Astragali Radix(AR), one of the strong tonic herbs, is known to improve immunological responses in mice and human. In this study, AR's ai-reinforcing effect was examined in the context of CD4/sup +/ T cells' TCR/CD3 induced activation responses. In order to evaluate the direct effect of AR on helper T cells, CD4/sup +/ T cells are isolated using magnetic bead and their proliferation and CD69 expression in AR treated medium were assessed with anti-CD3/anti-CD28 activation for 48h. CD4 T cells' proliferation was slightly increased but there was little effect on CD69 expression. RT PCR and ELISA equally demonstrated that IL-2 and IL-4 production was increased but IFN-ν was down-regulated. This shows AR ethanol extract favors Th2 cytokine profile under neutral conditions.

The purpose of this study is to investigate housewife's housework time and the expenditure for time-saving goods and service at the lifecycle stage and to identify the relationship between demographic characteristics and these two variables. The data is collected by using questionnare distributed to 412 housewives living in Seoul and around new two cities. The data is analyzed using Mean Frequency Percentile One-way ANOVA Pearson's Correlation and Regression,l The result of this research is as follows; 1. Housewife's housework time has significant relationship with the lifecycle stages (p<0.01) And the most influencial factor to it is housewife's employment and the next are domestic helper monthly household income and housewofe's age(p<0.01) 2. The expenditure for time-saving has most significiantly related to the lifecycle stages. And the other influencial factors to it are houswife's employment monthly household income and housewife's age(p<0.001) The explanatory power of al variables is 36%.

The purpose of this study explores the meaning of shopping and shopping behavior of consumer under the perception of time pressure. In this study, qualitative methods such as participation observation, depth interview, focus group interview were used. The major findings are as follows : First, consumer under the perception of time pressure defined shopping is mainly' grocery purchasing'. Second, they go shopping on weekend, in familiar store and buy the same kind of goods. Like this, their shopping patterns appear fixed type. Third, this study ascertained proposed time management strategies applied to shopping. Finally, a place of residence, driving or not, house helper, children and standard of family influence on consumer's shopping behavior additionally.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Kami boatang(KBT) on the immune cells in Balb/c mice. KBT (500mg/kg) was administerd p.o. once a day for 7 days. KBT enhanced the proliferation of thymocytes and splenocytes. KBT enhanced the subpopulation of helper T(Th) cells, but did not affect the subpopulation of Thyl/B220 cells and Th/Tc cells in splenocytes. KBT enhanced the production of ${\gamma}$-interferon and interleukin-2 in thymocytes, but decreased the production of interleukin-4. KBT enhanced the production of ${\gamma}$-interferon, interleukin-2 and interleukin-4 in splenocytes and serum. KBT suppressed the production of nitric oxide, and enhanced the phagocytic activity in peritoneal macrophages. These results suggest that KBT has a potent activity on the immune response via the increase of the production of cytokines and phagocytic activity in vivo.

매추리 유래 가금 adenovirus인 QBV로 부터 CsCl을 사용한 균질밀도분배원심분리법으로 AAAV의 분리를 시도하였으며, 분리된 바이러스의 순수성을 전자현미경 및 혈청학적인 방법을 통하여 증명하였으며 순수 분리된 AAAV를 항원으로 사용한 혈청반응을 개발하였다. 즉, CsCl의 밀도 1.38 및 $1.42gm/cm^3$의 분획들은 순수한 AAAV이었으며 $1.42gm/cm^3$의 분획은 토끼에서 양성혈청제조용 면역원으로 1.38 및 $1.42gm/cm^3$의 분획은 혈청반응용 표준항원으로 사용하였다. AAAV 표준항원 및 가토 양성혈청계는 MDV, IBDV, ITV 및 "helper"인 가금 adenovirus와의 교차반응이 없었으며 혈청학적인 특이성이 인정되었다. 또한 상기 혈청학적 반응을 이용하여 AAAV의 동정은 물론 AAAV에 대한 닭의 항체검출을 가능하게 하였다.

With the wide deployment of biometric authentication systems, several issues pertaining security and privacy of the biometric template have gained great attention from the research community. To resolve these issues, a number of biometric template protection methods have been proposed. However, the design of a template protection method to satisfy four criteria, namely diversity, revocability and non-invertibility is still a challenging task, especially performance degradation when template protection method is employed. In this paper, we propose a novel method to generate a revocable minutiae-based fingerprint template. The proposed method consists of feature extraction from fingerprint minutiae pairs, quantization, histogram binning, binarization and eventually binary bit-string generation. The contributions of our method are two fold: alignment-free and good performance. Various experiments on FVC2004 DB1 demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

최근 여러 상용 기계번역 시스템들이 발표되고 있다. 하지만 아직은 많은 시스템들이 오역된 결과를 출력하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 오역 중에서 시제처리 때문에 발생하는 오류에 중점을 둔다. 본 논문에서는 한국어의 시제를 영어의 현재, 과거, 미래, 현재완료 과거완료 미래완료 현재진행 과거진행, 미래진행, 현재완료진행, 과거완료진행, 미래완료진행 등 12시제와 비교한다. 이와 함께 한국어 시제의 의미를 분석하고, 시제의 구조를 개념그래프에 기반 하여 기술한다. 실험에서는 시제가 포함된 문장을 입력받아 개념그래프로 변환하는 프로그램을 구현하고 그 결과를 기술한다.

The present study were carried out to investigate the effects of Vomitoxin(Deoxynivalenol, DON) induced dysregulation of IgA synthesis. The data presented here demonstrate that exposure to dietary DON increases serum IgA and concurrently decreases IgG and IgM. Peyer's path(PP) and splenocytes from mice fed dietary DON produced increased IgA in mitogen stimulated and macrophage(MØ) perform essential role for Ig synthesis and was affected by the presence of DON. The synthesis and secretion of IgM and IgG under the presence of DON do not require T cell helper activity, whereas those of IgA do require such activity. These results suggest that dietary DON alters the regulation of IgA production and may act as an immunostimulator.

인터넷 소프트웨어 개발자는 인터넷 보안 소프트웨어, 네트워크 실습 교육용 소프트웨어 등의 다양한 서비스 개발을 위해, 데이터 링크 계층의 프레임에 직접 접근하는 방법을 요구한다. 이러한 개발자를 위해, Windows 2000은 사용자 계층에서 인터넷 관련 네트워크 자원에 접근할 수 있는 Winsock, NPP, Internet Protocol Helper API를 지원한다. 하지만, 개발자가 이러한 API, 특히 Winsock API를 통해 직접 데이터 링크 계층의 프레임에 접근하는 데에는 한계가 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 NDIS Library를 이용하여 일반 개발자가 손쉽게 데이터 링크 계층의 프레임에 접근할 수 있는 packet driver API를 설계하였다. API를 구성하는 각 클래스는 계층적 구조로 설계하였으며 Visual C++를 사용하여 구현하였다.
