  • Resent research activities and technical trends for UPS(UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY) are reviewed. There are increasing demands for UPS to get mote useful performance. This needs are high-efficiency, high-confidency, high-quality, low-cost. self-diagnosis. maintenance-free, and a wide variety of options. These can be satisfied with high-technology and optimal system coordination. In this paper. according to these demands. a newly developed UPS and a wide variety of options are introduced. Also. the data related are presented.

  • 최근, 친환경 물질이면서 광유에 비하여 발화점이 높은 식물성절연유에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며 식물성절연유변압기의 사용이 미주 등 해외시장에서 급격하게 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 송전급 식물성절연유변압기 개발을 위하여 액체절연 매질의 고전압 시험법을 검토하고 전극 간 이격 거리에 따른 절연파괴 시험을 통하여 식물성절연유의 절연성능을 평가하였다. Weibull 분포와 전계해석을 이용하여 2% 절연파괴전압을 산출하고 전계분포를 계산하여 기존의 변압기 절연매질인 광유와 비교하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 식물성 절연유변압기 제작에 필요한 설계 자료로 활용될 것이다.

  • In a general purpose inverter, a dead-time compensation strategy is very important for reducing torque ripples and acoustic noises of motors. However, in the case of small capacity inverter, the accurate dead-time compensation is hard to be obtained because a removal of the switching noise in a feedback current signal is difficult on condition of low-cost implementation. In this paper, the operation characteristics of the general purpose inverter applied the dead time compensation algorithm using an instantaneous back calculation of the phase angle of the current are presented.

  • This paper presents a LNG Liquefaction cycle configuration using two stages of methane expansion (i.e. spliting into two stages as warm & cold to generate an additional inflection point within a cold composite curve) and a single stage of nitrogen expansion to improve the efficiency of the conventional Methane & Nitrogen Expansion Cycle. In comparison with Double Nitrogen Expansion Cycel and Methane & Nitrogen Expansion Cycle, the cycle efficiency has increased approximately from 13.92 and 13.13 to 12.08 kW/ton/day (8~15% efficiency increase). A Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis based on Net Present Value (NPV) also show an improvement in therms of project NPV, against a minor increment of a CAPEX.
