he Study of Nucleic Acid Extraction Method from Archival Paraffin Blocks (보존된 파라핀 블록에서 핵산 추출기법에 관한 연구)

  • It designed a study to examine the efficiency of DNA and RNA extraction from archival formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues using an non-heating and heating method. Archival paraffin blocks of liver, kidney, colon were randomly selected. Each paraffin block was prepared in 20 microtubes. For each paraffin blocks were tested non-heating DNA extraction to 10 microtubes and heating protocol under pH 7.0 and $100^{\circ}C$ to 10 microtubes. Evaluation of the results of DNA extraction was carried out by measuring concentration by UV spectrophotometry and then PCR amplification. DNA extraction content that non-heating method was liver $5{\pm}0.7{\mu}g/mL$, kidney $2{\pm}0.3{\mu}g/mL$, colon $6{\pm}0.4{\mu}g/mL$ and heating method was liver $12{\pm}0.6{\mu}g/mL$, kidney $7{\pm}0.5{\mu}g/mL$, colon $10.{\pm}0.3{\mu}g/mL$. Successful RNA extraction was observed, by ${\beta}$-actin amplification, in 46.7% sections for samples treated by the heating method versus 30.0% using non-heating DNA extraction. The extracted nucleic acid showed better values for samples heated at $100^{\circ}C$. Therefore heating extraction of nucleic acid is reliable, quick and efficiency.

Research on the actual condition of 'Under Floor Radiant Heating for Apartment Housing' (주거용건물의 바닥복사 난방방식에 대한 실태조사 연구)

  • The research analyzes the arrangement of boiler and hot water header, the method of radiator pipe setting, hot water supply control, hourly heating situation of each room for underfloor radiant heating systems in Korea and suggests an alternative to improve to efficient heating method. One of the best options for install position of hot water distributor is under kitchen sink which is center point of all rooms, according to previous research of the energy saving strategies. When the radiator pipes are arranged to each individual room instead of bedrooms through livingroom and kitchen, it has energy saving effects. For rooms without occupancy according to a time period, hot water supply method should be intermittent heating rather than continuous heating. For this intermittent heating method, individual control of hot water supply is more practical, and it can lead to massive energy savings. The intermittent heating system has time-lag, so it is more effective in energy saving with mild and comfort condition if the spaces are preheated by automatic control equipment prior to required time.

Developed Inherent Strain Method Considering Phase Transformation of Mild Steel in Line Heating (선상가열시 강의 상변태를 고려한 개선된 고유변형도 기반의 등가하중법)

  • The inherent strain method is known to be very efficient in predicting the deformation of steel plate by line heating. However, in the actual line heating process in shipyard, the rapid quenching changes the phase of steel. In this study, In order to consider additional effects under phase transformation, inherent strain regions were assumed to expand. Also, when calculating inherent strain, material properties of steel in heating and cooling are applied differently considering phase transformation. In this process, a new method which can reflect thermal volume expansion of martensite is suggested.8y the suggested method, it was possible to predict the plate deformations by line heating more precisely.

  • As to this research is new structure of the semiconductor substrate heating apparatus. The fast thermoresponsive according to the direct heating structure of the heating plate layer adhering closely to the floor side of a substrate and the fast heat loss minimization can be accomplished. Moreover, the contact area of the sheath heater, which is the heating plate layer built-in heating apparatus, is increased, so that it has more heating valid area. For this, it adheres closely to the substrate, in which the photosensitive film is coated and the heating plate layer, adhering closely to the floor side of a substrate the mica layer which adheres closely to the floor side of the upper heating plate layer in order to minimize an insulation and heat loss, and the lower part of the mica layer and it is comprised of the floor plate layer. The heating plate layer forms the continued groove portion over the floor side whole. The sheath heater for heating a substrate is inserted with the groove portion and the heating plate layer is comprised. It is confirmed that by using the new substrate heating structure, the temperature change of the heating plate against the time is observed. Then, there is the electric power saving effect of about 40% in comparison with the existing method.

  • The article deals with system technology of a new solar heating system which systematically combines exiting solar collector technology, auxiliary electrical water heating, floor heating system and well insulated construction method and its application of this system to apartment house heating system in the cold region, and also analyzed performance of the new system in terms of technical and economic feasibility. Results shows that energy efficiency approaches up to 50% of the energy consumption of local construction from 1980 to 1981. The implementation of "DQ technology" to floor heating system achieved from 79% to 85% of the energy-saving benefits comparing to other housing units which were supplied by the local district heating plant.

