Asymmetric Metal-Semiconductor-Metal Al0.24Ga0.76N UV Sensors with Surface Passivation Effect Under Local Joule Heating

  • An asymmetric metal-semiconductor-metal Al0.24Ga0.76N ultraviolet (UV) sensor was fabricated, and the effects of local Joule heating were investigated. After dielectric breakdown, the current density under a reverse bias of 2.0 V was 1.1×10-9 A/cm2, significantly lower than 1.2×10-8 A/cm2 before dielectric breakdown; moreover, the Schottky behavior of the Ti/Al/Ni/Au electrode changed to ohmic behavior under forward bias. The UV-to-visible rejection ratio (UVRR) under a reverse bias of 7.0 V before dielectric breakdown was 87; however, this UVRR significantly increased to 578, in addition to providing highly reliable responsivity. Transmission electron microscopy revealed interdiffusion between adjacent layers, with nitrogen vacancies possibly formed owing to local Joule heating at the AlGaN/Ti/Al/Ni/Au interfaces. X-ray photoelectron microscopy results revealed decreases in the peak intensities of the O 1s binding energies associated with the Ga-O bond and OH-, which act as electron-trapping states on the AlGaN surface. The reduction in dark current owing to the proposed local heating method is expected to increase the sensing performance of UV optoelectronic integrated devices, such as active-pixel UV image sensors.

전열을 이용한 금형가열코어의 제작 및 이를 이용한 성형품의 제조와 평가 (Fabrication of electrical heating mold core and evaluation of injection-molded parts by various mold heating methods)

  • 본 연구에서는 전열을 이용한 금형가열 장치를 설계 및 제작하였다. 서로 다른 가열원을 가진 세 가지 방법으로 제작을 하여 시간에 따른 온도 프로파일을 조사함으로써 그 성능을 평가하였고, 이를 이용하여 사출성형품을 제조하여 수축률, 밀도, 표면 거칠기, Weld line등을 측정하여 실용적인 적용 가능성을 조사 하였다. 가열시간($130^{\circ}C$ 도달시간 14초) 및 사이틀 타임(55초)은 실용화가 가능한 수준으로 나타났다. 일반 사출성형방식으로 성형한 제품과 비교했을 때 수축률은 전열을 이용한 가열방식으로 사출한 성형품이 5.1% 감소하였고, 밀도는 2.66% 증가하였다. 표면 거칠기는 3배 이상 향상 되었고, 일반 사출에서 나타나던 Weld line은 전열가열방식에서는 나타나지 않았다.

밤 외피 경도가 화염박피 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Flame Peeling Characteristics on the Hardness of the Chestnut Shells)

  • It was intended to investigate that how hardness of chestnut shell affects the flame peeling characteristics of Korean Chestnut. Effects of the hardness on the flame peeling characteristics need to be found to establish the optimum drying conditions for chestnut of various cultivars, sizes and harvested years. The equation based on the hardness of the chestnut shells was developed. It was found that the flame peeling characteristics of the corresponding to the various drying conditions did not differ significantly to the groups with the same hardness. The flame peeling characteristics of the chestnut with the same hardness were not influenced by cultivars, size, and harvested year, The peeling ratio and the heating depth were increased by decrease of the hardness of the chestnut shells. On the other hand, the peeling ratio and the heating depth were increased as the flame temperature was increased with the same hardness. When the heating depth was limited to 2.1 mm regarding the process characteristics and the damage ratio, the proper hardness and peeling ratio of chestnut shells were 1,369.8 g/$\textrm{mm}^2$ and 83.9%, respectively, at the flame temperature of $700^{\circ}C$. And also 1,517.7 g/$\textrm{mm}^2$ and 80.7% at 75$0^{\circ}C$.

공동주택의 주동 유형별 냉난방부하 분석 (Cooling and Heating Load Analysis According to Building Type of Apartment House)

  • This study focuses on the analysis of the cooling and heating load in accordance with apartment houses arrangement type using Ecotect Analysis. Korea have to reduce energy consumption part of building except in industry and transport because the rate of dependence on imports amounts to 94%, Apartment houses built in various forms in order to reduce energy are modelled in each window area ratio, shape, orientation, and climate through simulation. Through this study, we can analyze the cooling and heating load by form, window area ratio, orientation, and climate change and know the optimal elements by the form. In particular, although there have been done research on the window area ratio and the arrangement form, the research of the regional climate characteristics and the direction are hardly carried out. To supplement those problem, adding to seven direction and climatic element of southern region is characteristic(L Type, Y Type, - Type) of this study. The form of apartment houses built 10 years ago is modelled for simulation.

