해양지열발전용 다단재열재생사이클 성능해석 (Performance Analysis on the Multi Stage Reheater Regeneration Cycle for Ocean Geothermal Power Generation)

  • 지열수를 온열원으로 사용하고, 해양심층수를 열침으로 사용하는 바이너리(binary) 지열 발전시스템은 기존 지열 발전시스템의 효율을 증대하기 위한 재열과정과 터빈출력을 향상시키기 위한 다단과정을 각각 또는 복합적으로 적용하여 다단재열재생사이클의 성능개선을 검토하였다. 사이클종류는 다단재열사이클(Multi Stage reheater cycle; MS), 다단재열재생사이클(Multi stage reheater regeneration cycle; MSR)이 있다. 작동유체는 R134a, R245fa를 적용하였으며 온열원의 온도가 $65^{\circ}C$, $75^{\circ}C$, $85^{\circ}C$ 열침은 $5^{\circ}C$를 적용하여 기본해석을 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 온열원변화, 작동유체의 종류, 사이클의 종류에 따른 해양지열발전용 다단재열재생사이클의 출력 및 효율을 높이기 위한 해석을 수행하였다. 이를 열역학적 사이클로 모사하기 위한 상용 프로그램인 Aspen HYSYS(V8.0)를 이용하여 해석을 진행 하였다. 작동유체는 R245fa가 R134a보다 우수한 성능을 보였으며, 온열원의 변화와 각각의 사이클 종류에 따라 적절한 작동유체가 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 사이클의 출력 및 효율은 각각 MS사이클과 MSR사이클에서 좋은 성능을 나타냈다.

Protoplast Preparation and Regeneration from Young Hyphae of the Citrinin Producing Fungus Monascus ruber

  • Optimized conditions for protoplast preparation and regeneration from young hyphae of Monascus ruber were established. Heat shock treatment of spores gave rapid and synchronized germination. Spores collected from cultures grown for 7-8 days at $30^{\circ}C$ were germinated until over 70% germ tubes reached to 3-5 spore length. Enzymatic digestion of young hyphae was optimal with 50 mg/mL Glucanex in 0.1 M sodium citrate buffer containing 0.8 M mannitol as an osmotic stabilizer. Regeneration rate was around 10% when 0.8 M sorbitol was used as an osmotic stabilizer in regeneration medium. These conditions will be applied in genetic study of M. ruber that produces citrinin at high level and thus is good model strain for molecular genetic dissection of citrinin biosynthesis.

전기히터방식 매연여과장치의 PM 산화 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PM Oxidation Characteristics of Electrical Heater DPF System)

  • For continuously regenerative PM collecting system which adopted thermally stable SiC DPF and electrical heater which was placed upstream of the filter and driven by well constructed control logic, PM oxidation characteristics were investigated varying air flow rate, amounts of PM accumulated on the DPF and filter inlet temperature in order to get optimized PM regeneration performance. This study showed that the operating condition of air flow rate 70 lpm, high PM loading around 30g and filter inlet temperature $700^{\circ}C$ with heat insulation was effective in achieving high regeneration efficiency. Also, in this condition, we could decrease the electric energy consumption by reducing the regeneration time.

DPF 재생을 위한 버너-산화촉매 복합 적용 (Combined Application of Burner and Oxidation Catalyst for Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration)

  • Combined technique of burner and DOC has been used for regeneration of Diesel Particulate Filter. Experiments has been performed to increase the temperature of engine exhaust gas to burn the collected soot in DPF at all conditions of operation of 3 liter diesel engine. Ignition temperature of soot can be successfully obtained by heats of burner flame and residual fuel oxidation at diesel oxidation catalyst even in the condition of oxygen deficiency. It is found that the load of air compressor and heat loss can be reduced to the level of practical application. It is also found that CO and THC emissions are not increase by additional combustion of regeneration burner.

Comparison of light-induced degradation and regeneration in P-type monocrystalline full aluminum back surface field and passivated emitter rear cells

  • This paper reports on a systematic and quantitative assessment of light induced degradation (LID) and regeneration in full Al-BSF and passivated emitter rear contact cells (PERC) along with the fundamental understanding of the difference between the two. After LID, PERC cells showed a much greater loss in cell efficiency than full Al-BSF cells (~0.9% vs ~0.6%) because the degradation in bulk lifetime also erodes the benefit of superior BSRV in PERC cells. Three main regeneration conditions involving the combination of heat and light ($75^{\circ}C/1\;Sun/48h$, $130^{\circ}C/2\;Suns/1.5h$ and $200^{\circ}C/3\;Suns/30s$) were implemented to eliminate LID loss due to BO defects. Low temperature/long time ($75^{\circ}C/48h$) and high temperature/short time ($200^{\circ}C/30s$) regeneration process was unable to reach 100% stabilization. The intermediate temperature/time ($130^{\circ}C/1.5h$) generation achieved nearly full recovery and stabilization (over 99%) for both full Al-BSF and PERC cells. We discussed the effect of temperature, time and suns in regeneration mechanism for two cells.

