인공에이전트를 이용한 교섭게임에 관한 연구 (Analysis on the Bargaining Game Using Artificial Agents)

  • Over the past few years, a considerable number of studies have been conducted on modeling the bargaining game using artificial agents on within-model interaction. However, very few attempts have been made at study on between-model interaction. This paper investigates the interaction and co-evolutionary process among heterogeneous artificial agents in the bargaining game. We present two kinds of the artificial agents participating in the bargaining game. They play some bargaining games with their strategies based on genetic algorithm (GA) and reinforcement learning (RL). We compare agents' performance between two agents under various conditions which are the changes of the parameters of artificial agents and the maximal number of round in the bargaining game. Finally, we discuss which agents show better performance and why the results are produced.

Novel Architecture of Self-organized Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks

  • Self-organization of distributed wireless sensor nodes is a critical issue in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), since each sensor node has limited energy, bandwidth, and scalability. These issues prevent sensor nodes from actively collaborating with the other types of sensor nodes deployed in a typical heterogeneous and somewhat hostile environment. The automated self-organization of a WSN becomes more challenging as the number of sensor nodes increases in the network. In this paper, we propose a dynamic self-organized architecture that combines tree topology with a drawn-grid algorithm to automate the self-organization process for WSNs. In order to make our proposed architecture scalable, we assume that all participating active sensor nodes are unaware of their primary locations. In particular, this paper presents two algorithms called active-tree and drawn-grid. The proposed active-tree algorithm uses a tree topology to assign node IDs and define different roles to each participating sensor node. On the other hand, the drawn-grid algorithm divides the sensor nodes into cells with respect to the radio coverage area and the specific roles assigned by the active-tree algorithm. Thus, both proposed algorithms collaborate with each other to automate the self-organizing process for WSNs. The numerical and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed dynamic architecture performs much better than a static architecture in terms of the self-organization of wireless sensor nodes and energy consumption.

  • 인지 기반 융합 중첩 네트워크 환경 하에서의 시스템의 성능이 중요한 이슈로 떠오르는 가운데 단말기의 기능성이 좋아짐에 따라 스마트한 지능을 기반으로 접속 자원의 효과적 활용에 적합한 개별 이종 네트워크의 특성분석과 특성을 반영하는 시스템 측면의 접속 최적화가 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기지국의 소형화와 다집적화, 가상화, 지능화가 진행되는 가운데 기지국 hotelling과 같은 기지국 집중화를 통한 통합적 최적화가 가능하므로 이에 대응한 이중 가상 셀 시스템의 특성에 대해 살펴보고 활용도 측면의 성능을 분석하고 향후 다뤄져야 할 사항들을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, smart devices has been spreaded and the definition of RFID/USN(Radio Frequency Identification/Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology has also extended. So, originally, human is an agent of communications but now, 'the things' are also an agent of communication. That is, Internet of Things(IoT). IoT is very big IT infra technology that is based on wire-wireless network technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. However, in reality, IoT service that can provide various meaning and integrate smoothly is not appear yet. To solve these problems of IoT, we implemented Publish/Subscribe system, which operate in Zigbee based wireless sensor network by using MQTT-SN protocol. Moreover, this system can operate with combining MQTT system that is already existed in external Internet network so, extensibility and flexibility aspect is excellent. We show that possibility of IoT services that is combined between different heterogeneous network through the MQTT-SN.

해상멀티대역 네트워크 선택기 시스템 실증 연구 (Indoor Test of a Multi-band Network Selection System for Maritime Networks)

  • 해양 정보통신 기술 발달로 해상에서도 다양한 통신 서비스 요구가 증대됨에 따라 해상 멀티대역 네트워크개념이 도입되고, 이를 위해 이기종 망 간에 최적의 네트워크를 선택하여 통신대역을 전환하는 멀티대역 네트워크 선택기(MNSS) 시스템이 소개되었다. 본 논문에서는 해상멀티대역 네트워크를 위해 개발된 MNSS 시스템의 MNSS 서버, 네트워크 인터페이스, 사용자 응용프로그램을 구현하고, 실내 실험환경 구축을 통해 각 통신대역의 가용상태 갱신, 통신대역 전환, 최적통신대역에서의 데이터통신 기능들을 검증한다.

Stochastic MAC-layer Interference Model for Opportunistic Spectrum Access: A Weighted Graphical Game Approach

  • This article investigates the problem of distributed channel selection in opportunistic spectrum access networks from a perspective of interference minimization. The traditional physical (PHY)-layer interference model is for information theoretic analysis. When practical multiple access mechanisms are considered, the recently developed binary medium access control (MAC)-layer interference model in the previous work is more useful, in which the experienced interference of a user is defined as the number of competing users. However, the binary model is not accurate in mathematics analysis with poor achievable performance. Therefore, we propose a real-valued one called stochastic MAC-layer interference model, where the utility of a player is defined as a function of the aggregate weight of the stochastic interference of competing neighbors. Then, the distributed channel selection problem in the stochastic MAC-layer interference model is formulated as a weighted stochastic MAC-layer interference minimization game and we proved that the game is an exact potential game which exists one pure strategy Nash equilibrium point at least. By using the proposed stochastic learning-automata based uncoupled algorithm with heterogeneous learning parameter (SLA-H), we can achieve suboptimal convergence averagely and this result can be verified in the simulation. Moreover, the simulated results also prove that the proposed stochastic model can achieve higher throughput performance and faster convergence behavior than the binary one.

