  • This paper deals with the fabrication and characteristic experiment of a high-Tc superconducting (HTSC) power supply using by Hi-2223 tape. The purpose of this research is to apply real HTSC load. This system consists of two heaters, an electromagnet, a Bi-2223 solenoid and a Bi-2223 pancake load. In the experiment, 17sec and 8.5sec were used for pumping period. Mechanism of the superconducting switch is used for heater-trigger. In experiment, the pumping-current has reached about 1.2A.

  • The solar radiation, inner temperature of the tilted box and the amount of condensed water were measured to find the most effective purified water production system. The inner temperature of the tilted box was related with solar radiation that was affected by sunshine and cloud. With analyzing those relationships of the solar radiation, inner box temperature, the angle of tilted boxes and amounts of water condensation optimal collecting system area could be calculated.

  • 본 연구에서는 화장품, 세제, 쌀과 같은 생활용품들의 효율적인 관리를 위해 IoT 기기를 활용하여 무게를 감지하여 자동 주문을 하는 시스템을 제안한다. Hardware에서 생활용품의 무게를 지속적으로 sensing하고 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy)를 통해 Android Application으로 데이터를 전송한다. Android Application에서 생활용품들의 상태를 저장하고 일정 무게 이하로 감소 시 Push Alarm으로 사용자에게 상품 재주문 제안 및 상품 추천을 한다. 이를 바탕으로 생활용품 관리의 번거로움을 줄이고 사용자의 생활물품의 소모 양상을 데이터화 할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a multi-functional control module is developed to improve the confidence of CO2 welding. In the developed system, a main controller of an automatic welding system including of I/O port is modulated by microprocessor. The developed multi-functional control module is familiarized to the conventional automatic welding system. Therefore, the confidence of CO2 welding is improved when the main controller of an automatic welding system is broken down.

  • 합1성단락시험에서 차단기의 정확한 아크시간을 검증하기 위해서는 재점호 회로가 필요하게 된다. 재점호장치는 전류원회로의 전류영점 직전에 기울기가 매우 큰 전류를 주입하여 차단기가 시험전류를 차단할 수 없게 하여 차단기의 아크시간을 직접시험과 동일하게 유지시키는 장치로서 본 장치를 구동하는 핵심장치는 고속도로 고전압 및 대전류를 투입하는 스파크 갭 스위치이다. 현재까지 이러한 용도의 스파크 갭 스위치가 개발되어 사용되고 있지만 본 논문에서는 고속 투입스위치로 진공차단기의 인터럽터를 사용하고, 시동용 전원으로 직류 12V만을 사용하여 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 재점호 장치용 스파크 갭 스위치의 설계, 제작 및 시운전 결과 등에 관해 기술 하였다.

  • 게임 산업은 컴퓨터와 정보통신 기술의 발전으로 인하여 급격하게 성장했으며, 멀티미디어와 엔터테인먼트 산업의 핵심으로 여겨지고 있다. 특히 최근에는 인터넷 기술의 발전으로 온라인 게임에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있으며, 기존의 2차원 RPG 게임 형태로부터, 보다. 사실감을 전달할 수 있는 3차원 RPG나 시뮬레이션 형태의 게임으로 전환되고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 온라인 RPG 게임 컨텐츠를 개발한 사례에 대하여 기술한다. 본 게임은 다수의 참여자가 동시에 접속하여 게임을 진행할 수 있도록 개발되었다.

  • This paper proposes a hi-directional current switch with snubber regeneration using Power MOSFETs and to use a loss-less snubber with switching device to perform soft-switching. It results in not only decreasing switching loss in the device drastically, but also improving input ac current waveform distortion. The computer simulation results show that the input current waveform and show the requirements necessary for the elimination of the 3rd harmonic component. We also show the Procedure to design the parameters of the converter.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems offer pervasive business functionality the applications encompass virtually all aspects of the business. Understanding and managing this pervasiveness will result in a successful and productive business application platform. Because of this pervasiveness, implementations have ranged from great successes to complete failures. This article has two distinctive parts. The first proposes and discusses a systematic process based on consulting experiences of LG CNS (leading information system company in Korea) for ERP selection. Also, the second provides the key factors that are critical to the successful implementation of ERP. The second part reports the results of a study carried out to assess a number of different ERP implementations in different organizations. A case study method of investigation was used, and the experiences of five Korean manufacturing companies were documented. The critical factors in the adoption of ERP are identified as: learning from the experiences of others, appointment of a process innovator, establishment of committees and project teams, training and technical support for the users, and appropriate changes to the organizational structure and managerial responsibilities.

  • In this study, the cause of the acceleration failure of Hyundai Motor's 2.0-liter CRDi engine was analyzed. We tried to find problems through MDA (Measuring Data Analyzer) based on data such as vehicle speed, air intake, and air-fuel ratio obtained during the actual driving process. As a result, it was analyzed that the failure of the EGR valve exceeded the NOx emission standard and caused a decrease in engine output. Through this study, it is possible to reduce the time and cost of unnecessary maintenance and repair, and it is expected that a rapid cause analysis will be possible in the case of new failure diagnosis in the future.

Desalinated underground seawater of Jeju Island (Korea) improves lipid metabolism in mice fed diets containing high fat and increases antioxidant potential in t-BHP treated HepG2 cells

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of desalinated underground seawater (named as 'magma seawater', MSW) of Jeju Island in Korea on lipid metabolism and antioxidant activity. MSW was collected from underground of Han-Dong in Jeju Island, and freely given to high fat diet (HFD)-fed C57BL/6 mice for 10 weeks. Although there were no significant differences in the body weight changes and plasma lipid levels, hepatic triglyceride levels were significantly lower in the MSW group than in the normal tap water (TW)-drunken control group. Furthermore, the activity of fatty acid synthase (FAS) was significantly decreased and carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) activity was increased in MSW group compared to TW group. Similarly, real-time PCR analysis revealed that mRNA expressions of lipogenic genes were lowered in MSW groups compared to the control group. In a morphometric observation on the liver tissue, accumulation of fats was remarkably reduced in MSW group. Meanwhile, in vitro assay, tree radical scavenging activity measured by using diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) was increased in MSW group. The 2'-7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCF-DA) staining followed with fluorescent microscopy showed a low intensity of fluorescence in MSW-treated HepG2 cells, compared to TW-treated HepG2 cells, which indicated that the production of reactive oxygen species by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP) in HepG2 cells was decreased by MSW treatment. The antioxidant effect of MSW on t-BHP-induced oxidative stress in HepG2 cells was supported by the increased activities of intracellular antioxidant enzymes such as catalase and glutathione reductase. From these results, we speculate that MSW has an inhibitory effect on lipogenesis in liver and might play a protective role against cell damage by t-BHP-induced oxidative stress.
