  • 본 논문에서는 단상 다이오드 정류기와 소용량 직류단 캐패시터를 가지는 전동기 구동 시스템에서 계통 전류에 최소 고조파 전류 주입을 통하여 직류단 전압을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 소용량 직류단 캐패시터를 가지는 전동기 구동 시스템은 직류단전압이 맥동하게 되는데 직류단 전압이 낮은 부분에서는 과도한 약자속 전류가 필요하게 된다. 기존의 연구에서는 직류단 전압을 확보하기 위해 직류단 최소 전압을 설정하는 방법이 제안되었다. 하지만 계통 전류의 고조파 규정 때문에 직류단 최소 전압을 높이는 것은 한계가 있다. 제안된 방법에서는 계통 전류에 고조파를 주입함으로써 기존의 한계보다 더 높은 직류단 최소 전압을 가지면서도 계통 전류의 고조파 규정을 만족시킬 수 있도록 한다. 제안된 방법은 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 타당성을 검증한다.

성대용종환자에서 후두미세수술시에 수술부위에 Triamcinolone 국소주입이 음성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (The Effect of Triamcinolone Injection on the Vocal cord during Laryngeal Microsurgery in the Patient of the Vocal Polyp)

  • Background and Objective : Laryngeal microscopic surgery (LMS) is popular method to treat for vocal polyp. There is not always the improvement of the voice after operation. Many methods have been developed for better outcome of the surgery. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the triamcinolone injection at vocal cord during LMS. Materials and Methods : The medical records of 28 patients, received LMS under diagnosis of vocal polyp, were retrospectively reviewed. The patients were divided into two groups depending on whether triamcinolone injected or not (case group : Triamcinolone-injected group, control group : Triamcinolone-not injected group). The quality of voice was evaluated by GRBAS scale, fundamental frequency (Fo), jitter, shimmer and NHR (Noise to harmonic ratio) at previous operation, 4 weeks after operation, 8 weeks after operation. Each voice analysis factor was compared between case group and control group by Independent t-test. Results : The mean differences of each voice analysis factor. The mean difference of Jitter, Shimmer, NHR in case group were lower than in control group, and mean difference of GRBAS scale in case group were higher than in control group. These differences were not significant (p>0.05). Conclusion : Though there was a tendency of better voice outcome in patients of triamcinolone-injection, it may not be concluded that the triamcinolone injection is helpful for better voice outcome in surgery of vocal polyp due to statistical insignificance.

  • Recently, the interest on power quality has been hot issue. The equipments cause voltage disturbance and has become more sensitive to the voltage disturbance. This paper deals with 5-Level H-Bridge Line-Inter active Dynamic Voltage Restorer(LIDVR) system. The LIDVR has following advantages in comparison with the DVR with series injection transformer It has the power factor near to unity under normal source voltage, can compensate the harmonic current of the load and the instant interruption, and has the fast response. First, the construction, the operation mode and algebraic modeling of LIDVR are reviewed. And then a voltage controller is proposed to get sinusoidal load voltage with constant amplitude. To find PWM method suitable for H-Bridge converter, two PWM methods are compared and analyzed. Finally, simulation results verify the proposed 5-level H-Bridge LIDVR system.

  • The utility-interactive inverter with critical loads should supply continuous and stable voltage to critical loads even during the grid fault. The conventional control method which performs current control for grid-connected mode and voltage control for stand-alone mode undergoes the critical load voltage variation during grid fault. The critical load voltage may have large transient when the inverter performs mode transfer after the islanding detection. Recently, the indirect current control method which does not have the transient state during not only islanding detection but also the mode transfer has been proposed. However, since the voltage control is maintained even during the grid-connected mode it is difficult to detect the islanding. This paper proposes an active anti-islanding method suitable for the indirect current control method which does not have NDZ(Non-Detection Zone).

  • In this study, the dynamic characteristic of a contact wire and pantograph suppling electrical power to high-speed trains are investigated from an electrical response point of view. To analysis power line disturbance by induced contact loss phenomenon for high speed operation, a hardware Simulator which considered contact loss between contact wire and the pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system. One of the most important needs accompanied by increasing the speed of high-speed train is reduced that an arc phenomenon by loss of contact brings out EMI. In case of a high-speed train using electrical power, as comparison with diesel rolling stock, PLD(Power Line Disturbance) such as harmonic, transient voltage and current, EMI, dummy signal injection etc usually occurs. Throughout experiment, it is verified that an arc phenomenon is brought out for simulator operation and consequently conducted noise is flowed in electric circuit by power line disturbance.

To analysis power line disturbance by induced contact loss phenomenon for high speed operation, a hardware Simulator which considered contact loss between contact wire and the pantograph as well as contact wire deviation is developed. It is confirmed that a contact wire and pantograph model are necessary for studying the dynamic behavior of the pantograph system. One of the most important needs accompanied by increasing the speed of high-speed train is reduced that an arc phenomenon by loss of contact brings out EMI. In case of a high-speed train using electrical power, as comparison with diesel rolling stock, PLD(Power Line Disturbance) such as harmonic, transient voltage and current, EMI(Electromagnetic Interference), dummy signal injection etc usually occurs. Throughout experiment, it is verified that an arc phenomenon is brought out for simulator operation and consequently conducted noise is flowed in electric circuit by power line disturbance.

Additionally, the reseach on power electronic equipments applying to the high power has been increased. This paper deals with Line-Interactive Dynamic Voltage Restorer(LIDVR) system using 7-Level H-Bridge inverter, which is one of the solutions to compensate the voltage disturbance and to increase the power of equipments. The LIDVR has the following advantages comparing to the DVR with the series injection transformer. PMSG 기반 풍력발전용 계통연계 인버터의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 새로운 하이브리드 단독운전 방지기법 (A Novel Hybrid Anti-islanding Method to Improve Reliability of Utility Interactive Inverter for a PMSG-based Wind Power Generation System)

  • Islanding in a gird connected inverter of wind power generation system may influence a bad effect on equipments or yield safety hazards on grid so it should be detected rapidly and exactly. A passive method to detect islanding is comparatively simpler than an active method but suffers from non detection zone (NDZ). On the other hand, the active method can significantly reduce NDZ by injecting a disturbance into inverter output. To improve the reliability of islanding detection, this paper proposes a hybrid anti-islanding detection method combining the conventional passive method as well as the active method based on novel harmonic injection method using fourier transform. The proposed scheme is fast to detect islanding when NDZ does not exist because it has the nature of passive method. Under NDZ, the active method can detect occurrence of islanding reliably. The effectiveness and validity of the proposed scheme is proved through comparative simulations.

Effects of a Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) Based on a Soft Switching 48-Pulse PWM Inverter on the Power Demand from the Grid

  • In this paper the effects of a Static Synchronous Series Compensator, which is constructed with a 48-pulse inverter, on the power demand from the grid are studied. Extensive simulation studies were carried out in the MATLAB simulation environment to observe the compensation achieved by the SSSC and its effects on the line voltage, line current, phase angle and real/reactive power. The designed device is simulated in a power system which is comprised of a three phase power source, a transmission line, line inductance and load. The system parameters such as line voltage, line current, reactive power Q and real power P transmissions are observed both when the SSSC is connected to and disconnected from the power system. The motivation for modeling a SSSC from a multi-pulse inverter is to enhance the voltage waveform of the device and this is observed in the total harmonic distortion (THD) analysis performed at the end of the paper. According to the results, the power flow and phase angle can be controlled successfully by the new device through voltage injection. Finally a THD analysis is performed to see the harmonics content. The effect on the quality of the line voltage and current is acceptable according to international standards.
