  • Adhesives are becoming increasingly accepted for advanced engineering/boding tasks. Therefore the understanding of the basic principles and the benefits of elastic bonding and structural bonding respectively is of utmost importance. Structural bonding means adhesive performance in load-bearing environments. Furthermore. the time to achieve handling strength has an impact on the economics of an assembly line. The paper gives briefly a summary about the fundamentals of elastic bonding and discusses different adhesive systems in the context of handling strength. Hereby the focus lies on the Warm Melt Technology, and its potential is compared to standard adhesives (l-part, 2-part and Booster Technology, a special 2-C system). Examples illustrate their economical benefits.   • To promote process effectiveness and efficiency, it is necessary that port logistics employ automated equipments for handling containers. There exists a system for automatically managing the container flow, called Control Module. However, it has limitation to assign the execution order to the machine and monitor the container flow in real time process. Business process management (BPM) provides a suitable and effective framework to address this problem including controlling and monitoring the flow of each container. Since the nature of container handling process is different with the common process in BPM that is conducted by human performer, it is necessary to adjust the BPM framework in the domain of port logistic management. This study presents a BPM framework corresponds with both human-based and machine-based activity to enhance the efficiency of port process flow including container flow. This framework is introduced as an integrated approach and mechanism of BPM application into the container handling system for the purpose of port logistics process automation.

Design parameter analysis for ATSC 1.0 single frequency networks based on receiver multipath handling performance

  • This work proposes suitable network configurations for single frequency networks (SFNs) with ATSC 1.0 based on network coverage calculations and the laboratory multipath handling performance of commercial receivers. SFNs are widely used for delivering terrestrial digital television services because of their efficient use of the spectrum. In Mexico the analogue television transmissions switch-off occurred on 31 December 2016. Thus it is expected the adopted ATSC 1.0 system will be in force for the next several years despite the recent standardization of the ATSC 3.0 system. As ATSC 1.0 uses 8-VSB modulation the multipath handling capability of receivers is critical for the design of SFNs. The presented network planning results help develop technical normativity for implementing SFNs in Mexico and other countries that use ATSC 1.0. SFNs with transmitter separation up to 130 km are fully covered for outdoor reception mainly due to the directivity of the receiving antenna. Moreover for indoor reception at least 70% of an SFN coverage area can be achieved with a transmitter separation of up to 60 km depending on the radiated power and the transmitter antenna height.

  • Recently the importance of the cargo handling equipments in a port has been increasing to get strong competition from other ports. Many ports are making efforts to modernize their cargo handling equipments. The kernel technology of such equipments is the speed control of DC motor which is used as an essential part of them. In this paper, we discuss the speed control of a DC motor as a basic work for building cargo handling equipments in a port. DC Motors are still widely used in industrial fields, as driving power motor for electrical fields. DC drives, being easy to control, are widely used in many variable-speed and position control drive system. Traditional analog control circuits used in such applications have many disadvantages. Complex control schemes are difficult to implement with analog components. All these factor and invention of the microprocessor has made it possible to use digital control circuits, using microprocessing system. These digital circuits have been found to be reliable, flexible, and also immune to noise. In this paper it presents the speed control of a SCR DC motor driver which using dual converter by 80c196kc microprocessor. We developed a thyristor power amplifier which does not cause damage thyristor because it is designed to prevent triggering the two SCRs in the same arm simultaneously. And it was analyzed voltage and currents wave at reactive load.

  • 컴퓨터가 널리 보급되고 정보통신 기술이 발전함에 따라 지리적으로 먼거리에 있는 사람에게 정보를 주고받을 수 있게 되었는데, 안전한 데이타의 송수신은 그 중요성이 더해가고 있다. 이런 시점에서 ISO가 OSI 환경에서 안전성 제공을 위해 IS 7498-2로 발표한 OSI Security Architecture에서는 5가지 안전성 서비스틀 제공하였다. 본 논문에서는 이들 중 이미 발생한 통신 사실을 부인할 수 없도록 하는 부인봉쇄 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 부인봉쇄 서비스 구현 모델을 MHS(Message Handling System)상에 설계하였으며, 구현방안을 제시하였다.
