재가노인의 건강문제와 보건ㆍ복지 서비스 지원 실태에 관한 연구 (Health Problems and Support from the Health & Welfare Service in the Elderly at Home)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify health problems and support received from the health and welfare service using MDS-HC(Minimun Data Set for Home Care) in the aged living at home. Method: Eighty-one elderly persons were selected from those listed in community-welfare service centers in Seoul and Kyunggi Province between December 2002 and January 2003. Result: Eleven health problems per elderly person on average were identified, and the frequent care needs were in order: preventive health measure, health promotion, visual function, depression & anxiety, communication disorders, social function, pain, environmental assessment, oral health, cognition and falls. The number of health problems by the level of ADL was ‘ADL 1(Independence)’ 9.87, ‘ADL 2(Partial independence)’ 12.78, ‘ADL 3(Dependence)’ 13.73. Utilization of formal health & welfare services among the elderly was ‘meals on wheels’ 40.7%, ‘home helper’ 38.2%, ‘visiting of social welfare worker’ 21.0%, ‘physical therapy’ 19.6%, ‘day care center’ 12.3%, ‘volunteer's service’ 9.9%, ‘home visiting care’ 3.7%, ‘occupational therapy’ 3.7%, and ‘speech therapy’ 2.5%. Conclusion: The results suggest that using the MDS-HC 2.0 is applicable to help decide criteria for both health and welfare service supplied to the elderly.

Crosstalk between Adipocytes and Immune Cells in Adipose Tissue Inflammation and Metabolic Dysregulation in Obesity

  • Recent findings, notably on adipokines and adipose tissue inflammation, have revised the concept of adipose tissues being a mere storage depot for body energy. Instead, adipose tissues are emerging as endocrine and immunologically active organs with multiple effects on the regulation of systemic energy homeostasis. Notably, compared with other metabolic organs such as liver and muscle, various inflammatory responses are dynamically regulated in adipose tissues and most of the immune cells in adipose tissues are involved in obesity-mediated metabolic complications, including insulin resistance. Here, we summarize recent findings on the key roles of innate (neutrophils, macrophages, mast cells, eosinophils) and adaptive (regulatory T cells, type 1 helper T cells, CD8 T cells, B cells) immune cells in adipose tissue inflammation and metabolic dysregulation in obesity. In particular, the roles of natural killer T cells, one type of innate lymphocyte, in adipose tissue inflammation will be discussed. Finally, a new role of adipocytes as antigen presenting cells to modulate T cell activity and subsequent adipose tissue inflammation will be proposed.

어장작업 개선을 위한 소형 크레인 조작제어장치 개발 (Development of Small Crane Control System to Improve Fishery Operations)

  • 건설현장에서의 포크레인과 같이 어장 작업을 위한 수산작업용 조력기로서 어장관리기가 필수적이다. 기존의 어장관리기의 제어방식이 ON/OFF제어에 기반을 두고 있어 급조작시 집게에 매달린 양식제품이 흔들리는 현상의 문제점이 발생되고 있다. 이는 심할 경우 작업자에게 위협을 하는 경우도 발생되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 흔들림을 감소시킬 수 있는 마이컴 기반의 조작제어장치를 개발한다. 본 논문에서는 어장관리기의 유압제어 특성, 제어기의 설계 방법 그리고 제어 알고리즘 개발에 대하여 기술한다. 제안하는 시스템을 어장관리기에 적용하여 개선 전 후 흔들림의 개선정도의 성능평가를 수행한다.

Th17 Responses Are not Induced in Dextran Sodium Sulfate Model of Acute Colitis

  • Dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) is a widely used chemical model for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It is thought that imbalances in the T helper (Th) cell subsets contribute to IBD. Recent studies suggest that the acute DSS-colitis model is polarized toward a Th1/Th17 profile based on RT-PCR analysis of colonic tissues. In the current study we determined whether colonic Th cells from DSS-colitis mice were skewed toward the Th17 profile. Mice were treated with 5% DSS for 7 days and colonic T cells isolated and examined for production of IFN-${\gamma}$ (Th1 cell), IL-4 (Th2 cell) and IL-17 (Th17 cell) by intracellular flow cytometry. We found that the percentage of colonic Th17 cells were similar to non-treated controls but the percentage of Th1 cells were elevated in DSS-colitis mice. These results suggest that in the acute DSS-colitis model the colonic Th cells exhibit a Th1 profile and not a Th17 profile.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 주사바늘을 이용하여 종자를 흡입하고 트레이 상부에서 배기하여 트레이의 셀에 종자를 파종하고 있는 방식의 자동 파종 시스템에 대하여, 작업 능률을 향상시키기 위하여 진공상태의 드럼에 종자를 흡입시켜 회전하면서 트레이에 종자를 배출하게 되는 고속의 시스템을 구현하였다. 트레이를 이송시켜주는 컨베이어 벨트는 상부의 부하의 변화 또는 장치의 마모 등 시간이 지남에 따라 속도가 변할 수 있으므로 속도에 맞추어 드럼의 회전 속도를 자동으로 제어하기 위한 알고리즘을 구현하고 구현된 알고리즘에 따라 드럼을 회전시키기 위한 스테핑 모터의 펄스를 제어하는 회로를 구성하여 시스템을 설계하였다.

