차량높이 계측을 통한 차종분류 향상 방안 연구 (Improvement of Vehicle Classification Method using Vehicle Height Measurement)

  • 도로를 주행하는 차량들을 구분하는 차종자료는 도로 및 포장의 설계와 관리 등 여러 분야에서 기초자료로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 차종구분에 차량높이라는 분류기준을 적용하기 위해 주행하는 차량의 높이를 계측할 수 있는 방법을 고안하고 현장에 장비를 설치한 후 실험을 통해서 차량길이와 차량최고높이 자료를 획득하였다. 차량높이 측정과 동시에 동영상을 촬영하여 국토해양부 12종 차종분류에 의거하여 차종분류 기준값을 작성하였다. 영상을 통해 작성된 차종자료 기준값과 측정된 차량길이와 차량높이를 토대로 판별함수를 이용한 차종분류값을 서로 비교한 결과 88.6%의 차종정확도를 확인하였다. 이를 통해 차량높이라는 분류기준을 적용하여 차종분류에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

복잡한 해안지역에서 상세한 지헝고도 자료이용에 따른 대기 유동장의 영향에 관한 수치모의 (Numerical Simulation of Effect on Atmospheric Flow Field Using High Resolution Terrain Height Data in Complex Coastal Regions)

  • Recently air quality modeling studies for industrial complex and large cities located in the coastal regions have been carried out. Especially, the representation of atmospheric flow fields within a model domain is very important, because an adequate air quality simulation requires an accurate portrayal of the realistic three -dimensional wind fields. Therefore this study investigated effect of using high resolution terrain height data in numerical simulation. So the experiments were designed according to the detail terrain height with 3second resolution or not. Case 30s was the experiment using the terrain height data of USGS and Case 3s was the other using the detail terrain height data of Ministry of Environment. The results of experimental were more remarkable. In Case 3s, temperature indicated similar tendency comparing to observational data predicting maximum temperature during the daytime and wind speed made weakly for difference of terrain height.

  • This study investigates the effects of OSRVM mounting location and its configurations such as stalk height and housing height on the aerodynamic performance of the passenger car. In order to validate the flow solver, FLUENT which is very well known commercial code, the flow field around an Ahmed Body was analyzed numerically and compared with the experimental data. The predicted aerodynamic performance and flow patterns around a car show good agreements with the experimental data. Mounting location and stalk height should be designed while OSRVM is mounted on the car to evaluate the aerodynamic performance precisely. Housing height, however, may be designed independent of the car because the aerodynamic interference between housing height and car configuration is negligible.

  • The small anechoic chambers built by many small-/medium-sized companies and universities present difficulties in testing electrically large antennas because the chamber size cannot satisfy the far-field criterion of large antennas. In this paper, a method for Fresnel-region measurement on a cylindrical surface with variation of the measurement height is proposed and verified by both calculations and experiments. We implement the proposed method using a direct far-field measurement system by adding a few supporting structures. The results show good accuracy.

INFLUNCE OF THE TOPOGRAPHIC INTERPOLATION METHODS ON HIGH-RESOLUTION WIND FIELD SIMULATION WITH SRTM ELEVATION DATA OVER THE COASTAL AREA

  • High-resolution mesoscale meteorological modeling requires more accurate and higher resolution digital elevation model (DEM) data. Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) has created 90 m DEM for entire globe and that is freely available for meteorological modeling and environmental applications. In this research, the effects of the topographic interpolation methods on high-resolution wind field simulation in the coastal regions were quantitatively analyzed using Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model with SRTM data. Sensitivity experiments with three different interpolation schemes (four-point bilinear, sixteen-point overlapping parabolic and nearest neighbor interpolation methods) were preformed using SRTM. In WRF modeling with sixteen-point overlapping parabolic interpolation, the coastal line and some small islands show more clearly than other cases. The maximum height of inland is around 140 meters higher, while the minimum of sea height is about 80 meter lower. As it concerns the results of each scheme it seems that the sixteen-point overlapping parabolic scheme indicates the well agreement with observed surface wind data. Consequently, topographic changes due to interpolation methods can lead to the significant influence on mesoscale wind field simulation of WRF modeling.

현장 인발시험을 통한 수목의 한계 전도모멘트 검토 (Investigation of Critical Breaking Moment through Field Tree-Pulling Test)

  • 하천에서 수목의 관리를 위해서는 수목이 홍수에 미치는 영향이나 생태적 특성을 고려하여 대책을 수립하여야 한다. 수목에 의한 수리학적 영향은 통수능 감소와 유수력에 의한 전도로 인한 하류 하천시설물의 기능 저해이다. 현장 인발시험은 수목이 전도될 때의 최대 저항력을 측정하여, 하천 내의 수목이 외력에 저항하는 정도를 파악하기 위해 시행하였다. 수목의 전도모멘트를 파악하기 위한 인자는 수목의 외형적 특성인 수종, 흉고직경, 수고 등이며, 본 연구에서는 전도모멘트와 흉고 직경의 상관관계를 이용하였다. 수목의 한계 전도모멘트는 흉고직경 4.9-32.8 cm의 관목과 교목 100주를 바탕으로 검토되었다. 교목과 관목을 함께 고려할 경우에는 흉고직경과 한계 전도모멘트의 상관관계를 도출하기 어려웠다. 그러나 교목만을 고려할 경우에는 흉고직경과 한계 전도모멘트 사이에 일정한 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다.

Survivability and Growth Performance of Sal (Shorea robusta C.F. Gaertn) with Compatible Associated and Naturally Grown Tropical Timber Tree Species in a Field Experiment at Madhupur Sal Forest, Bangladesh

  • This study aimed to develop a mixed plantation strategy, with Sal (Shorea robusta) as the primary tree species, along with four associated and two naturally grown tree species. Using a randomized complete block design (RCBD), the field experiment involved a control group (mono plantation) and three mixed plantation groups, each replicated four times, totaling 80 replicates (40 in 2019 and 40 in 2020). Survival rate, height and collar diameter growth of seedlings were recorded in both mono and mixed plots in July 2021. Statistical analyses, including one-way ANOVA on means from three replicate plots (p<0.05) and a Tukey HSD test, were conducted to assess differences between treatments. Significant differences in survival rates were found among mono plantations, with TMono04 showing the highest survival rate (88% to 91%). However, there were no significant differences in survival rates among seedlings in mixed plantations. Notably, survival rates were lower in mono plantations compared to mixed plantations. Mono plantations showed significant differences in height growth across both 2019 and 2020 plots, with TMono05 achieving the highest height growth (101.1 cm to 123.6 cm). Similarly, mixed plantations showed significant differences in height growth, with TMixed7 displaying the most substantial growth (116.4 cm to 138.2 cm). Overall, mixed plantations showed greater height growth compared to mono plantations. Significant variations in collar diameter growth were noted in both the 2019 and 2020 mono plantation plots, with TMono01 showing the highest growth (10.2 mm to 11.1 mm). Similarly, among mixed plantations, a significant difference in collar diameter growth was observed, with TMixed4 exhibiting the highest growth (10.4 mm to 13.1 mm). Overall, mixed plantations showed higher collar diameter growth compared to mono plantations. The findings suggest that planting Sal trees alongside compatible associated and naturally grown tree species in the Sal forests is preferable over establishing mono plantations.
