A squid meat has not been utilized for gel products because of its lower gel forming ability. The objectives of this study were as followed; 1) the optimum heating condition on squid meat paste products and 2) the optimum added level for jelly strength of squid meat paste products. Optimum heating conditions of squid meat kamaboko were as followed; setting (pre-heating) at 15$^{\circ}C$ or 55$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and heating at 90$^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes. Effect for jelly strength of starch additives wheat starch, potato starch and com starch were examined. The jelly strength of heat induced gels differed from the levels of additives. In case of adding starch, potato starch was resulted in the superior jelly strength than the other starchs, wheat starch and corn starch, at any levels. Optimum concentration was 10%(w/w) at every additives. Folding test value was B at added 10% and this value was mean good product. Data of jumbo and flying squid meat paste products added potato starch, corn starch and wheat starch of 10% were shown below, jelly strengths were 858${\pm}$34∼1020${\pm}$37gㆍcm and 966${\pm}$33∼l148${\pm}$45gㆍcm and moisture contents were 72.43∼73.04% and 71.61∼72.78%, respectively. To adding edible agar and sea tangle, showed the highest jelly strength (edible agar>sea tangle, flying squid>jumbo squid) at added 0.5%(w/w) concentration.
Research on induction heating catalyst system was conducted to solve problems of the existing catalyst system for removing volatile organic compounds. In the present study, three types of Ni-based commercial catalysts were employed, and induction heating reaction characteristics including the catalyst volume, composition, heat treatment atmosphere, and position in the coil were investigated. The composition and volume of the catalyst affected the exothermic and toluene oxidation performance in the induction heating system. In particular, the Fe-added catalyst showed high exothermic performance compared to that of other catalysts consisting of more than 99% Ni, but had low toluene oxidation performance. In addition, the heat treatment in an air atmosphere of the Ni-based catalyst drastically reduced the performance. In the induction heating system, the optimal condition for the catalyst was to be located in the center of the coil. The catalyst showed similar activities among seven repeated experiments under the optimal condition derived from this work.
The physicochemical characteristics of pine nuts gruel were investigated to find the effects of processing condition during the processing. Three-dimensional response surface methodology was applied to investigate effects of ratio of water volume and pine nuts weight to rice weight and heating time on dependent variables of the physicochemical characteristics. The dependent variables in physicochemical characteristics were viscosity (cP), spreadability (cm), pH, soluble solid content (%), color, total sugar (%) and amylose content (%). The F-value of ratio of water volume and pine nuts weight to rice weight and heating time to viscosity were 8.91, 4.54 and 5.02 respectively and they are significantly different at 5% level. The F-value to spreadability were 5.44, 7.88 and 8.04 respectively and they are significantly different at 5% level. These results suggest that water volume, pine nuts weight and heating time greatly affect the viscosity and spreadability of pine nuts gruel. The processing condition also affect the soluble solid content. The changes of the processing condition did not affect the pH of pine nuts gruel. We found that the L, a, b value were affected more by ratio of water volume and pine nuts weight to rice weight than by heating time. The water volume affected more the total sugar and amylose content of pine nuts gruel than pine nuts weight and heating time.

Numerical analysis of bubble motion during nucleate boiling is performed by imposing a constant heat flux condition at the base of a heater which occurs in most of boiling experiments. The temporal and spatial variation of a solid surface temperature associated with the bubble growth and departure is investigated by solving a conjugate problem involving conduction in the solid. The vapor-liquid interface is tracked by a level set method which is modified to include the effects of phase change at the interface, contact angle at the wall and evaporative heat flux in a thin liquid micro-layer. Based on the numerical results, the bubble growth pattern and its interaction with the heating solid are discussed. Also, the effect of heating condition on the bubble growth under a micro-gravity condition is investigated.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the best melting condition with various winding number of a heating pipe, supplying quantity of engine coolant and coolant temperature at the inlet of the heating pipe. Also, it is to suggest getting method of an appropriate quantity of the agent for the urea-SCR system within 10 minutes. For this matter, this study identifies the temperature distribution of inside of urea-tank while it is frozen at the low temperature condition, and suggests the best melting condition of the frozen urea within 10 minutes. From the results, it was found that 2L of melted urea was obtained by the coolant flow rate of 200L/hr at $70^{\circ}C$ for 10 minutes from the start of engine operating.

PTFE composites for use of microwave substrate were fabricated by impregnation and heat treatment fabrication with glass fabric. This study shows dielectric properties such as dielectric constant and loss can be controlled by thickness of PTFE composite with change of pressure condition in heating press process. The dielectric constant of the PTFE composites has decreasing tendency as given higher pressure condition. The dielectric loss has similar result too. Especially, the case of the dielectric loss was affected by the condition of pressure at heating press and had the best performance under 3 MPa. In order to see the reason why thickness conditions make different, their microstructures were also observed.
The ground source heat pump (GSHP) system is a kind of the temperature differential energy system using relatively stable underground temperature as heat source of space heating and cooling. This system can achieve higher performance of system than it of conventional air source heat pump systems. However, its superiority of the system performance is different according to installation location or local climate, because the system performance depends on the underground condition which is decided by annual average air temperature. In this study, in order to estimate the feasibility of the ground source heat pump system according to the local climate, numerical simulation was conducted using the ground heat transfer model and the surface heat balance model. The case study was conducted in the condition of Seoul, Daejeon, and Busan, In the result, the heat exchange rate of Busan was 34.33 W/m as the largest in heating season and it of Seoul was 40.61 W/m as the largest in cooling.
Re-hydration properties of heated and ground CaO-SiO2-H2O system were studied under hydrothermal condition in order to examine the possibility of recycling ALC waste as raw materials of ALC. Powder of calcium silicate hydrates and ALC waste without heat treatment did not show further hydration while those of heat-treated at proper temperature showed re-hydration properties under hydrothermal condition. The lath-like shape of initially synthesized tobermorite was gradually turned into small debris during heating and plate-like tobermorite was crystallized during re-hydration of the heated powders. Heated and ground ALC waste could be added to natural raw mix for ALC at the ammount up to 20% with increased compressive strength and up to 30% with slightly decreased compressive strength. The optimum heating temperature of ALC for recycling was about 50$0^{\circ}C$.
Analytical approach is applied to predict temperature of satellite box under worst hot condition from fairing jettison to separation. The box is tried to solve analytically which is exposed to known environmental heating condition and has internal heating and irradiation to space. For a single thermal mass, governing equation for temperature is simplified to 1st order ordinary differential equation(ODE) by several assumptions. Two cases are considered. The one is for constant mass box and the other is for mass-varying box. Each case has three different analytical solution by sign of constant term in ODE. One analytical solution for constant mass is applied to physical launch stage condition. It is concluded that the present analytical method can be used to quick predict the temperature of a satellite box and check whether a satellite is safe against space environment during launch stage.
Cyclic heating method is useful method for measuring the thermal diffusivity of porous materials. The main object of this paper is to develop and verify the thermal diffusivity measuring system of porous materials under vacuum condition. To verify this method, thermal diffusivities of the alumina ($Al_2O_3$) specimen and polystyrene foam were measured. Thermal diffusivities of these specimens were agreed with reference values. Thermal diffusivities of carbon/epoxy and porous insulation material were measured at atmospheric room temperature condition and vacuum condition respectively. Thermal diffusivities of carbon/epoxy and porous insulation material under vacuum are reduced by 66.4% and 64.9% compared to the thermal diffusivities under the atmospheric condition. These differences are considered the effect of the porous insulation material with an air.
