Therefore, the purpose of this study tried to present the basis for enacting advanced radiologic technologists act in Korea by studying the United State's license system to reflect the changes of the times. As a result, we were suggested the following conclusions. First, granting the legal status of advanced radiologic technologists is a global trend. Second, in order to legislate the advanced radiologic technologists license system, the formation of an industry-government-academic council should be preceded. Last, we could be improved public health and medical care and advance laws and systems by the legalization of radiologic technologist act.

  • While the population of pet dogs and pet-related markets are increasing, there is no convenient and reliable tool for pet health monitoring for pet owners/caregivers. In this paper, we propose a mobile platform-based pre-diagnosis system that pet owners can use for pre-diagnosis and obtaining information on coping strategies based on their observations of the pet dog's abnormal behavior. The proposed system constructs symptom-disease association databases for 100 frequently observed diseases under veterinarian guidance. Then, we apply the possibilistic fuzzy C-means algorithm to form the "probable disease" set and the "doubtable disease" set from the database. In the experiment, we found that the proposed system found almost all diseases correctly, with an average of 4.5 input symptoms and outputs 1.5 probable and one doubtable disease on average. The utility of this system is to alert the owner's attention to the pet dog's abnormal behavior and obtain an appropriate coping strategy before consult a veterinarian.

Many women with a baby get to be interested in foods, health, and growth of their baby and the new task of raising a baby comes with a new burden added to taking care of their family and can develop into obsessive compulsive disorder to be a great mother. So many mothers suffer from child-rearing stress. Also, as the balance of work and life in mobile environment emerged as an important issue, the need for integrated information management applications that give infant care assistance to new mothers was increased. This study analyzed preferences on infant care information apps and developed prototype apps for infant care information management that can provide integrated customized infant care information that is actually needed.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to survey health requirements of middle-aged women and their families and to provide guidelines for developing nursing interventions by describing the process of family health maintenance experienced by middle-aged women and its conceptual system. Methods: To get saturated data, each of four researchers conducted two or three times of in-depth interview with eight middle-aged women aged between 40-64 years old and living in Seoul and Chuncheon from the 10th to the 30th of October 2004 and each interview was continued one or two hours. The Grounded theory adopted by Strauss & Corbin (1998) is a substantive theory that can explain the experiencing process of middle-aged women. Results: We found that the casual condition of family health maintaining by middle-aged women was 'confidence of health belief', and 'pouring by body moving' was found to be its phenomenon. A textual condition that might respond to the phenomenon was 'fatal roles acceptance', and intervening conditions that promote their family health were 'retracing' and 'gathering health information'. These intervening conditions impacted middle-aged women's confidence in family health and led them to take actions/interactions such as 'being a model of health', 'adapting to circumstances', 'do-it-myself', 'taking-care' 'harmonious mind' and 'the pursuit of cleanness'. These actions/interactions produced results such as 'being stronger', 'being unmanageable' and 'being fruitful'. Conclusions: Health confidence and practical health behaviors were observed in the process that the middle-aged female participants experienced unmanageable circumstances but they accepted their roles and responsibilities and recognized that they must be get stronger. The behaviors of health-together-with were divided into enthusiastic type, adaptation type and self-sacrificing type. Therefore middle-aged woman with the understanding of family health maintaining process as well as the theoretical system and practical principals needs to implement the intervention in acceptable level of family health process of preventing psychological and physical problems.

CHPs received job education in addition continuous job education arid participated on research program in last 3 years were 27.5%, respectively. CHPs performed the return health program for residents in last 3years were 65.4%. Over 95% of CHPs replied that PHPs might be necessary and 53.9% of CHPs replied that the role of PHPs should be increased. • This study was conducted by extending Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB) model in analyzing physician's observance behavior of National Health Insurance review standards. An extended TPB model was proposed by including 'background knowledge'and 'dorganizational commitment'in original model to predict physician's review standards observance behavior. Surveys for data collection were carried out on the physicians who were working in a general hospital, clinics, specialized hospitals, local medical centers and long term care hospitals located in Daegu and Kyoung-Buk province in Korea. Two hundreds twenty copies of questionnaires were distributed and 166 physicians responded. Data were analyzed using a structural equation model. The results show that an affirmative attitude and subjective norms have significant positive effects on physicians' behavior of observing review standards. However, the effect of perceived behavioral control on intention to behavior is not significant. The organizational commitment and background knowledge have a positive effect on the intention of observance of review standards. In conclusion, because physician's observance behaviors are affected by background knowledge and organizational commitment as well as attitudes, subjective norms, hospital managements should establish a communication system to share information on the review standards among physicians and provide appropriate measures to increase physician's organizational commitment.

  • Purpose: Determining appropriate ways to assess health care quality within the National Health Insurance System is of interest to both the Korean government and the medical community. However, in the trauma field, the number of indicators used to evaluate surgical quality is limited. Using data collected over 5 years at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital Trauma Center in Korea, this study aimed to determine whether the unplanned reoperation rate in the field of trauma surgery could be used to assess the quality of an institution's surgical care. Methods: In total, 665 general surgical procedures were performed at the Trauma Center in 453 patients with abdominopelvic injuries from January 2015 to December 2019. Data were collected from the Trauma Center's data registry and medical records, and included information regarding patients' demographic characteristics, the type of index operation, and the reason for unplanned reoperations. Results: A total of 453 index operations were evaluated. The proportion of patients with an Injury Severity Score (ISS) >15 was 48-70% over the 5-year period, with an unplanned reoperation rate of 2.1-9.3%. Patients had an average ISS score of 17.5, while the average Abbreviated Injury Scale Score was 2.87. Unplanned reoperations were required in about 7% of patients. The most common complications requiring reoperation were recurrent bleeding (26.9%), wound problems (26.9%), intestinal infarction (15.4%), and anastomosis site leakage (7.7%). The procedures most frequently requiring unplanned reoperations were bowel surgery (segmental resection, primary repair, enterostomy, etc.) (24.5%) and preperitoneal pelvic packing (10.6%). Conclusions: The proportion of reoperations was confirmed to be affected by injury severity.

  • In the long-term care insurance (LTCI) system, National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) provide counseling services for beneficiaries and their family caregivers, which help them use LTC services appropriately. The purpose of this study was to develop a Target Selection Model for the Counseling Services based on needs of beneficiaries and their family caregivers. To develope models, we used data set of total 2,000 beneficiaries and family caregivers who have used the long-term care services in their home in March 2013 and completed questionnaires. The Target Selection Model was established through various data-mining models such as logistic regression, gradient boosting, Lasso, decision-tree model, Ensemble, and Neural network. Lasso model was selected as the final model because of the stability, high performance and availability. Our results might improve the satisfaction and the efficiency for the NHIS counseling services.
