Random hexapeptide library on the surface of filamentous bacteriophage was constructed using the SurfZAP vector. The size of the library was approximately 105. The peptide insert was flanked by two cysteines to constrain the peptide structure with a disulfide bond. This library was screened for the topoisomerase II binding peptide. Dramatic enrichment of the fusion phage over the VCS M13 helper phage was demonstrated by bio-panning affinity selection.

6M-MuLV mutants containing deldtions around the putative packaging signal were constructed by using recombinant DNA technique and transfected into NIH/3T3 cell. 2 of 6 mutants can not be packaged into virions even in the presence of the wild type helper virus. The boundary between the packagible and the non-packagible genome is located around Pvu I site, 421 nucleotide downstream from the 5' end of M-MuLV genome. 10 base pair inverted repeat sequence (GAGUCCAAAA) which can make stem structure around Pvu Isite could be the putative packaging signal.

This study has conducted to analyze the effects of funeral service of aid companies on customer satisfaction. The study got following results by collecting and analyzing 120 customers who performed a funeral service. The results indicated that overall satisfaction of a serviced commodity, linguistic service of a funeral commissioner, and behavioral service of a funeral helper affected on reuse intent.

We sampled 167 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade students to assess who, why, and in what situations they asked for help when they had problems in math class. Results indicated that students generally perferred(??) classmates to the teacher as helpers but they saw the teacher as more likely to facilitate learning. Second graders perceived a closer personal relationship with their teacher than sixth graders. At the upper grades, student were more likely to report asking for assistance if they thought that other students also needed assistance.

Palplus system is a new European 16:9 wide screen TV format which has a full compatibility with standard PAL and the system has a advantage of improving picture quality by the reduction of cross color and cross luminance as well as making use of the full horizontal luminance bandwidth of the PAL system. We implemented European 16:9 PALplus Digital decoder(625/50/2:1) system using SVP(Serial Video Processor) IC and discrete helper demodulator.

This study was done to evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of KSDBT. KSDBT significantly enhanced the lymphocyte proliferation through 3H thymidine uptake and also increased T and T helper cell. It upregulated IL-2, IL-12(p35, p40) and INF-${\gamma}$. NO and carbon clearance were significantly increased by KSDBT. These results indicate KSDBT exert antitumor activity by immunomodulation of cytokines.

Using a Tn5-Mob system, pEA9 was characterized as a self-transmissible plasmid carrying a kanamycin resistance marker. The self-transfer frequencies of pEA9 varied greatly depending on pH values. The transfer frequency was about $4\times 10^{-5}$ at pH 5, that was 10 times higher than one at pH 6.5. With a helper plasmid, transfer frequencies were increased about $10^{4}$ times than the frequencies obtained without it.

단순한 데이터는 파일 형태로 관리할 수 있지만 조직화된 대량의 데이터를 효율적으로 다루기 위해서는 데이터베이스가 필요하다. 안드로이드 운영체제는 SQLite 라이브러리를 포함하고 있어 별도의 설정이 없더라도 데이터베이스를 이용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 SQLite helper 메소드들의 사례를 소개한다.

Controlling balance between T-helper type 1 (Th1) and T-helper type 2 (Th2) plays a pivotal role in maintaining the biological rhythm of Th1/Th2 and circumventing diseases caused by Th1/Th2 imbalance. Interleukin 4 (IL-4) is a Th2-type cytokine and often associated with hypersensitivity-related diseases such as atopic dermatitis and allergies when overexpressed. In this study, we have tried to elucidate the function of 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetyl-rac-glycerol (EC-18) as an essential modulator of Th1/Th2 balance. EC-18 has showed an inhibitory effect on the production of IL-4 in a dose-dependent manner. RT-PCR analysis has proved EC-18 affect the transcription of IL-4. By analyzing the phosphorylation status of Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6), which is a transcriptional activator of IL-4 expression, we discovered that EC-18 induced the decrease of STAT6 activity in several stimulated cell lines, which was also showed in STAT6 reporter analysis. Co-treatment of EC-18 significantly weakened atopy-like phenotypes in mice treated with an allergen. Collectively, our results suggest that EC-18 is a potent Th2 modulating factor by regulating the transcription of IL-4 via STAT6 modulation, and could be developed for immune-modulatory therapeutics.