  • The exhaust emissions from diesel vehicle are known to be harmful to human health and environment. Recently, one of the most environment problems is particulate matter. In this study, through the actual exper iment and heat transfer of exhaust pipe in light duty diesel engine equipped with the ceramic filter trap of throttling type, following results are obtained. 1. In case of light duty diesel engine equipped with ceramic filter trap of throttling type, Power and torque of engine were decreased about 5%, compared with the case without trap system. It means that was not so much effect on base engine performance.2. If the length of exhaust pipe when equipping with ceramic filter trap is suitably controlled, the range of regeneration will be expand much more.3. Particulate matter reduction efficiency of ceramic filter trap system was about 70%-80%, so it was proved a good system to reduce particulate matter.In experiment, test was conducted to estimate engine emission in 2,476cc light duty diesel engine which was equipped with ceramic filter trap.

  • Liquid desiccant dehumidification system can be used effectively to save energy consumed in air conditioning as an alternative compared with conventional air conditioning systems by reducing latent heat load. The dehumidifier and the regenerator from the heart of this system. The latent part of the cooling load is handled using liquid desiccant. In this study, the experimental regenerator has been designed to study the regeneration characteristics of the aqueous triethylene glycol(TEG) system. The performance factors of the regenerator with finned tube heat exchanger were evaluated by a series of experimental runs. The regeneration process is highly dependent on the liquid desiccant conditions, such as, temperature, concentration and flow rate. In addition, the effects of the inlet air temperature, humidity and flow rate were discussed. Data obtained are useful for design guidance and performance analysis of a regenerator, particularly for a liquid desiccant cooling system.

수치해석을 통한 탈황반응기용 촉매의 재생공정 분석 (Numerical Simulation of Catalyst Regeneration Process for Desulfurization Reactor)

  • 본 연구에서는 연료전지용 디젤 흡착 탈황 반응기에 사용된 촉매를 재생하는 공정을 수치해석을 통해 모사하고 분석하여 관련된 기초 공정 정보를 도출하였다. 촉매 재생에 사용되는 질소 퍼지가스의 유량, 충전된 탈황촉매의 투과율, 반응기의 크기, 반응기의 단열 성능에 따른 정상상태 해석을 통해 각각의 요소가 촉매 재생에 미치는 영향들을 살펴보았다. 온도의 영향을 거의 받지 않았던 탈황공정과 달리 촉매의 재생 공정에서는 온도 변화에 따라 영향을 크게 받았으며 이전 탈황 연구에서 중요한 공정 변수였던 충전된 촉매의 투과도, 충전층의 공극률 등은 큰 영향을 미치지 못했다. 비정상상태 해석을 수행하여 재생에 소요되는 시간을 예측하였으며 퍼지가스의 유량과 온도를 변화시키며 재생에 소요되는 시간을 분석한 결과, 퍼지가스의 유량을 높이는 것 보다 온도를 높이는 것이 재생에 더 효율적임을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 선박 연료전지용 디젤의 흡착 탈황 반응기의 재생 공정 개발에 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 본 결과는 연료전지뿐 아니라 일반적으로 정유사에서 생산되는 디젤유의 황 함유량을 감소시키는 저황 시스템 디자인에 활용될 수 있으며 이러한 의미에서 석유화학 산업의 청정화 기술 확보에 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.

자동차 냉각수 폐열회수 열전발전 시스템의 성능에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermoelectric Generator Performance for Waste Coolant Recovery Systems in Vehicles)

  • This study indicated the possibility of energy regeneration from waste coolant heat, by using thermoelectric generation integrated with heat pipe. The internal combustion engine rejects more than 60% wasteful energy to the atmosphere by heat. The thermoelectric generator has recently been studied, to convert the energy from engine waste heat into electricity. For coolant waste heat recovery, a thermoelectric generator was investigated, to find out the possibility of vehicular application. Performance characteristics were conducted with various test conditions of coolant temperature, coolant mass flow rate, air temperature, and air velocity, with the thermoelectric generator installed either horizontally or vertically. Experimental results show that the electric power and conversion efficiency increases according to the temperature difference between the hot and cold side of the thermoelectric generator, and the coolant flow rate of the hot side heat exchanger. Performance improvement can be expected by optimizing the heat pipe design.

열 안정성 염 제거장치를 고려한 아민 재생 공정 최적화 전략 (Optimization Strategies for Amine Regeneration Process with Heat-Stable Salt Removal Unit)

  • 본 연구에서는 열 안정성 염 제거장치가 추가된 아민 재생 공정을 모사하고, 폐수 량, 열 안정성 염 제거 량, MDEA(methyl diethanolamine) 손실량을 고려한 최적 운전조건 도출 전략을 제시하였다. 산성 가스를 흡수 및 탈거하는 아민 재생공정에서 열 안정성 염은 공정 장비 및 아민 용액의 흡수 효율을 저해한다. 열 안정성 염 제거 방법 중 하나인 이온교환수지법은 NaOH와 같은 강 염기성 용액을 사용하여 중화반응을 통해 염을 제거시키는 방법이다. 공정 모델링 과정에서 산성 가스의 탈거 과정은 Radfrac 모델을 사용했고, 반응의 평형상수는 Gibbs 자유에너지를 사용하여 계산하였다. 탈거된 아민 용액의 일부는 열 안정성 염 제거 장치로 들어가게 되고, 제거 장치는 중화반응을 이용한 Rstoic 모델을 사용하였다. 실제 운전데이터와 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하여 검증하였고, 제거 장치로 들어가는 질량 유량을 조절하여 사례연구를 하고 최적 운전 조건을 제시하였다.