죽력(竹瀝)이 T-lymphocytes 및 복강(腹腔) Macrophage에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen on T-lymphocytes and Peritoneal Macrophages)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate effects of Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen(BCL) on T-lymphocytes and peritoneal macrophages in mice. The apoptosis and subpopulation of T-lymphocytes were tested using a flow cytometer. The phagocytic activity of mouse peritoneal macrophage was tested using a luminometer. Nitric oxide production was tested using a Griess reagents. BCL induced T-lymphocytes apoptosis. BCL increased $T_H$ cells population and decreased $T_C$ cells population of T-lymphocyte, but did not affect splenocytes subpopulation. BCL increased nitric oxide production and phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophage in mice. These results suggest that BCL regulates the immune system in consequence of an increase in helper T cell population and macrophages activation.

동충하초(冬蟲夏草)추출물이 Ovalbumin으로 유도된 천식(喘息)의 Cytokine에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Cordyceps sinensis Water Extract on the Cytokine in Ovalbumin-induced Asthma Mouse)

  • Cordyceps sinensis has been clinically used for the treatment of recovering fatigue, promoting the production of body fluid and qi, resolving sputum and arresting cough. Recent studies showed that Cordyceps sinensis produced immune-modulatory, anticarcinogenic and antioxidative effects. But, there are lack of studies regarding the effects of Cordyceps sinensis on the asthma. So, this study was performed to investigate the oral administrated effects of this herb against the disease. Asthma was induced to Balb/c mouse by i.p. injection and aerosol immunization with ovalbumin, and the change of the eosinophil number in the bronchoalveolar avage fluid(BALF) was observed. Concentrations of Interleukine-4(IL-4), Interleukine-5(IL-5) in BALF and splenocyte were assessed by ELISA, ImmunoglobinG(IgG) and ImmunoglobinE(IgE) from serum were calculated by same method. We found that the effects of Cordyceps sinensis in asthma mouse was implicated in reductions of IL-4, IL-S released from type2 T helper (Th2) cell, and decreases of IgE from plasma cell. These findings suggest that Cordyceps sinensis can produce anti-asthmatic effect, which may play a role in allergen-induced asthma therapy.

ANSYS Workbench를 활용한 타이어 구조 해석 (Structural Analysis of a Tire using an ANSYS Workbench)

  • Structural analysis of a tire is done using a commercial software, ANSYS Workbench. The properties of rubber of the tire is represented using a Mooney-Rivlin model. The bead in the tire is made of structural steel. 3D CAD model of the tire is obtained from a commercial CAD-specialized software, CATIA. Using an imported 3D CAD geometric model, a mesh system with fifty thousand nodes is constructed using ANSYS. A time-variant point force is applied to the rim of the tire, and the deformation of the tire is computed. It is found that both bending and twisting of the tire are observed where the point force is applied. The deformation of the tire is asymmetric, which results in the help of ripping the tire using the helper. It is also found that the deformation undergoes linearly with the applied force. When the force is larger than 1500N, then the deformation becomes larger than the half of the thickness of the tire. In the future, a more realistic rubber model will be applied and validated with the measured data.

건국신화를 아기장수설화의 서사각색으로 보는 새로운 관점: 건국시조의 사회부조화성(社會不調和性)과 분리(分離)·이주(移住)의 문제 (A new viewpoint to regulate foundation myth as Akijangsu legend narrative's antistructure)

  • This study was attempted to suggest a new viewpoint to regulate foundation myth as Akijangsu legend narrative's antistructure. The problem is that Akijangsu legend has been regulated as reversed narrative of foundation myth in precedent research history. Following this viewpoint, it is impossible to explain context that Gangchaeyoon's Akijangsu narrative is collected in Sejong's sovereign myth. But Gangchaeyoon is changed as helper to found ideology order and his Akijangsu narrative is collected in sovereign myth's context. Therefore in this point it is necessary to sound out foundation possibility of new thesis the found myth is reversed narrative of Akijangsu legend. Choosing this standpoint, it is possible to regulate Sejong's sovereign myth as narrative dramatization of successful Akijangsu legend. At the same time it is possible to regulate Cheongkijun as Akijangsu that was situated in Sejong's sovereign myth as antagonist, competing and failing with Sejong to replace existing order by own ideological order. This study investigated that found myth is reversed narrative of Akijangsu legend.

무선 카메라 모듈과 Window Phone을 이용한 시각장애인 보조 프로그램 개발 (Blind Helper program development by using Wireless Camera and Window Phone)

  • 현대사회는 시각장애인에 대한 복지가 부족하다. 예를 들어 유도블럭의 홰손, 지폐의 점자처리의 모호함 등 시각장애인을 위해 만들어진 복지조차 사용하기 어려운게 현실이다. 그래서 우리는 무선카메라와 Window Phone을 이용하여 상기 불편함을 해소하기 위하여 이 프로젝트를 시작하였다. Guide Line Detection은 앞을 못 보는 시각장애인에게 무선카메라에 보이는 영상에서 유도블럭을 찾아 시각장애인과의 거리를 음성으로 알려준다. Bill Recognition은 지폐를 인식하여 음성으로 알려준다. 길 안내 기능은 길을 찾아가지 못하는 시각장애인에게 특정 지점마다 길 안내정보를 등록하고, 등록된 정보는 시각장애인이 실시간으로 길 안내를 받을 수 있다. 음성인식은 기기를 사용하기 힘든 시각장애인들에 대한 접근성을 높이기 위해 WinPhone Application이 제공하는 모든 기능을 흔들기와 음성만으로 사용할 수 있도록 제공한다. 무선카메라의 화질과 Window Phone의 GPS 불규칙적인 오차 때문에 많은 시행착오가 있었지만 무선카메라는 웹 캠으로, GPS오차는 BingMap API의 GPS 가상 좌표로 대체하여 프로젝트를 마칠 수 있었다.
