Design of A 1.8-V CMOS Frequency Synthesizer for WCDMA

  • This research describes the design of a fully integrated fractional-N frequency synthesizer intended for the local oscillator in IMT-2000 system using 0.18-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology and 1.8-V single power supply. The designed fractional-N synthesizer contains following components. Modified charge pump uses active cascode transistors to achieve the high output impedance. A multi-modulus prescaler has modified ECL-like D flip-flop with additional diode-connected transistors for short transient time and high frequency operation. And phase-frequency detector, integrated passive loop filter, LC-tuned VCO having a tuning range from 1.584 to 2.4 ㎓ at 1.8-V power supply, and higher-order sigma-delta modulator are contained. Finally, designed frequency synthesizer provides 5 ㎒ channel spacing with -122.6 dBc/Hz at 1 ㎒ in the WCDMA band and total output power is 28 mW.

대두발효식품 Cerebroside의 구성성분 분석 및 비교 (Analysis and Comparison of Cerebroside Components from Soybean Fermented Foods)

  • 대두 및 대두발효식품인 청국장과 된장의 cerebroside 구성성분인 지방산, 당 및 장쇄 sphingoid base들을 GC-MS로 분석하였다. Cerebroside 산-가수분해물의 지방산들을 O-TMS methylester 유도체로 만들어 분석하였으며 대두 및 청국장의 경우 2-hydroxyhexadecanoic acid(16 : 0h)가 각각 52.2% 및 62.0%로 가장 많았고 2-hydroxydocosanoic acid(22 : 0h) 및 2-hydroxytetracosanoic acid(24 : 0h)도 15.0~17.6%이었다. 그러나 된장의 경우 16 : 0h는 10.2%로 많은 감소를 보인 반면 24 : 0h는 40.9%, 22 : 0h는 23.4% 었으며 23 : 0h, 25 : 0h 및 26 : 0h도 대두 및 청국장에 비하여 많았다. Cerebroside 산-가수분해물의 장쇄 sphingoid base들은 N-acetyl-O-TMS 유도체로 분석하였으며 대두 및 청국장에서 4- trans, 8-trans-sphingadienine (d18 : 2 $\Delta$$^{4trans, 8trans}$) 는 59.9% 및 44.5%이었으며 4-hydroxy-8-trans, cis-sphingening (t18 : 1$\Delta$$^{8trans or cis}$)는 20.9% 및 35.9% 이었고 된장 cerebroside 역시 dl8 : 2$\Delta$$^{4trans, 8trans}$가 가장 많았다. 그러나 phytosphingosine(t18 : 0) 및 sphingosine 이 성질체(d18 : 1)들은 거의 보이지 않았다. 또한 된장의 경우 오랜 기간 미생물들에 의하여 발효되었지만 Aspergillus 속들의 cerebroside가 가지는 것으로 알려진 2-hydroxyoxtadec-3-enoic acid(18 : 1h) 및 9-methyl-4,8-sphingadienine 등은 발견되지 않았다. 대두, 청국장 및 된장 cerebroside의 당유도체 mass spectrum 분석 결과 99%이상이 glucose 1번 탄소가 ceramide backbone에 결합된 monoglucocerebroside 인 것으로 나타났다.

Kinetic Studies of the Solvolyses of 4-Nitrophenyl Phenyl Thiophosphorochloridate