  • Gas heating, high frequency induction heating and laser heating can be used as the heat-source of line heating. Most of shipyards have been using the gas heating method for line heating. It is difficult to control the residual deformation of gas heating. High frequency induction heating is more feasible for the automation of line heating rather than the gas heating method since it is easy to control the magnitude of heat input. In this study, a numerical model of high frequency induction heating process is proposed for the application of the line heating. The simulation process of the induction heating is composed of the electromagnetic analysis, the heat transfer analysis, and the thermal deformation analysis.

A Study on the Thermal Performance of a Solar House by a F-chart Method (F-chart 설계법(設計法)에 의한 태양열주택(太陽熱住宅)의 난방성능(暖房性能)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This paper presents a method. for estimating the useful output of solar heating sys-terns. Heating load calculations, climatic data and various conditions are used in this procedure to estimate the fraction of the monthly heating load supplied by solar energy for a particular system the design procedure presented in this paper referred to the f-chart method. The results of this study are as follows; 1) The collected energy is not rised lineary to collector area. 2) If the heating area has equivalent solar collector area, the solar energy utilization for space heating is over 90%. 3) Transmittance- absorptance product for radiation at normal incidence, (${\tau}{\alpha}$)/(${\tau}{\alpha}$)n, during most of the heating season is 0.92 for a two-cover collector. 4) Orientation of the collector has little effect on the annual performance of solar heating system within the $15^{\circ}$.

Design and Simulation of Heating Rubber Roller for Laminating Process

  • The purpose of this study is to get optimum design and operation conditions of the heating rubber roller for laminating process. The cause of performance degradation of heating rubber roller is delamination of rubber on metal tube, rubber aging due to high temperature. We measured the material properties of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, specific heat and density and analyzed thermal distributions of rubber layer using finite element method. As a result of heat/flow analysis, the density distribution of heating coil must shorten the stabilization time by reducing the temperature deviation on the length direction at the temperature rising section after increasing the density of the area contacting with the laminate film at the center part which is an opposite of the current composition while enabling to maintain the temperature of heater to be consistent while maintaining the temperature deviation to be low when heat loss is created. Finally, we determined optimum heating method of heating rubber roller.

Proposal of Unit Building Method for Calculating Unit Heating Load of Apartment Houses (공동주택 단위난방부하 계산을 위한 단위동법 제안)

  • As an alternative approach to evaluate the unit heating load for apartment houses, we newly developed and proposed unit building method. The new method, which calculates the heating load of an apartment building as a whole, conceptually corresponds to integral analysis of building heat loss, while the existing unit apartment method to differential analysis. Four typical building models of Korean-style apartment house and two dynamic load calculation programs were selected to validate the present method under realistically imposed conditions. Eight sets of unit heating load calculated respectively by unit building and unit apartment methods showed excellent agreements regardless of building model and simulation program. It is expected that the unit building method can take the place of the unit apartment method due to fewer modeling assumptions as well as less computational efforts. Additional calculations to investigate the effects of various parameters on unit heating load yield good consistencies with known facts, and re-confirm the validity.

A Study of Bending Using Long Type Coil by Discrete Method (다분할 해석법에 의한 장형코일의 곡가공 연구)

  • The induction heating is more efficient for a plate bending because of its easy operation and control of working parameters, compared with the heating by a gas torch. The existing axis symmetric analysis method could neither handle initial curved plates nor be used in the optimization of coil shapes because of its limit of an axis symmetric coil shape. But the proposed method using some discrete part models and analysis processes could overcome these difficulties and show more accurate results in temperatures and deflections of flat or curved plates with initial curvature than those in the existing axis symmetric analysis method. This method is composed of the multi-disciplinary analyses such as an electro magnetic analysis, a heat transfer analysis and a deformation analysis based on inherent strain approach per each step. Traditionally, the coil shape in the induction heating is circular shape and it needs the moving process along heating lines. To overcome this, the 'Long Type Coil' with some linear parallel coils was proposed. It did not need the moving process along heating lines and reduced the heating process time. The results of experiments were compared with those of the simulation.
