We investigated 23 lactic acid bacteria isolated from Korean breast milk-fed infant in order to select strains which show superior anti-allergic effect. The candidates were cultivated and then we obtained dried powders of tyndallized cells and supernatant concentrate separately. Screening was carried out with down-regulation of interleukin (IL) 4 and up-regulation of IFN-${\gamma}$ in mouse splenocytes. As a result of the screening, we selected Lactobacillus rhamnosus IDCC 3201 (RH3201) for oral feeding to ovalbumin-sensitized BALB/c mice. Oral administration of RH3201 as dead cell bodies and supernatant concentrate suppressed hyper-production of serum immunoglobulin (Ig) E levels compared to vehicle group. Such anti-allergic effects were achieved by improvement of the balance between cytokines produced from type-1 helper T (Th1) and type-2 helper T (Th2) lymphocytes. Therefore, RH3201 has potential to improve atopic symptoms by immunomodulatory effect.

In this paper, we carried out a study on how to find an appropriate helper node for cooperative communications, the role of which is very import to enhance system throughput of wireless communication system. The busy tone cooperative MAC (BT-COMAC) protocol proposed in this paper is a new cooperative MAC protocol with a reactive helper node scheme and maximizes the benefits of existing schemes while making up for their shortcomings. We conducted performance evaluation of this new protocol using computer simulation experiment. System throughput in bps and channel access delay are utilized as performance measures. We used a random way point mobility model where every communication node moves independently one another, and slow fading channel where every communication node decided its transmission rate with received power basis. Numerical results show that the new MAC protocol enhances system throughput as much as 15% of the existing scheme.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify influencing factors on service quality provided by care helpers working for the elderly in long term care. Methods: The data were collected using self-reported questionnaire from 221 care helpers working in long-term care facility or home care service center. The data were analyzed using multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in service quality depending on the health status, intimacy level, pleasure level, job education, and turnover intention. Factors influencing service quality were gender, intimacy level with elderly, type of working place and job satisfaction with $R^2$ value of 17.3%. The most influencing factor was intimacy level (${\beta}$=.249), followed by job satisfaction (${\beta}$=.208), gender (${\beta}$=.170), and type of working place (${\beta}$=.146). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the effort to improve the service quality of care helper should be focused on helping intimacy building between the elderly and the care helper. Also, a more effective way to improve service quality would be intervening for care helpers providing institutional care.

This study was diagnosed the managing of educational progress of homehelper training center proceeded with a goal to improve the proper direction to grasp of the contentment of education programs. In order to attain a research objective, I surveyed 18 charge of education person in homehelper training center. Through the problem of the mananging of homehelper education, I try to show the point for growth of homehelper training. First, the course of the education and training for home helper should be classified in the field of the service activity for home helper. Second, the education centers need to establish the weekend lecture or the night lecture for volunteer with an occupation. Third, the education centers need to division the educational course according a characteristic of student. Fourth, when the course is opened, the number of persons is suitable thirty. Fifth, it needs to add the education contents to establish an attitude with volunteer for elderly people.

T helper (Th) 17 cells have recently been described as a third subset of T helper cells, and have provided new insights into the mechanisms that are important in the development of autoimmune diseases and the immune responses that are essential for effective antimicrobial host defense. Both protective and harmful effects of Th17 responses during infection have been described. In general, Th17 responses are critical for mucosal and epithelial host defense against extracellular bacteria and fungi. However, recent studies have reported that Th17 responses can also contribute to viral persistence and chronic inflammation associated with parasitic infection. It has become evident that the type of microorganisms and the setting in which they trigger the Th17 response determines the outcome of the delicate balancethat exists between Th17 induced protection and immunopathogenesis.

The specific immune response of unripened fruits and ripened fruits of Rubus coreanus Miquel was examined in BALB/C mice. The 70% ethyl alcohol extracts (20 or 100 mg/kg) of unripened fruits (RCE-I) and of ripened fruits (RCE-II) were administered p.o. once a day for 7 days. RCE-I and RCE-II decreased the viability of thymocytes, but increased the viability of splenocytes. Also, RCE-I enhanced the population of helper T and cytotoxic T cells in thymocytes and RCE-II enhanced the population of helper T cells. Furthermore, RCE-I and RCE-II decreased the population of B220/sup +/ cells and Thy1/sup +/ cells and helper T cells in splenocytes. In a general way, the immunosuppressive action of RCE-I was more potent than those of RCE-II. These results suggest that RCE-I and RCE-II have a regulative action of immune response via decrease the viability of thymocytes and increase the viability of splenocytes.

is a service providing story synopses that match user's query. This paper presents a classification of character types by clustering of character tendencies found in the user log of . We also present a visualization method of showing genre-action relationships to each character type, and investigate the genre-action relationships of the major character types. We found that a small number of character types can represent more than half of the character tendencies and the character types tend to have a relationship to particular genres and actions. According to this properties, it would be desirable to provide supports for creative writing classified by character types.

The purpose of this study is to show typology of Non Player Character(NPCs) and to look out what narrative functions of NPCs are served in Massively Multi-player Online Role-Playing Game(MMORPG). As the relationship with player characters and the propensity of actions, NPCs are classified 4types; passive helper, active helper, passive antagonist, active antagonist. Each type performs different functions of game narrative. Especially passive helper functions as a essential glue of movement in game world and makes the chain of quest narratives. Active antagonist functions as the cause of space perspective and creates dramatic effect of game narrative. Those functions make spacial, dimensional and extensible game narrative.

This study has been undertaken to empirically test how the level of information Home Helpers have about their client and the hypothesis that home-helpers' expertise about their service provided to their clients is expected to positively affect their assessment of service provided to clients. Main results of this study are as follows : First, home-helpers' knowledge, skill, and information about clients is positively related to their assessment of service provided to clients. Home-helpers' information about clients plays a more important role than knowledge and skills in the process of assessing the services provided to clients. After maintaining that the hypothesis is empirically confirmed, the author discusses the implications of empirical findings.

is a service providing story synopsis that matches user's query. This paper analyzes the user log of and shows the tendency distribution of user creation in comparison to stories in database. We also investigate the log to see possible improvements on search method. This paper proposes a concept of Story Map, in which the query-answer information is projected into spatial coordinates, and a new story search UI based on it. Using the Story Map, users are able to see entire spatial distribution of story database so that they can quickly and intuitively find a story on the map.