  • Rates of solvolyses of 4-nitrophenyl phenyl thiophosphorochloridate (4-N$O_2$PhOP(S)(Cl)OPh, $\underline{1}$) in ethanol, methanol, and aqueous binary mixtures incorporating ethanol, methanol, acetone, and 2,2,2-trifluroethanol (TFE) are reported. Thermodynamic parameters were determined at several temperatures in three representative solvents. The extended Grunwald-Winstein equation was applied to 29 solvents and the correlation coefficient (R) showed 0.959. The sensitivities (l = 1.37 and m = 0.62) are similar to those obtained for diphenyl thiophosphorochloridate (($PhO)_2$PSCl, $\underline{2}$), diphenyl phosphorochloridate (($PhO)_2$POCl, $\underline{3}$), diphenyl phosphinic chloride ($Ph_2$POCl, $\underline{4}$), and diphenyl thiophosphinic chloride ($Ph_2$PSCl, $\underline{5}$). The solvolytic reaction mechanism of 4-nitrophenyl phenyl thiophosphorochloridate ($\underline{1}$) is suggested to be proceeded a $S_N$2 process as previously reported result. The activation enthalpies are shown as slightly low as ${\Delta}H^{\neq}\;=\;9.62\;to\;11.9\;kcal{\cdot}mol^{-1}$ and the activation entropies are shown as slightly high negative value as ${\Delta}S^{\neq}\;=\;-34.1\;to\;-44.9\;cal{\cdot}mol^{-1}{\cdot}K^{-1}$ compared to the expected $S_N$2 reaction mechanism. Kinetic solvent isotope effects are accord with a typical $S_N$2 mechanism as shown in the range of 2.41 in MeOH/ MeOD and 2.57 in $H_2O/D_2O$ solvent mixtures.

  • The combination of mechano-chemical activation and Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) has widened the possibilities for both methods. For YBCO systems the investigation showed that a short-term mechano-chemical activation of initial powders before SHS leads to single-phase and ultra-fine products. A new technique for preparation ultra-fine high-temperature superconductors of YBCO composition with a grain size d <1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ is developed. The specific feature of the technique is formation of the YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$ crystalline lattice directly from an X-ray amorphous state arising as a result of mechanical activation of the original oxide mixture. The technique allows the stage of formation of any intermediate reaction products to be ruled out. X-ray and magnetic studies of ultra-fine high temperature superconductors (HTS) are carried out. Dimension effects associated with the microstructure peculiarities are revealed. A considerable enhancement of inter-grain critical currents is found to take place in the ultra-fine samples.fine samples.

스위치드 연산증폭기를 이용한 CMOS 단일비트 3차 델타시그마 변조기 설계 (Design of a CMOS Single Bit 3rd Order Delta-Sigma Modulator with Switched Operational Amplifier)

  • 본 논문은 오디오 신호 처리 시스템의 저속 고해상도 ADC를 위해 설계된 CMOS 단일비트 3차 델타시그마 변조기를 설계하였다. 변조기 내 적분기에 사용되는 연산증폭기의 전력소모를 감소시키기 위해서 연산증폭기내 바이어스 전류원에 차단/동작 기능을 하는 스위치를 장착시켰다. 또한 변조기내 스위치의 위치를 최적화 하여 기존의 스위칭 방식에서 발생하는 주파수 특성 변화를 최소화하였다. 단일 비트 3차 델타시그마 변조기 구조를 선택하였으며, 제안한 델타 시그마 변조기의 성능측정결과 전원 전압 3.3V, 샘플링 주파수 6.4MHz, 입력주파수 20KHz에서 17.1mW의 전력소모를 나타냈다. SNDR은 84.3dB, 유효비트수는 13.5비트를 나타내었다.

  • 현재 상용화되어 있는 PDP용 형광체의 물성에 있어서 청색 형광체는 열화, 색도변화, 휘도, 그리고 녹색 형광체는 잔광시간과 색순도, 적색 형광체의 경우에는 색순도에 대한 개선이 필요한 것으로 알려져 있다. 그 중 녹색 형광체로 Willemite 구조의 ZnSiO:Mn 형광체의 경우 발광효율은 우수하나 반면에 잔광시간이 길고 색순도(color purity)가 좋지 않다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미세조정 조합화학기법을 이용하여 PDP에 적합한 새로운 고효율 형광체를 개발하였다. 화학적으로 정량인 가돌리늄 인산염(gadolinium phosphorous) 대신 인산을 과잉으로 첨가하여 탐색한 다음 과잉인산(excess phosphorous) 첨가 조성을 유지한 채로 가돌리늄(gadolinium)의 일정분율을 이트륨(yttrium)으로 치환하였다. 그 결과 최적 형광체 조성은 (G $d_{0.74}$ $Y_{0.11}$T $b_{0.15}$) $P_{1.15}$ $O_{{\delta}}$이였으며, 현재 상용화된 Z $n_2$ $SiO_4$:Mn 형광체에 비해 상대적으로 높은 발광효율을 나타내었으며, 잔광시간도 줄일 수 있게 되었다.

