  • This study investigates whether the image of the casual Hanbok brand is being communicated to consumers successfully. We conducted a semantic network analysis to identify ways of revitalizing communication between casual Hanbok brands and consumers; in addition, we quantitatively evaluated the effectiveness of communication marketing through Quadratic Assignment Procedure (QAP) analysis. Unstructured data from 2014-2021 were collected through portal sites and then refined and networked. Our analysis showed that casual Hanbok brands generally target younger people and that different brands employ similar methods to promote and popularize the casual Hanbok style. Consumers tended to recognize and show interest in casual Hanbok, suggesting the potential to expand the market to Blue Ocean. However, some of our findings revealed the potential factors of style coordination risk and prejudice against existing Hanbok, which could potentially hinder casual Hanbok's uptake and adoption. We conclude that increasing the demand for casual Hanbok depends not only on delivering an accurate brand image to consumers but also on balancing fashion with traditional images when planning products and providing styling information.

The ratio of use for each color and the width of each color were determined with reference to previous studies. The average color value was determined through color analysis of the Saekdong collections. • In this study, in order to obtain basic data on the development of a new hanbok skirt pattern for developing a customizing system, a new hanbok brand skirt pattern was compared and analyzed. After analyzing the patterns of six new hanbok brands, virtual simulation was performed to evaluate the appearance, clothing pressure, and airgap. As a result of analyzing the waist skirt patterns of commercial new hanbok brands A, B, C, D, E, and F, it was found that they were produced in different dimensions despite the free size skirt of the same design. The pattern of new hanbok waist skirt was composed of a flat pattern like the traditional hanbok. As a result of appearance evaluation, it was evaluated that there were significant differences between the patterns of the six brands in all the evaluation items on the front, side, and back. In the appearance evaluation, it was evaluated that the waist skirt of the B brand was excellent. As a result of examining the color distribution and airgap, it was evaluated that the airgap was large in most parts due to the characteristics of the waist skirt worn around the waist, and the garment pressure was low. In this paper, we propose a basic data for standardizing dimensions and patterns according to activation New Hanbok. It is thought that a unified pattern development based on the B brand pattern should be made.

  • This study attempted to find out the difference in the patterns of jeogori between commercially available Shinhanbok brands by comparing and analyzing the patterns of the changing Shinhanbok jeogori in consideration of material characteristics, fit, and fastening. After purchasing and disassembling 6 products, analysis was conducted with the disassembly pattern. As a result of analyzing the shape of the jeogori, the 1st, 3rd and 6th brands showed no darts. In the case of the 5th brand, the three-dimensional effect of the human body was expressed with a princess line. As a result of the appearance evaluation, the 5 brands were evaluated as the highest in most items except for the space of the front width and the group wrinkles of back sleeve armhole, and the appearance was analyzed to be the best. As a result of evaluating the clothing pressure, it was analyzed that the chest circumference of the first brand was smaller than that of the other brands, and the shoulder width and shoulder length were also shorter, and pulling occurred even after wearing. As the demand for new hanbok increases, it is believed that it is necessary to establish a size system for ready-made clothes.