  • As structure-borne sound, the floor impact sound is one of the serious noises in residential building. Most of heating system applied to the typical Korean residential building is floor heating system which is called ondol. The ondol usually consists of finishing material, mortar with heating coil, light-weight aerated concrete and reinforced concrete. This study focused on the isolation of heavy-weight impact sound and modification of mortar and light-weight aerated concrete. Specifically the glass foam aggregate was added on light-weight aerated concrete. Also, water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar were revised. The sound pressure level of heavy-weight impact was measured in reverberation chamber using both bang-machine and impact ball. The size of specimen was 1 m by 1 m. Substitution ratio of glass foam aggregate on light-weight aerated concrete shows relationship with heavy-weight impact sound pressure level. In addition, heavy-weight impact sound pressure level was decreased with increment of water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar.

  • I have studied on the Enzymes of rice bran during preservation heating at various periods at constant temperatures and under atmospheric pressure. I found following facts through experiments. 1. It increases A. V. ratio of rice bran oil at above 120$^{\circ}C$., but it does not effect on its fat by heating. 2. It increases A. V. ratio of rice bran oil rapidly at below 90$^{\circ}C$., while it does not effect on its fat during preservation.

  • This study aims to provide the fundamental date of HUANGTO GUDUL for applying to current house heating system. It has been used as a traditional heating system in Korea for a long time and disappeared in the course of industrialization in Korea last a few decades and these days is tend to be widely adopted as house heating system. Even though it is known that the traditional heating system of HUANGTO GUDUL is good for ecological environment house and a kind of the natural friendly heating system for optimum residential heating environment, there are few systematic researches and analysed data of it. In order to analyse the characteristics of HUANGTO GUDUL, the existing materials of it's historical change was studied. And the architectural prospects of the use of GUDUL on the point of view of environmental ecology. The data of relationship between the mechanic properties and the workability of GUDUL materials and the environmental index such as the heating environment, relative humidity, and deodorization ratio and so on. And the heating effectiveness of GUDUL was compared with existing modem materials by experimental analysis. The results stated above can be grafted architecture and will be offered the optimum heating environment.

  • The traditional Korean Ondol System that is a radiant floor heating system was made as warm floor and cool indoor temperature. Nowaday, Ondol is developed as the hydronic floor heating system. But unbalance of floor temperature and indoor temperature is occurred bocause strengthen thermal insulation and airtightness in building changes thermal performance. To solve these problems, we examine actual indoor environment of heating system methods in existing apartments and present the new method of floor heating system. The existing heating system made definite indoor temperatures but floor temperatures that is $22^{\circ}C-26^{\circ}C$ was maintained. To solve these problems, we adopted the differential heating system which made warm area and cool area. A differential heating system was made different pitches of heating pipe in single zone and ratio of warm area to cool area is 1 to 2. As a result of experiments, warm area temperature is $40.7^{\circ}C$, cool area temperature is $36.1^{\circ}C$. A difference of temperature between both area is 4K. A distribution of indoor vertical temperature is similar to both warm area and cool area.

  • 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 위도의 도시 유형별로 주택과 건물 구성비를 가진 3지역을 선정하여 대상 지역별로 2008년 1년간(1.1~12.31)의 실제 운전실적을 이용하여 지역난방 사용자의 일일 및 연간 열소비 패턴을 분석하고, 지역별 상호 차이점을 파악하기 위하여 주택과 건물의 열소비 패턴을 비교 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 실제 주택 및 건물 지역난방 사용자가 사용한 열소비 패턴을 매시간대별로 파악하고, 연결 열부하(난방면적 ${\times}$ 단위열부하 : 시설용량과 지역난방 배관망의 설계기준이 되는 열부하로 난방면적에 용도별 단위열부하를 곱하여 산출[Gcal/h])와의 관계를 분석하여 일일, 연간 및 최대 부하율 결과값을 도출함으로써 주택 및 건물 지역난방 사용자 비율에 따른 최적의 열원시설 용량산정이 가능케 하고 수요개발(해당 시설용량으로 열공급이 가능한 지역난방 사용자의 범위로 각 사용자기계실의 연결열부하 합과 같음.)단계에서의 정확한 방향을 제시할 수 있는 근거를 도출하였다.
