  • Building materials have a great impact on the health of a building's occupants. Thus, it is imperative that their health-related properties be taken into during the course of construction project. Unfortunately, no current database system exists that can provide information on the health performance of building materials at each stage of construction project management, from planning and design to building and maintenance. therefore, an inordinate amount of time and effort is required to choose the right health-friendly materials(DBHM). To solve this problem, this study aims at building a database management system for health-friendly building materials. It analyzes the health-related properties and performance of various materials, and proposes a database structure and operation algorithm. The system proposed in this study is expected to contribute to the objective evaluation of health-friendly building materials through the accumulation of relevant data.

School Health Service : (1) Health Appraisal : School Nurse (p<0.05) (2) Follow up and Counseling : School Nurse (p<0.001) (3) Dental Health : Area (p<0.05), Level of School (p<0.05) (4) Prevention and Control of Communicable Disease : Level of School (p<0.001), School Nurse (p<0.05) (5) Emergency Care : Area (p<0.001), No. of Class (p<0.001), School Nurse(p<0.001) (6) Facilities and Equipment of Clinic : Level of School (p<0.001), No.of Class (p<0.001), School Nurse (p<0.001) 3. School Health Instruction: (1) Program Organization : No. of Class (p<0.05), School Nurse (p<0.001) (2) Curriculum Planning land Evaluation : School Nurse (p<0.001) (3) Instructional Aids : Level of School (p<0.001), School Nurse (p<0.05) Recommendation for the Improvement of School Health Practice are as follows : A. There should be further study to strengthen the school health practice, especially in the field of school health instruction. B. It is strictly required to employ and utilize school nurse at each school level not only for the school health service but also for the school health in struction. C. There should be much considerations about adequate size and easily accessible distance in school site.

  • The occupational health problems are the major issue in the modern industrial society. Especially the small scale industries have many hazardous factors and not any occupational health programs in itself. Fortunately. the government-funded subsidiary program was developed and carried out in the past six years in our country. The purposes of this study were to find out the actual condition of the occupational health personnel's accomplishments for the government-funded subsidiary program for small scale industries and to provide basic data for setting up more developed subsidiary occupational health program. Data were collected through 6 kinds of service records review. These service records were written by 3 occupational health personnels were attached to the one subject center of KIHA. were undertaken during March to December, 1997. at 95 small scale industries which were applied the government-funded subsidiary occupational health program. Results were as follows 1. Concerning 95 small scale industries showed characteristics of a typical small scale industry. 2. A doctor visited in industries total 190 times per year, average 19 industries per month, twice per year and industry. A hygienist visited in industries total 378 times per year, average 38 industries per month, four times per year and industry. A nurse visited in industries total 477 times per year. average 47 industries per month, 5 times per year and industry. 3. 3 occupational health personnels accomplished total 3,869 items. A doctor accomplished total 539 items per year, each time 3 items In an industry. A hygienist accomplished total 1.581 items per year, each time 4 items in an industry. A nurse accomplished total 1.749 items per year, each time 4 items in an industry. 4. The major contents of doctor's accomplishment were 'health consultation for suspicious worker with general & occupational disease', 'a check of the workplace & special health education', 'guidance of special medical examination in the second half of year', etc. The major contents of hygienist's accomplishment were 'pretest & guidance of planning for evaluation of working environment'. 'evaluation for ventilating facilities & suporting self inspection', 'guidance of MSDS recording & chemicals management', etc. The major contents of nurse's accamplishment were 'health counseling of general & special medical examination results'. 'health education of preventing occupational disease & health disorder'. 'guidance of subsidiary program planning', 'selecting & guidance of health monitor', etc. It was concluded that the occupaional health personnels implemented the subsidiary program according to the order of health management guide. The current health management guide of subsidiary occupational health program in which the fixed contents, visiting number & periods is not desirable. That guide is left the characteristics of small scale industries out of consideration. It is suggested that occupational health management guide should be developed according to the general & environmental characteristics of each small scale industry, and on the other hand, the more specific guide for each occupational health personnel should be developed.

  • Purpose: This study analyzes mental healthcare delivery services and types of facilities, the status of installation and operation, and planning standard. The purpose of the study is to propose a basic data for the performance of related research and work tasks, along with an understanding of the Chinese mental healthcare facility type and support system. Furthermore, it will show a lack of current function management as the changes of mental health concept and demand for services increases, and it is intended to provide implications for the construction of mental health facilities. Methods: This study was conducted by a research on law and regulation of China's mental healthcare delivery service system and mental healthcare facility. The analyzed data are the national standard GB, the optional national standard GB/T, the building construction standard JGJ, and the report issued by the Health Planning and Development Committee. Results: At present mental healthcare facility construction in China is in the period of rapid development and it exposes the layout of medical facilities, which is not currently reasonable and the service does not reach the designated position and so on. Overall, it requires more detailed guidelines to enhance the quality of mental healthcare service. Implications: It is expected that the research of this paper will provide effective reference for future research on Chinese Mental healthcare system and facilities, and can promote construction of Chinese mental healthcare facility theory in perfect condition.

  • The ability to directly harvest thin and superthin perforator flaps without jeopardizing their vascularity depends on knowledge of the microsurgical vascular anatomy of each perforator within the subcutaneous tissue up to the dermis. In this paper, we report our experience with ultrahigh-frequency ultrasound (UHF-US) in the preoperative planning of thin and superthin flaps. Between May 2017 and September 2018, perforators of seven patients were preoperatively evaluated by both ultrasound (using an 18-MHz linear probe) and UHF-US (using 48- and 70-MHz linear probes). Thin flaps (two cases) and superthin flaps (five cases) were elevated for the reconstruction of head and neck oncologic defects and lower limb traumatic defects. The mean flap size was 6.5×15 cm (range, 5×8 to 7.5×23 cm). No complications occurred, and all flaps survived completely. In all cases, we found 100% agreement between the preoperative UHF-US results and the intraoperative findings. The final reconstructive outcomes were considered satisfactory by both the surgeon and the patients. In conclusion, UHF-US was found to be very useful in the preoperative planning of thin and superthin free flaps, as it allows precise anticipation of very superficial microvascular anatomy. UHF-US may represent the next frontier in thin, superthin, and pure skin perforator flap design.

  • The chemical industries have used large amounts of chemicals. If an accident occurs, it caused physical and human damage. We intended to investigate risk assessment for the prevention of accidents. The risk assessment by HAZOP technique has been applide to major chemical industries, and that result has been utilized efficiently. In this study, we analyzed Bow-Tie and HAZOP technique, and risk assesment was performed by Bow-Tie on toxic material process. As a result, the risk that can not be found in the risk assessment of the other is derived, and improvements of 14 to remove the dangers derived. Bow-Tie risk assessment is suitable to derive the applicability of risk factors in the field and to establish the improvement measures.
