Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture on a patient with Tension Type headache. Methods : We have given Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture treatment to a patient with Tension Type headache for 8days, and checked changes of symptoms. Main symptoms were numbness and pains in a head and a neck. Results : After treatment, the numbness and pains in a head and a neck were improved considerably. Conclusions : This study shows that Dangkisoo-san and acupuncture are significantly effective in treatment of Tension Type headache.

Objective : In this study, we have discovered that Korean Bee-Venom therapy is effective in treating various hip joint diseases. For example, A vacular Necrosis, Degenerative Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Methods & Results: We have treated three cases of affections of the hip(eg. Degenerative arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head) with Korean Bee-Venom therapy and herbal acupuncture treatments. For acupuncture, Korean Bee-Venom therapy was observed for its pain relieving effects. Korean Bee-Venom therapy was treated on the following acupuncture points: GB29(Koryo), GB30(Hwando:環跳), ST36(Chok-samni:足三理). As the results of these treatments, a little change of inflammation around the hip joint on X-ray scan study was observed. but the degree of pain and range of motion were improved. in addition to general conditions of the patients. Conclusions: Based on the clinical results, Korean Bee-Venom therapy is believed to be effective for treating Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head, Degenerative arthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis of hip joint. However, it is expected that further studies should be conducted to provide more objective information.

Objectives : The Purpose of this study is to identify the anatomical correlates of the three Hand Yang meridians in the head (HYMH), i.e. the arteries of the head. Methods : The original text describing the HYMH in the Yellow Emperor's Inner Cannon is presented and translated into Korean. Anatomical literature related to the arteries of the head are reviewed to identify those that correspond to the HYMH. Results : Arteries corresponding to the HYMH are as follows: The Hand yangming large intestine meridian corresponds to the facial artery and the superior and inferior labial arteries. The Hand Taiyang small intestine meridian's first branch corresponds to the superficial temporal artery, the zygomatico-orbital artery, and the anterior auricular artery. The second branch corresponds to the transverse facial artery. The Hand Shaoyang triple energizer meridian's first branch corresponds to the posterior auricular artery, the superficial temporal artery, and the transverse facial artery. The second branch corresponds to the posterior auricular artery, the anterior auricular artery, and the zygomatico-orbital artery. Conclusions : The HYMH correspond as arteries, specifically branches of the external carotid artery. It is anticipated that arteries corresponding to other meridians in the head can also be identified.

A patient with central post-stroke pain was treated for 4 weeks with scalp acupuncture and traditional Korean medicine (following a cerebral infarction in 2013). The patient presented at Chungju hospital in January 2019 with left side weakness and tingling, numbness in the left hemisphere, chronic pain and dysarthria. Initially, herbal medicine, acupuncture, pharmacupunture, indirect moxibustion, and physiotherapy were administered together with Western medicine, with no improvement in the patient's condition. On Day 5, scalp electroacupuncture (MS1, MS5, MS10, MS11) was introduced. The numbness feeling in the patient's head resolved, and the pain in his upper body decreased. Grip force difference between the left and right hand improved from 3 kg to 0-0.5 kg. Sleep disturbance was resolved after 4 weeks treatment, and his average numeric rating scale score for pain improved from an admission score of 10, to a discharge score of 5. The patient could walk unaided after treatment.

Objectives : Developmental disorder include every disorder that obstruct functional developments. For example, Mental Retardation, Autism, Developmental Academic Skill Disorder, Developmental Language Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Tic Disorder(Tourette's Disorder), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Brain injury etc. Methods : Chinese medical circles study herbs, acupuncture and cooperate Western medicine for treat the Developmental disorder variety. So, we research Chinese and Korean Medical Journal from 1990 to 2003, choose the Acupuncture Therapy. Results : Acupuncture Therapy include head needling, body acupuncture, ear-acupuncture therapy, therapy of point injection. By these ways control brain, the brain's marrow, liver, kidney, heart and treat the developmental disorder effective.

Objectives: This paper is focused on the development of supporting device for the direct moxibustion. This device makes one help to do moxibustion on one's head and back for oneself. Without this device, one can't avoidthe other's help to do moxibustion on one's head and back. Methods: The design protocols of the supporting device for the direct moxibustion are determined. And 3 dimensional simulation using Ultimaker's 3D printer was carried out. The parts of the supporting device for direct moxibustion are followings: 1. preparing of the main parts which are divided into an acupuncture touching sting and moxa holder. 2. preparing a grip part. Results: 3 different lengths of the acupuncture touching sting such as 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm were experimented for the perfect burning of moxa. Among them, the acupuncture touching sting with 4mm length was best for the perfect burning and for the organic functional tests. Conclusion: The supporting device for direct moxibustion will be helpful to minimize of the burning of skin, the pain, and the smoke.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the effects of Korean medicine treatments including Chuna manual therapy, pharmacopuncture and acupuncture for two patients who have pain in hip joint diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Methods The treatment effect was evaluated with a numeric rating scale (NRS), range of motion (ROM), physical examination (Patrick test), and score of Harris hip score (HHS). Results After treatment, symptoms of the two patients such as hip joint pain and gait dysfunction were improved. The NRS decreased from 8 (right [Rt.]), 7 (left [Lt.]) to 4 (Rt.), 3 (Lt.) in case 1 and from 9 to 2 in case 2. Also the patients showed improvement in ROM and score of HHS increased from 55.5 to 88.5 in case 1 and from 63.5 to 85.5 in case 2. In addition, positive Patrick test improved to negative. Conclusions Korean medicine treatments including Chuna manual therapy, pharmacopuncture and acupuncture can be effective in relieving pain and recovering the fucnction of hip joint associated with avascular necrosis of the femoral head, even when surgery is recommended. Although further study such as controlled studies is needed.

The Chimgeumdongin(鍼金銅人) is a Acupuncture Bronze Man that casted by Choe Cheonyak(崔天若) the meister and directed by O Jicheol(吳志哲) the royal chief acupuncture doctor of Chosen dynasty(朝鮮) in 1741. Choe Cheonyak casted the Chimgeumdongin at least 12 parts. After welding the parts, engrave the names of acupuncture point on it. It is suggested that there maybe one or more Wooden Acupuncture Man that remedy mistakes for a longtime before 1741. This became a prototype of Chimgeumdongin. The contents of Chimgeumdongin's acupuncture points are equal to which was recited by royal acupuncture doctors for hundreds years. Chimgeumdongin rigorously apply the bone proportional unit measurement of . and the range of error was between 0.01cm~1.67cm. Specially, they made it's head 1.34 times bigger, by long experience. Accoding to , the Chimgeumdongin was used for training inexperienced royal acupuncture doctors. As shown above, the Chimgeumdongin could be represents standard acupuncture technology of Chosen dynasty.
