한지 의류제품의 이미지와 소비자 행태 (Images and Consumer Attitudes & Behaviors of Hanji Clothing Products)

  • The purpose of this research is to examine the images and interest degree and purchase intension of consumer and images according to demographic characteristics for Hanji clothing products. 207 subjects evaluated images for Hanji clothing and attitudes and behaviors of consumer were analysed. For statistical analysis, frequency analysis, factor analysis, mean, pearson correlation coefficients, regression, crosstabs and ANOVA were used. The results were as follows: Image factors of Hanji clothing products were 'luxurious', 'practical', 'wellbeing', and 'traditional'. differences of according to the age and occupation were showed at 'practical', 'wellbeing', and 'traditional' image. Hanji clothing products having highest consumer interest degree and purchase intention were shirts, scarf and handkerchief and Hanji clothing products having highest experience of use was socks. interest degree, experience of use, and purchase intention for Hanji clothing products were increased at high age, office worker. For consideration of Hanji clothing products according to demographics variables, age of 20's-30's and students considered design and functionality and age over 40's and office workers regarded price and quality as important consideration.

한지사 영·유아복 개선 방안 모색을 위한 연구 - 한지와 한지사 영·유아복 이미지 조사를 중심으로 - (Methods to improve infant clothing made with Hanji yarn - Investigating the image of Hanji and Hanji yarn infant clothing -)

  • With environmental pollution becoming a serious problem, recently there has been increased interest in the environment and health. In addition, the development of materials for environmentally friendly and functional clothing has increased. Environmentally friendly products that use bark fibers of the mulberry(dak) tree are expressed in terms of dak fiber and Hanji yarn. This research analyzed consumer's perceived images of Hanji and Hanji yarn infant clothing. The research results are as follows. Based on analyzing images of Hanji and Hanji yarn, Hanji was categorized into four images that can be described as natural, pure, decorative, and functional, and Hanji yarn infant clothing was categorized into three images that can be described as natural, decorative, and functional. Based on the analysis of well-being elements in subjects' lifestyles, the following four inclinations were found: environmental friendliness, pursuit of novelty, life care, and environmental protection. On this basis, the subjects were categorized into three groups: the trend-pursuing group, the life-care group, and the social responsibility group. Subjects' perceived images of Hanji and Hanji yarn infant clothing were investigated, and these products were found to have a strong image of being Korean, traditional, and natural, while being weakly perceived as comfortable, functional, and practical. Analyzing the correlation between images of Hanji and Hanji yarn infant clothing and lifestyle groups revealed that these products were not perceived differently according to group. This study showed that Hanji and Hanji yarn are terms that are commonly associated with positive clothing material. However, both Hanji and Hanji yarn are perceived negatively in terms of functional image, which is an important factor in clothing material. In addition, even among consumers who pursue a lifestyle based on well-being, the functional image of Hanji yarn was not perceived highly. Hence, it is necessary to further examine the effect of terms such as Hanji and Hanji yarn on consumer choices. Therefore, caution is considered needed when using such terms in the marketing of related products.

대마 기반 친환경 의류 제품의 개발 및 활용에 관한 연구 (Development and Utilization of Eco-friendly Products based on Hemp Fabrics)

  • Recently, interest in natural fabric materials that are not harmful has increased, and hemp is being studied as a new eco-friendly product. This study produced hemp fabric with improved flexibility and increased antibacterial properties by blending it with Hanji yarn. Various weaving methods were proposed to overcome the rough physical properties of hemp, and the functions of the developed products were evaluated through antibacterial tests. The mixing ratios of hemp and Hanji yarns was 50% hemp: 50% Hanji weft, 70% hemp: 30% Hanji weft, 30% hemp: 70% Hanji weft, and 100% hemp. Overall, the higher the ratio of Hanji yarn, the higher the fastness property, and the higher the ratio of hemp yarn, the higher the flexibility of the fabric, which was evaluated to be comfortable to wear. The 99.9% antibacterial properties of hemp products were considered to contribute to maintaining the health of modern people. Owing to its high intensity and high air permeability, it is considered highly usable in the production of children's clothing with a lot of activity. It was evaluated as an advantage that the disadvantage of hemp, which was limited as a material for summer clothing, was broadened to use for all seasons due to the fusion of Hanji. Otherwise, low consumer satisfaction as an outdoor wear is a disadvantage because hemp products had low elasticity and wrinkles.