세라믹 코팅된 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V강의 피로균열성장 특성 (Fatigue crack growth properties of ceramic coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel)

  • Fatigue tests were performed to investigate the effect of ceramic coatings as in TiN and TiCN on fatigue crack growth properties of ceramic coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel with different coating thickness in laboratory air conditions. The experimental results are described with respect to a Paris equation, da/dN=C(.DELTA.K)$^{m}$ , where the crack growth rate of coated specimens provided as similar growth rate as that of the uncoated specimen regardless of coating thickness. Furthermore, it was observed that the type of coating layer had virtually no effect on crack growth rate in the full region of stress intensity factor range. And it was also appeared that the final crack length of TiCN coated specimens was short compared to that of TiN coated, and the substrate specimens, in which it was inferred due to lowering the toughness of coated material from high hardness of TiCN coating layer itself.

Microcystis와 공존하는 동물플랑크톤 군집의 계절변화 및 안정동위원소비의 차이 (Isotopic Differences among Zooplankton Taxa and Seasonal Variation of Zooplankton Community Coexisting with Microcystis)

  • 본 연구에서는 부영양한 저수지에서 동물플랑크톤 군집의 계절변동을 파악하고 안정동위원소분석을 통해 동물플랑크톤이 Microcystis 섭식을 회피한다는 기존의 가설을 확인하고자 하였다. 요각류는 Cyclops vicinus (C. vicinus)에서 Thermocyclops taihokuensis (T. taihokuensis)로 우점종의 천이를 보였다. 계절변동에 따른 동물플랑크톤군집 밀도는 Microcystis의 밀도가 가장 높았던 6월에 가장 낮았고, 식물플랑크톤의 밀도 및 Chl. $\alpha$ 농도는 7월에 낮게 나타났다. 지각류와 요각류 사이에 $\delta^{13}C$$\delta^{15}N$는 각각 최대 $12^{\circ}/_{\circ\circ}$$4^{\circ}/_{\circ\circ}$의 차이를 보였으며, 이는 왕송저수지에서 지각류(D. galeata와 B. longirostris)와 요각류(C. vicinus)는 서로 다른 영양단계에 위치하고 다른 에너지원을 이용함을 시사하였다. Microcystis와 동물플랑크톤(지각류와 요각류)의 $\delta^{13}C$ 사이에 보이는 $3{\sim}7^{\circ}/_{\circ\circ}$의 차이는 동물플랑크톤이 Microcystis를 직접 이용하기 어렵다는 기존의 가설을 지지하였다.

  • The lightness of components required on marine and shipbuilding industry is requiring high strength of components. In particular, fatigue failure phenomena, which happen in metal, bring on danger in human life and property. Therefore, antifatigue failure technology takes an important part of current industries. In this study, it was investigated about endurance and fatigue crack propagation rate of according to stress ratio of SMAW commonly using for welding structures in present. Fatigue crack propagation rate(da/dN) of low load(R=0.1) was lower than of high load(R=0.6) for piping weld. And in stage I, ${\Delta}$Kth, the threshold stress intensity factor of the weld under heavy load is higher than under small load. Fatigue life shows more improvement in the weld of stress ratio R=0.l than in the weld of stress ratio R=0.6.

Gamakamide-E, a Strongly Bitter Tasting Cyclic Peptide with a Hydantoin Structure from Cultured Oysters Crassostrea gigas

  • A new cyclic peptide (six-membered amino acid), gamakamide-E (L-Leu-L-Met (SO)-L-Me-Phe-L-Leu-D-Lys-L-Phe), was isolated as a strongly bitter tasting compound from cultured oysters, Crassostrea gigas. The molecular formula of $C_{43}H_{61}N_7O_8S$ was deduced from high resolution fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (HR FAB-MS) ($[M+H]^+$ m/z 836.4356 ${\Delta}$= -2.4 mmu). Its unique structure including a hydantoin structure was firstly elucidated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. Stereochemistries of constituent amino acids were determined by chiral high performanced liquid chromatography analysis of natural and synthesized peptides.
