  • 최근 스마트 러닝이 학교현장에서 자리매김하고 스마트 기기도 활용이 됨으로써, 과거에는 수행할 수 없었던 평가방식과 학습활동의 관리가 가능해졌다. 하지만, 아직도 학교현장을 위한 앱이나 웹 프로그램의 개발은 활성화되고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 학생들이 수업시간에 직접 스마트기기를 활용하여 학생들의 학습활동을 평가하고 이를 데이터화함으로써 향후 학생들 스스로의 자기관리나 교사들의 학습자 지도에 도움이 될 수 있는 웹응용과 앱을 개발함을 목적으로 한다.

  • This paper is concerned with High Frequency, High Voltage Generator for X-ray using zero-voltage soft-switching PWM DC-DC high-power converter by Resonant method, which makes the most of the parastic LC parameters of high-voltage transformer link, for diagnostic X-ray power generator. The converter circuit basically utilizes phase-shift pulse width modulated series Resonant full-bridge PWM DC-DC high-power converter operating at a constant frequency;25kHz. The converter output regulation is digitally controlled using DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for obtaining a fast rising time and adjust output voltage within a wide load range.

  • Wide band gap semiconductors, such as III-nitrides (GaN, AlN, InN, and their alloys), SiC, and diamond are expected to play an important role in the next-generation electronic devices. Specifically, GaN-based high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) have been targeted for high power, high frequency, and high temperature operation electronic devices for mobile communication systems, radars, and power electronics because of their high critical breakdown fields, high saturation velocities, and high thermal conductivities. For the stable operation, high power, high frequency and high breakdown voltage and high current density, the fabrication methods have to be optimized with considerable attention. In this study, low ohmic contact resistance and smooth surface morphology to AlGaN/GaN on 2 inch c-plane sapphire substrate has been obtained with stepwise annealing at three different temperatures. The metallization was performed under deposition of a composite metal layer of Ti/Al/Ni/Au with thickness. After multi-layer metal stacking, rapid thermal annealing (RTA) process was applied with stepwise annealing temperature program profile. As results, we obtained a minimum specific contact resistance of $1.6{\times}10^{-7}{\Omega}cm2$.

Molecular Cloning of Hemoglobin Alpha-chain Gene from Pantholops hodgsonii, a Hypoxic Tolerance Species

  • To investigate the possible mechanisms of high-altitude native animals in adapting to high altitude, we cloned hemoglobin alpha-chain (alpha-chain Hb) gene from Pantholops hodgsonii, an animal species that indigenously lives at elevations of 3700-5500 m on the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau. Using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique, the alpha-chain Hb gene was amplified from total RNA in the liver of the Pantholops hodgsonii. TA cloning technique was used and the PCR product was cloned into pGEM-T vector. The DNA sequence of the gene was highly homologous with sheep (99.1%), goat (98.6%), cattle (95.6%) and human (86.5%). The alpha-chain Hb gene encoded a 142-amino acid protein that could be identified with the homology of alpha-chain Hb protein in sheep (98%), goat (96%), cattle (91%) and human (87%). However, 18 alternations were detected when compared with the alpha-chain Hb gene in human, and 2 in sheep. Moreover, the alterations of a117 GluAsp and $\alpha$132 AsnSer in important regions were noted in human and sheep, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis suggested that the structure of alpha-chain Hb was highly similar to that in sheep. This study provided essential information for elucidating the possible roles of hemoglobin in adapting to extremely high altitude in Pantholops hodgsonii.

  • The reliability of hafnium oxide gate dielectrics incorporating lanthanum (La) is investigated. nMOSFETs with metal/La-doped high-k dielectric stack show lower $V_{th}$ and $I_{gate}$, which is attributed to the dipole formation at the high-k/$SiO_2$ interface. The reliability results well correlate with the dipole model. Due to lower trapping efficiency, the La-doping of the high-k gate stacks can provide better PBTI immunity, as well as lower charge trapping compared to the control HfSiO stacks. While the devices with La show better immunity to positive bias temperature instability (PBTI) under normal operating conditions, the threshold voltage shift (${\Delta}V_{th}$) at high field PBTI is significant. The results of a transconductance shift (${\Delta}G_m$) that traps are easily generated during high field stress because the La weakens atomic bonding in the interface layer.