  • Jeonju is well-known as a native place of traditional Hanji from ancient times because of it's proper weather, soil, and sunlights. Traditional Hanji is selected one of the Traditional Cultural Contents Industries of Jeonju nationally, and can produce synergy effects on gaining competition if we develop traditional Hanji industry into high-technology by relating cultural contents. The purposes of this study was to identify consumer attitudes and behaviors toward traditional Hanji products. The results of this study were as followed: 1. Representative products of Jeonju City were a rice with vegetables, a traditional Hanji, and a Korean-style house, and these results showed a consistancy with Han-Brand products promoted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 2. Many consumers experienced of a box, a copy paper, a book or notebook made of Hanji, but less experienced of fashion accessary products. Consumers had higher interests in wall or window paper and copy paper, but had lower interests in fashion accessary products such as necktie, shawl, and folding fan. More consumers intended to use wall or window paper and copy paper, but intended fashion accessary products less. Many kinds of Hanji products were produced and displayed on a Hanji Crafts House, but only few consumers had experiences. 3. Younger generations had higher interests and experiences of Hanji products, and unmarried officiers or full-time house wives had experiences Hanji crafts more. 4. Consumers were interested in daily necessaries or interior products made of Hanji.

한지산업 육성을 위한 표준화 방안 연구 (A Study on Standardization Plan to Foster Hanji Industry)

  • 이 논문은 농촌의 전통문화자원인 한지의 산업화를 위한 표준화의 방향을 모색하는 연구이다. 한지는 종이로서의 쓰임새를 넘어, 융복합화를 통해 건축용, 농업용, 의류용, 의료용, 식품용으로 개발되고 있다. 하지만 표준화가 미흡해 한지시장 확대가 한지관계자의 수익으로 이어지지 못하고 있다. 표준화를 위해서는 첫째, 다른 종이와 차별화되는 한지 고유특성을 반영한 한지의 산업적 정의가 필요하다. 전통성을 유지하되, 한지산업의 현실적 여건을 고려해 한지정의와 품질기준을 설정해야 한다. 둘째, 한지품질을 좌우하는 한지만의 특성(닥섬유 함유량, 장기보존성)을 측정할 수 있는 시험방법을 개발하고, 이를 표준화해야 한다. 셋째, 한지제품 선택 시 소비자 혼란을 방지하기 위해 제품표준이 시급하다. 이미 시장이 형성돼 있거나, 새롭게 개발된 한지 융복합 제품과 기술의 표준화가 필요하다.

침구 쇼핑성향에 따른 한지 침구류 이미지 평가에 관한 연구 (Images of Hanji-Bedclothes According to Bedclothes Shopping Orientation)

  • This study examines shopping orientation regarding bedclothes and the effect of the segmentation of consumers on the image of Hanji yarn bedclothes derived from mulberry fiber in order to contribute to the development of Hanji bedclothes products and consumer marketing segmentation. Data from 294 questionnaires filled out by female consumers in their 30s to 50s were used for statistical analysis. The shopping orientations for bedclothes are classified into six groups (trend oriented, material oriented, price oriented, convenience oriented, individuality oriented, and assurance oriented). Consumers were subdivided into four consumer segments (show-offish, self-confident, reasonable, and unconcerned case) based on shopping orientations for bedclothes. The images of Hanji bedclothes are categorized into four types (classic, practical, aesthetic, and natural) as related to the shopping orientations of consumers. In terms of consumer segmentation, the 'reasonable' segment is more likely to consider the 'classic' image of Hanji bedclothes as the highest image value; however, the 'show-offish' segment provides the highest value to the 'practical' image as compared to other segments.

전통 한지를 활용한 패션 액세서리 상품 개발 II - 관련문헌 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of Fashion Accessary Product made with Korean Traditional Paper Hanji II - Focusing on analysis of the related references -)

  • Korean traditional paper 'Hanji' made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree is a good handicraft material because of its high viscosity, durability, dyeability, toughness, flexibility, plasticity, and manipulability. Hanji has been used as a textile material such as cotton wool for protection and keeping us warm from cold weather. However, Hanji has many limitations, while other textile materials have many advantages of such as washability, being sunproof, and fast coloring. The purpose of this study is to review physical properties, formation ability, and dyeability of Hanji as a material of fashion accessary. The contents of this study are composed of 5 parts: 1. To introduce the necessities of this study, 2. To review a historical background of Hanji and to identify its physical characteristics as a fashion accessary material, 3. To review and to compare techniques such as bonding, quilting, knitting, creasing and holding, twisting, folding & braiding, paper pasting, coloring & cutting, and outwashing(?) in making Hanji fashion accessaries, 4. To review dyeing and finishing techniques to increase commercial value, 5. To identify the best fashion accessary materials made of Hanji. The most important characteristics of Hanji as a fashion accessary material are its toughness in a wet state, fast color fixing, and flexibility. Especially weaving and knitting are considered as the most desirable techniques to make fashion accessary products stronger and more practical.

