  • Health care wearables are devices that are attached to or combined with the human body to improve the health care capabilities of the human body that can be safely and adjustable according to preference. This study provided direction for future research on healthcare wearables in the field of clothing science, considering trends observed in this field from 2010 to 2019. Over the last 10 years, 812 studies have been conducted on healthcare wearables in Korea. Research has increased significantly since 2015, with a large number of articles published in this field. The research for this study was broken down into the following categories: technology development, marketing analysis, and technology analysis. The results according to the research method demonstrated that development and production methods were used most frequently, followed by trend analysis, experiment and evaluation, and survey. An analysis of keywords in the articles studied revealed that device, healthcare, big data (biometric data and database), and healthcare convergence technologies were trending. Similarly, detailed research on healthcare wearable devices and related technologies was actively being conducted. However, focusing on fiber, textiles, design, and clothing articles, in relation to the field of clothing in healthcare wearables, only 81 articles were found on this topic (10.0%), which was low compared to other studies. Therefore, it was determined that more research on healthcare wearables is necessary in the field of clothing.

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the research published in KCI-registered journals related to healthcare marketing for the last 27 years from 1995 to 2022 to identify academic research trends, the specificity of the healthcare field and to suggest future research directions. Methodology: A total of 213 articles were selected for this study, and a descriptive analysis of the period and journals was conducted, as well as the analysis of research topics and keywords from the perspective of marketing strategy factors and performance factors. Findings: A total of 213 articles related to healthcare marketing have been published in the last 27 years. The descriptive analysis showed a steady quantitative increase, but the STP field showed a decreasing trend, and many papers were mainly published in the Korean Journal of Hospital Management. According to the analysis of research topics and keywords, STP field will be hard to become an active research topic in the future, and even in the 7P field, only Product, People, and Process can be researched according to medical law regulations, and other factors such as PX & WOM, CRM, and the Internet fields are expected to be research topics. Implications: Through the analysis of research trends over the past 27 years, we were able to identify the specificity of the healthcare marketing field in Korea and suggest future research directions based on this.

  • Much has changed in the healthcare field since the beginning of the industrial age. In the healthcare field changes are occurring so rapidly and dramatically that yesterday's paradigm will not be tomorrow's paradigm, creating the need above all else to stay fluid and flexible as strategies(included healthcare architecture planning) for the future are developed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the latest architectural trends of general hospital outpatient department based on the healthcare environment changes in Korea. The major healthcare environment change is to change the object of hospital's healthcare services from inpatient to outpatient. In conclusion, the first, medical faculties of outpatient department are subdivided specialized small faculty. The second, clinic systems for medical examination and treatment of specific disease are activated in the most outpatient department. The third, specialized medical centers for chronical disease(Cancer, Cardiac etc.) control are arranged in existed outpatient department or freestanding facility. • This paper attempts to critically review the status of supply chain operations in the healthcare field in an attempt to address what has been done in academics as well as the practitioner's field to gain insight where future research efforts should be addressed. Based on literature set through review on previous studies, literature published within the past 10 years will be reviewed. The purpose of the study can be summarized as follows. First, overviews of healthcare SCM. Second, comparative studies on commercial SCM and healthcare SCM. Third, major tools in SCM. Finally, the barriers of adopting healthcare SCM. The findings of this study reveals potential benefits from using supply chain management tools. Although research and case studies in healthcare industries are not as extensive as in other industries, a clear trend appears to be forming in that deployment of supply chain management indeed generates consumer and provider's surplus from which the entire society would benefit.

  • Purpose: This study was to review the previous studies on the 'Willingness to Pay (WTP)' for healthcare services and suggest future implications for nursing research. Methods: Using the scoping review method, we used RISS, KISS, KMbase, Koreamed, PubMed, EMbase, CINAHL as searching engines. According to the selection and exclusion criteria, 40 appropriate studies were selected and analyzed. Results: 24 studies were categorized into medical service field among medical, public health, and nursing service fields. A total of 16 studies were related to healthcare system (policies), 13 studies were to the healthcare intervention, and 11 studies were categorized into the health management. Most of the methods for eliciting WTP (70%) were about a contingent valuation method (CVM), and the use of double bounded dichotomous choice (DBDC) tended to increase. In the nursing field, five WTP studies were identified: two studies published in the early years of 2000, which were conducted on hospital-based home health visit services. Recent studies were mostly about counseling and education by advanced practice nurses (APNs). Conclusion: WTP studies on healthcare services were largely published from the medical fields and health policy areas with the CVM method. In the field of nursing, studies have been conducted on the subject of limited service areas. More active exploration of research topics is required, particularly under the current policy setting, where discussion of the public health insurance fee for nursing practice is essential.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the applications and prospects of big data in digital dental healthcare. Methods: The study included 30 participants in the dental field (dentists, technicians, professors, and graduate students). From June 25 to 30, 2023, the contents of the study were thoroughly explained, consent was obtained from the research subjects, and a questionnaire was administered via an internet service. The questionnaires of 28 participants who responded completely were used for analysis. The collected data were statistically processed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 (IBM). Results: The use of big data in digital dental healthcare, digital dental health system, mobile dental health, dental health analysis, and telehealthcare were all heavily surveyed, with an average score of 3.97 or higher on a 5-point Likert scale. The areas where big data can be utilized in digital dental healthcare are as follows. The utilization rate for three-dimensional digital product development via linkage with big data systems and industrial field manufacturing technology was found to be 4.11±0.67, and the analysis of trends by age in the occurrence of various oral diseases was found to be 4.00±0.98. Conclusion: In the future, research into the viability of big data's success in the medical data field, which is directly related to human life, is needed. Additionally, social policies and regulations regarding big data-related information and standards in dental healthcare are necessary.
