  • The various ground support equipments are necessary for KSLV-II ground operation at the assembly building located in Naro Space Center. Among the various ground support equipments, the launch vehicle connection unit and high pressure flexible hose are important elements, because they are used for connection between the ground compressed gas supply system and the launch vehicle. In this paper, the development progress of the launch vehicle connection unit and high pressure flexible hose are introduced.

  • Flexible hydraulic hose assembly that consists of hose and joints is used widely on various construction heavy equipments, agricultural machines, motor vehicles, and industrial heavy machines that require flexibility on hydraulic pipelines. It is classified by the maximum usage pressure which is determined by the winding layers of coiling steel wire and the inner diameter of the hoses. In this paper, we designed and performed an accelerated life test for assessing the reliability of a flexible hydraulic hose assembly. In the proposed accelerated life test, typical impulse pressure testing method is applied with the half omega flexing operation to simulate the practical flexing motion of the hose assembly.

  • A concrete docking hose of pump car's boom pipe line have been used in many construction sites. They are long structures with continuous cornering, similar to a trunk of the elephant, characterized by a very high pressure resistance of 20MPa. They need flexible materials and structure in order to move the hose smoothy. But commercial concrete hose is hard to handle and heavy owing to adaption of steel reinforcement. In this study, it is tried an experimental approach to the characteristic of inner rubber layer and abrasion resistance. Also, we are investigated the bursting pressure according to the reinforcement of the hose and propose the usefulness of the hose reinforced with high strengthened aramid fiber.

  • In this paper, to improve the efficiency of pressurized pneumatic grit conveying for ship block open blasting process. Pressurized pneumatic grit conveying is defined as the transportation of grit(abrasive) in a compressed air flow. Total Pressure loss in flexible hose for pneumatic conveying is sum of pressure losses due to gas and grit and needle type pressure transmitter for measured pressure loss. haracteristics of grit open blasting by pneumatic conveying were studied experimentally. Studies variables were blasting nozzle ID, length and ID of flexible hose, grit flow rate, flow rate and pressure of transport air. It was experimentally proved that optimal open blasting condition and cost effective operation regarding grit blasting, obtaining a high qulity surface preparation(Sa $2^{\frac{1}{2}}$).

Assessment of Underwater Penetration Performance for the Shape of the External Device of Shaped Charge (성형폭약 외부장치 형상에 따른 수중 관입성능 평가)

  • For underwater steel structure, cut that underwater shaped charge device that combines a spring hose, which is an external device of pressure resistance and flexibility with flexible shaped charge, was invented. As a basic experiment for an optimum condition design, an penetration performance was compared by external device shape. To evaluate the result of an experiment, image analysis was carried out after obtaining the model by using the liquid rubber for the penetrated steel plate. To simulate the penetrating process of shaped charge, the AUTODYN program has been used. As a result of analysis, while the average penetration depth of circular and square shaped external devices were similar, the penetration quality was more uniform in the case of circle. In addition, water infiltration occurred in square case, displacement and strain rate according to the increase of the water pressure were measured high.