A Receiver-Aided Seamless And Smooth Inter-RAT Handover At Layer-2

  • The future mobile networks consist of hyper-dense heterogeneous and small cell networks of same or different radio access technologies (RAT). Integrating mobile networks of different RATs to provide seamless and smooth mobility service will be the target of future mobile converged network. Generally, handover from high-speed networks to low-speed networks faces many challenges from application perspective, such as abrupt bandwidth variation, packet loss, round trip time variation, connection disruption, and transmission blackout. Existing inter-RAT handover solutions cannot solve all the problems at the same time. Based on the high-layer convergence sublayer design, a new receiver-aided soft inter-RAT handover is proposed. This soft handover scheme takes advantage of multihoming ability of multi-mode mobile station (MS) to smooth handover procedure. In addition, handover procedure is seamless and applicable to frequent handover scenarios. The simulation results conducted in UMTS-WiMAX converged network scenario show that: in case of TCP traffics for handover from WiMAX to UMTS, not only handover latency and packet loss are eliminated completely, but also abrupt bandwidth/wireless RTT variation is smoothed. These delightful features make this soft handover scheme be a reasonable candidate of mobility management for future mobile converged networks.

Optimal Price Strategy Selection for MVNOs in Spectrum Sharing: An Evolutionary Game Approach

  • The optimal price strategy selection of two bounded rational cognitive mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) in a duopoly spectrum sharing market is investigated. The bounded rational operators dynamically compete to sell the leased spectrum to secondary users in order to maximize their profits. Meanwhile, the secondary users' heterogeneous preferences to rate and price are taken into consideration. The evolutionary game theory (EGT) is employed to model the dynamic price strategy selection of the MVNOs taking into account the response of the secondary users. The behavior dynamics and the evolutionary stable strategy (ESS) of the operators are derived via replicated dynamics. Furthermore, a reward and punishment mechanism is developed to optimize the performance of the operators. Numerical results show that the proposed evolutionary algorithm is convergent to the ESS, and the incentive mechanism increases the profits of the operators. It may provide some insight about the optimal price strategy selection for MVNOs in the next generation cognitive wireless networks.

  • 스마트폰 시장의 확대와 수요가 급증함에 따라 무선 트래픽이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 Wi-Fi를 이용하여 무선 트래픽을 분산하려 한다. 스마트폰에 3G 무선 인터페이스와 Wi-Fi, 블루투스 등의 여러 인터페이스가 있어 활용할 수 있다. 그러나 스마트폰과 기반 네트워크에서 같은 인터페이스 상에서의 핸드오버는 지원하지만, 다른 인터페이스 간의 Vertical 핸드오버를 끊김 없이 제공하지 않는다. 이로 인해 사용자들은 서비스 연속성을 지원받을 수 없게 된다. 본 논문은 IEEE 802.21에서 진행된 장치 독립 핸드오버(MIH) 표준에 대하여 기술한다. 802.21 MIH 표준은 이기종 네트워크간 심리스한 수직 핸드오버 서비스를 목적으로 진행되었다. 현재 802.21 표준은 이미 완성단계이고 관련기술의 이슈사항에 대하여 부가적인 부분을 표준화하고 있다.

이종 네트워크 간 에너지 효율적인 핸드오버를 지원하는 모바일 P2P 메시지 플랫폼 (A Mobile P2P Message Platform Enabling the Energy-Efficient Handover between Heterogeneous Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는, GPS와 무선랜, 블루투스 등이 탑재된 이동 단말의 비율이 높아지게 됨에 따라, 이동 단말이 갖는 다중 무선 네트워크 기술을 활용하는 모바일 P2P 메시지 플랫폼을 제시한다. 자신과 타 단말의 GPS 정보에 근거하여 메시지 전달 방법을 '직접', '간접', '원거리'로 전달 방식을 구분한다. 근거리 무선 네트워크 접속 기술(radio access technology, RAT)를 사용하는 '직접' 방식보다 수신 단말과의 도달 거리를 늘이기 위해 릴레이 노드를 선정하여 '간접'으로 수신 단말에게 메시지를 전달한다. '직접'이나 '간접' 등의 근거리 RAT를 활용하여 메시지 전달이 불가능한 경우에는 무선 WAN(wide area network) 기술을 사용하는 '원거리' 방식으로 메시지를 전달한다. 적용할 RAT 기술을 선택하는데 있어 GPS 정보를 기반으로 함으로써 네트워크 간 핸드오버를 결정하는데 전력 소모가 적다. 네트워크 시뮬레이터를 이용하여, 메시지 전달 성능과 단말의 이동 속도와 RAT의 도달 거리에 따른 핸드오버 감지 오차에 대한 평가를 시행하였고, 제안하는 기법의 우수한 성능을 확인하였다. 제안하는 메시지 전달 기법을 포함하는 메시지 플랫폼을 스마트 폰에 실제 구현하였다. 실제 에너지 소모량 관찰과 수식적 모델링을 통해, 제안한 플랫폼을 탐재한 경우와 탑재하지 않은 경우에 대해 전력 소모를 비교하였으며, 본 플랫폼을 탑재한 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우들에 비해 전력 소모가 크게 낮음을 확인하였다.