전주 한옥마을의 이미지를 활용한 패션문화상품 디자인 개발 - 디지털 프린팅 넥타이를 중심으로 - (A study on developments of fashion and culture products using Jeonju Hanok Village image - Centered on digital printing neckties -)

  • This research is implemented to shed new light on the essence of Korean sentiments, aesthetic sense and restructure it in modern ways. In particular, applying the current images of traditional Korean village in Jeonju to neckties is focused on the purpose of globalizing the industrialization of Korean traditional sceneries and Korean image products. Adobe Photoshop CS program was used to develop necktie designs containing the images of the traditional Korean village. To make artworks, the Digital Textile Printing System that is an environment-friendly printing method was used. Moreover, Hanji yarn fabric was adopted for them so as to use Korean materials. The total number of developed designs is eight and neckties for men were made by altering images of the traditional Korean village in modern ways. According to the research results, required are more investment and self-development for proper understandings on our traditional cultural images and their development from now on. Moreover, in my view, customers' desires must be met by comprehending public consciousness, trends and environments to meet customer's desires. Furthermore, higher value-added products must be created by using Hanji yarn and images of traditional Korean villages by distributing high quality designs that will satisfy customers' desires and psychology, producing small quantities of products with various designs and colors.

닥 펄프 제조공정 자동화에 따른 단위공정 폐수의 특성 (Characteristics of wastewater from unit systems of automative process for manufacture of paper mulberry pulp fibers)

  • Paper mulberry fibers have been used as fibrous raw materials for manufacturing traditional handmade paper, hanji for a long time. Compared to wood pulp fibers, pulp fibers from mulberry bast tissue have some benefits in physical and chemical properties due to their high D.P (degree of polymerization), M.W (molecule weight) and long fiber length. Specially, Korean handmade hanji shows outstanding characteristics in mechanical tensile strength, folding endurance, flexibility and long sustainable conservation properties. Therefore, hanji is widely applied to daily supplies, hygienic goods, medical supplies, clothing industries and so on. Recently, the potential demand of mulberry pulp fibers is more and more increased on the strength of high application fields. This study was focused on the possibility of wastewater recycling in unit operation systems for the development of automated mass production line. The properties and environmental loads of wastewater from debarking, cooking, bleaching and screening process were analyzed by means of COD, conductivity, turbidity and solid materials. The wastewater from debarking and cooking process was comparatively high in pollution load, and would be treated by additional approaches of chemico-physical method.

김현정의 한국화에 나타난 한국 전통 복식의 표현 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic Expression of Korean Traditional Costumes shown in the Korean Paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristic expression of Korean traditional costumes shown in the Korean paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung. The study analyzed the paintings by Kim Hyun-Jung to find out the characteristics of the contemporary Korean paintings and the expression of Korean traditional costumes. The characteristics of Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows: 1) The paintings are drawn by using Korean traditional painting methods and finished with Korean traditional paper, hanji. Moreover, they show the Korean traditional costume as main subject material. 2) They use modern painting methods, such as collage, and show pop art characters by use of contemporary popular products. 3) The artist communicates with the public through SNS and YouTube, and shows characteristics of popular art through commercial art products and advertisements. The characteristics of the Korean traditional costume in Kim Hyun-Jung's works are as follows. 1) The hanbok shown in the paintings is a traditional style with tight jeogori and wide chima. Chima is drawn in thin coloring with Korean ink and jeogori is expressed with semi-transparent hanji in various patterns and colors, which shows the subject 'coy'. 2) Various kinds of Korean traditional accessories and modernized flower shoes with high heels are shown as subject materials. The art works by contemporary Korean artists are expected to be the route to give valuable information to the public about Korean traditional costumes as well as the trendy Korean culture.
