스 압축 과정에서의 Peak Power 반사율과 위상공액도 (Peak Power Reflectivity and Phase Conjugation Fidelity in a Pulse Compression Process by Stimulated Brillouin Scattering)

  • 유도 브릴루앙 반사광을 고출력 레이저에 응용할 때 요구되는 반사광 특성이 실험적으로 조사되었다. 집속 렌즈의 초점거리에 따른 유도 브릴루앙 반사광의 peak power 반사율과 위상공액도가 측정되었다. 또한 반사광 가운데 펄스압축된 부분만의 위상공액도가 측정되었다. 초점거리가 긴 경우(f=100cm) 반사광의 peak power가 입사광의 약 2배에 이르렀다. 이때 반사광 중에서 압축된 선두펄스만의 위상공액도는 약 90%로 다른 시간의 펄스보다 위상공액도가 우수했다. 공간적으로는 유도 브릴루앙 이득이 가장 큰 광축부분의 바사관이 최대의 펄스압축, peak power 반사율, 위상공액도를 보여서 유도 브릴루앙 산란을 응용할 때 가장 유용한 부분으로 확인되었다.

Fidelity 단계를 통합한 시뮬레이션 교육 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects of the Integrative Fidelity Simulation Curriculum)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate effects of the integrative fidelity simulation curriculum. Methods: The integrative fidelity simulation curriculum was developed through meetings of experts based on nursing content. To test the application effect of simulation curriculum, a one group pre-post test design was applied. The simulation curriculum was applied with 149 nursing students who participated voluntarily. Results: In the application of satisfaction of the curriculum, learning interest in nursing and intrinsic motivation, nursing students had high scores in all evaluations. In addition, satisfaction of the curriculum had a significant positive correlation with learning interest in nursing and intrinsic motivation. Conclusion: The integrative fidelity simulation was an effective teaching tool for nursing students, and needs to develop more varied nursing simulation scenarios and curriculum.

고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육이 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of High Fidelity Simulation-Based Education on Communication Self-Efficacy, Communication Competence and Educational Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육을 적용한 후 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 사후 설계이다. 2021년 10월 28일부터 11월 18일까지 4주 동안 A시 소재 대학에 재학 중인 간호 대학생 4학년 42명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, x2 test, independent t-test를 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 고충실도 시뮬레이션 기반 교육 후 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감(t=2.87, p=.007), 의사소통능력(t=2.96, p=.005), 교육만족도(t=4.75, p=<.001)는 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육이 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력, 교육만족도를 향상시키는데 효과적이었다.

  • 이차곡선에 대해 고교과정에서는 종합적인 개념습득이 이루어질 기회가 부족하고 대학과 정은 고등수학적 접근으로 진행되어 여전히 개념습득의 어려움을 갖는다는 점을 인식하고 예비교사들의 문제제기에 의한 수학적 사고확장을 돕고자 그래핑 계산기를 활용하여 수학적, 인지적, 교수적 충실도를 조사하였다. 인지적 충실도에서는 세 가지 수학적 속성의 문제제기가 이루어졌으며 이 때 수학적 충실도가 인지적 충실도와 순환적 연관성을 보였으며 교수적 충실도는 인지적 충실도를 더욱 활성화시키는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Euler and Navier-Stokes flow analyses for helicopter rotor in hover were performed as low and high fidelity analysis models respectively for the future multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO). These design-oriented analyses possess several attributes such as variable complexity, sensitivity-computation capability and modularity which analysis models involved in MDO are recommended to provide with. To realize PC-based analyses for both fidelity models, reduction of flow domain was made by appling farfield boundary condition based on 3-dimensional point sink with simple momentum theory and also periodic boundary condition in the azimuthal direction. Correlations of thrust, torque and their sensitivities between low and high complexity models were tried to evaluate the applicability of these analysis models in MDO process. It was found that the low-fidelity Euler analysis model predicted inaccurate sensitivity derivatives at relatively high angle of attack.

Nurse Educators' Experience of Developing and Implementing a High-fidelity Simulation-based Interprofessional Education Module for Medical and Nursing Students

  • Objective: Despite the recommendation of the use of high-fidelity simulation (HFS) in interprofessional education (IPE), there is little known about its work for nursing students. Thus, this study aimed to explore nurse educators' perceptions and experiences in developing and implementing the HFS-based IPE for nursing and medical students. Methods: This study used a case study, using reflective filed notes. Results: Nursing educators perceived HFS as an effective educational approach to engaging nursing and medical students actively in interprofessional collaborative practice (ICP) experiences and in evaluating their actual performance on it. In terms of their perspectives on the elements necessary for effective HFS-based IPE, four themes were identified: collaborative learning, co-facilitating debriefing, leadership commitment and active faculty involvement.

Multi-fidelity uncertainty quantification of high Reynolds number turbulent flow around a rectangular 5:1 Cylinder

  • In this work a multi-fidelity non-intrusive polynomial chaos (MF-NIPC) has been applied to a structural wind engineering problem in architectural design for the first time. In architectural design it is important to design structures that are safe in a range of wind directions and speeds. For this reason, the computational models used to design buildings and bridges must account for the uncertainties associated with the interaction between the structure and wind. In order to use the numerical simulations for the design, the numerical models must be validated by experi-mental data, and uncertainties contained in the experiments should also be taken into account. Uncertainty Quantifi-cation has been increasingly used for CFD simulations to consider such uncertainties. Typically, CFD simulations are computationally expensive, motivating the increased interest in multi-fidelity methods due to their ability to lev-erage limited data sets of high-fidelity data with evaluations of more computationally inexpensive models. Previous-ly, the multi-fidelity framework has been applied to CFD simulations for the purposes of optimization, rather than for the statistical assessment of candidate design. In this paper MF-NIPC method is applied to flow around a rectan-gular 5:1 cylinder, which has been thoroughly investigated for architectural design. The purpose of UQ is validation of numerical simulation results with experimental data, therefore the radius of curvature of the rectangular cylinder corners and the angle of attack are considered to be random variables, which are known to contain uncertainties when wind tunnel tests are carried out. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations are solved by a solver that employs the Finite Element Method (FEM) for two turbulence modeling approaches of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations: Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (URANS) and the Large Eddy simulation (LES). The results of the uncertainty analysis with CFD are compared to experimental data in terms of time-averaged pressure coefficients and bulk parameters. In addition, the accuracy and efficiency of the multi-fidelity framework is demonstrated through a comparison with the results of the high-fidelity model.