  • The productivity of rice has been influenced by various abiotic factors including temperature which cause to limitations to rice yield and quality. Rice yield and quality are adversely affected by high temperature globally. In the present study, four Korean four cultivars such as Dongan, Ilpum, Samkwang, Chucheong were investigated in order to explore molecular mechanisms of high temperature at seedling stage. Rice seedlings grown at $28/20^{\circ}C$ (day/night) were subjected to 7-day exposure to $38/28^{\circ}C$ for high-temperature stress, followed by 2-D based proteomic analysis on biological triplicates of each treatment. The growth characteristics demonstrated that Dongan is tolerant while Ilpum is sensitive to high-temperature stress. High temperature has an adverse effect in the seedling stage both in high temperature sensitive and tolerant cultivar. Two-dimensional gels stained with silver staining, a total of 722 differential expressed protein spots (${\geq}1.5-fold$) were identified using Progenesis SameSpot software. However, a total of 38 differentially expressed protein spots were analyzed by LTQ-FT-ICR MS. Of these, 9 proteins were significantly increased while 10 decreased under high-temperature treatment. Significant changes were associated with the proteins involved in the carbohydrate metabolism, photosynthesis, and stress responses. Proteome results revealed that high-temperature stress had an inhibitory effect on carbon fixation, ATP production, and photosynthetic machinery pathway. The expression level of mRNA is significantly correlated with the results obtained in the proteome investigation. Taken together, these findings provide a better understanding of the high-temperature resistance by proteomic approaches, providing valuable insight into improving the high-temperature stress tolerance in the global warming epoch.

  • Metal film type of resistor have been tested to invest maximum usable power at the pulsed high voltage and pulsed high current. Experiments were carried out using capacitor charging power supply and dump switch. Pulsed amplitude were varied from 1kV to 25kV. The peak current reached was 1kA. Datasheet are given for the limited pulsed power and energy for metal film type of resistor in nanosecond and microsecond time range. The experimental investigation of the threshold loading of the resistor in the high current and voltage pulsed mode has shown that the process of destruction of resistor has specific features for each mode. The mechanisms of failure and destruction of resistors under action of high-voltage and high-current pulses are discussed.

Assessment on Damage Risk of Corn for High Temperature at Reproductive Stage in Summer Season Based on Climate Scenario RCP 8.5 and 4.5

  • In order to assess risk of high temperature damages about corn during reproduction stages in the future, we carried out analysis of climate change scenarios RCP (Representative Concentration Pathway) 4.5 and RCP8.5 distributed by KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) in 2012. We established two indexes such as average of annual risk days of high temperature damage which express frequency and strengthen index of high temperature damage. As results of producing maps for 157 cities and counties about average of annual risk days of high temperature damage during total periods of scenarios, the risk of high temperature in RCP8.5 was evaluated to increase at all over nation except inland area of Gangwon province, while RCP4.5 showed similar to present, or little higher. The maps of annual risk days of high temperature damage with 10 years interval in RCP8.5 prospected that the risk for damaging corn growth would increase rapidly from 2030's. The largest risk of high temperature damage in the future of RCP8.5 was analyzed at Changnyeong county located east-south inland area in Kyeongnam province, while the smallest of risk counties were Pyeongchang, Taebaek, Inje, and Jeongseon. The prospect at 12 counties which is large to produce corn at present and contains large plains have been showed that there will be only a little increase of risk of high temperature at Goesan, Yangpyeong, Hongcheon, Seosan, and Mooju until 2060's. But considering strengthen index of high temperature damage, most regions analyzed would be prospected to increase rapidly after 2030's. To cope with high temperature damage of corn in the future, we should develop various practical technologies including breeding adapted varieties and controlling cultivation periods.

  • Proposed induction-heated system is innovative system which applied special high-frequency power circuit technique for thermal converse technique and IH(Induction-Heating) magnetic induction heating generated from induction-heated metallic package that is for distillation unit. This electromagnetic induction heating technique is used high frequency inverter. By using high frequency inverter high frequency alternative current in the range of [kHz] can be made with conventional alternative current. In this contribution IGBT module is used for high frequency inverter. Resonant high frequency inverter make system of high capacity and high efficiency. This paper describes the temperature control of induction heating system hot air producer using the voltage-fed series resonant high-frequency inverter which can operate in the frequency range from 20 to 44[kHz].

Analysis of Energy Performance and Green Strategies in the Foreign High-Performance Buildings

  • Purpose: In this study, we analyzed the energy performance levels and high-performance technology trends through the case studies of foreign high-performance buildings. Method: Buildings built within 10 years were selected for the analysis of recent trends. we analyzed the buildings of U.S.A, Germany and Japan using LEED certified buildings, Passive House certified buildings and CASBEE certified buildings database for the case study of foreign high-performance buildings. A total of 20 high-performance buildings including 14 cases in U.S.A, 4 cases in Germany and 4 cases in Japan were selected. Annual energy consumption levels for 20 high-performance buildings were collected with the actual energy consumption data or data from simulation programs officially recognized by DOE. Annual energy consumption were compared with the energy performance standard of the office buildings in the CBECS database, ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004 and Building Energy Efficiency Rating System in Korea. Result: The order of the green strategies applied in the main categories are Renewable Energy(63%), Indoor Environment Control(51%), Envelope Improvement(44%) and HVAC System & Control(28%). Specified strategies most widely used in the sub-categories are high-performance Insulation (70%), High Efficiency Heating, Cooling Source Equipment(85%), Photovoltaic&Solar Thermal(80%) and Daylighting(80%).
