포켓의 깊이가 공기 베어링 스테이지의 햄머링 현상에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Pocket Depth on the Hammering Behavior of an Air Bearing Stage)

  • An air-bearing stage uses externally pressurized air as the lubricant between the stage and the rail. The supporting force generated by the supplied air makes the stage rise and move smoothly with extremely low friction. Mechanical contacts rarely happen, the bearing surfaces do not produce wear particles, and dust is not generated. It also has the advantage of having low energy loss and high precision. Because of its advantages, an air-bearing stage is used in several types of machines that require high precision. In this article, the effect of the pocket depth on the hammering phenomena of the air bearing is studied. An analysis program is developed to calculate the dynamic behavior of the stage by solving the Reynolds equation between the stage and the guideway and the equations of motion on the stage. The acceleration, constant movement, and deceleration are applied to the stage. The stage is modeled as a five-degree-of-freedom system. In the course of the dynamic behavior, the hammering phenomena occur under some special conditions. The deeper the pocket, the more unstable the behavior of the stage, and air hammering occurs when it exceeds a certain depth. In addition, the higher the supply pressure, the more unstable the behavior of the stage. However, hammering occurs even with a shallow pocket depth. Other conditions that affect the hammering phenomena are calculated and discussed.

  • Pump of high lift use to development of a technological level according as a building grow big. Water-Hammer to increase by valve of fast to closing agreeably to pipe laying to accept electronic valve, because by a damage of piping-system and the devil knows injury of vibration. Water-Hammer take a low effect to various method for solve. A New type manufacture develop and testing of pipe line to same to axis use to accumulator for water-Hammer to low effect and liner control of pressure. Impact-pressure of absorption ability and confirmation to decrease of vibration level through to preexistence manufactures and comparative test. Water-hammer and pipe vibration make low of piping system.

화력발전소 주증기배관에서 밸브 차단에 따른 수증기 충격 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Steam Hammering Characteristics by Sudden Closure of Main Stop Valve in the Main Steam Piping System of a Power Plant)

  • 본 연구는 화력발전소 최종과열기에서 고압터빈 사이 배관과 고압터빈을 지난 곳에 있는 체크밸브와 1차 재열기 사이 배관을 포함한 수증기 배관시스템에서 터빈의 급작스런 사고로 인해 터빈으로 들어가는 수증기를 차단할 때 발생하는 수증기 충격이 배관시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구이다. 이를 위해서 수격현상 해석에 많이 사용하는 Flowmaster 소프트웨어로 배관시스템을 모델링하고 시간 변화에 따라 배관 내부의 압력, 질량유량률의 특성을 파악하였다. 이러한 특성으로부터 수증기 충격이 주로 영향을 미치는 곡관에서 수증기 충격에 의한 힘을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 수증기 충격은 주증기 차단 밸브 직전의 곡관과 체크밸브 이후에 바이패스 배관과 연결되는 곡관에서 수증기 충격에 의한 힘이 가장 크게 나타남을 밝혀냈다. 본 연구에서는 이렇게 도출한 힘의 기본 자료를 이용하여 차후 연구에서 화력발전소 수증기 배관시스템의 수증기 충격 시 곡관과 지지대의 안전성을 진단하는 토대를 구축하였다.

  • Usual LEO satellite for earth observation use a blowdown hydrazine monopropellant propulsion system for attitude hold and orbit maintenance. For precision control, thruster valve has very short closing time, but this can cause water hammering and pressure surge. Since water hammering and pressure surge can cause damage of propulsion system and ununiform thrust, Thruster valve closing is one of the special concern during satellite propulsion system design. In this paper, an analysis for propellant feed system is conducted using the method of characteristics. The results represent water hammer effect is negligible even at the worst case and pressure surge can be decreased effectively with a trim orifice.

가압 펌프장에서 설계인자들이 수격에 의한 압력변동에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Design Factors in a Pump Station on Pressure Variations by Water Hammering)

  • In this study, the effect of design factors in a pump station on the pressure variations which are the main cause of water hammering has been investigated by numerical simulations. As design factors, the flow rate, Young's modulus, diameter, thickness, roughness coefficient of pipeline are considered. The relationships between the pressure variations and the design factors are analyzed. The results show that the pressure variation increases sensitively with the flow rate and Young's modulus, and increases gradually with the thickness and roughness coefficient of pipe, whereas it decreases with the pipe diameter. The wavelength of the pressure wave becomes longer for a smaller Young's modulus, a smaller pipe thickness and a bigger pipe diameter. These relationships are nondimensionalized, and logarithmic curve-fitted functions are proposed by regression analysis. Most effective factors on the nondimensional pressure variation is Young's modulus. Flow rate, roughness coefficient, relative thickness and pipe diameters are the next impact factors.

  • Al2O3 powders with particle sizes of 0.35 ㎛, 0.5 ㎛, 1.5 ㎛, and 2.5 ㎛ are deposited onto glass and Cu substrates using the aerosol deposition (AD) process. The deposition characteristics of Al2O3 films using those four types of Al2O3 powders are investigated to determine the influence of the particle size on the films. To observe detailed micro-structures of the films, the cross-section and surface morphology are observed. Then, the crystalline size and internal strain are calculated from X-ray diffraction peaks in order to confirm the hammering effect as well as the micro-strain during the AD deposition. From the above results, deposition mechanisms related to the particle size are studied. The results of this study indicate the optimal particle size and formation mechanisms for dense Al2O3 film with a smooth surface roughness as well as for a porous Al2O3 film with a rough surface roughness.

닫힌 그루브를 갖는 외부가압 공기 패드 베어링의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics of Externally Pressurized Air Pad Bearings with Closed Loop Grooves)

  • This paper presents a theoretical investigation of the dynamic characteristics of externally pressurized air pad bearings with closed loop grooves. These grooves are made on the surface of bearings to reduce the number of supply holes so that manufacturing costs can be reduced. The semi-implicit method is applied to calculate the time varying pressure profile on the air bearing surface owing to the advantages of numerical stability and fast time tracing characteristics. The static pressure of the groove bearings is much higher than that without grooves, so the groove bearings can provide high load carrying capacity. The equation of motion considering vertical motion and tilting motion are also solved using the Runge-Kutta 4th order method. By combining the semi-implicit method and the Runge-Kutta method, fast calculations of the dynamic behavior of the air bearing can be achieved. The variations of bearing reaction force, air film reaction moment, height, and tilting angle are investigated for the step force input, which is 20% higher than the bearing reaction, when the nominal clearance is 6 mm. The effect of the groove width and the groove depth are investigated by calculating the dynamic behavior. The possibility of the air hammering with the depth of the groove is found and discussed.

Characteristic of Friction on Texturing Bearing Steel with Ultrasonic Hole Machine

  • We carry out experiments to characterize textured bearing steel with varying hole density and depth. Textured surface is believed to reduce the friction coefficient, and improve performance and wearing caused by third-body contact. We employ three lubrication regime conditions based on the Stribeck curve: boundary lubrication, mixed lubrication, and hydrodynamic lubrication. Ultrasonic machining is an untraditional machining method wherein abrasive grit particles are used. The hammering process on the work piece surface by abrasive provides the desired form. In this study, we create multi-holes on the bearing steel surface for texturing purposes. Holes are formed by an ultrasonic machine with a diameter of 0.534 mm and a depth of about 2-4 mm, and they are distributed on the contact surface with a density between 1.37-2.23%. The hole density over the surface area is an important factor affecting the friction. We test nine types of textured specimens using four times replication and compare them with the untextured specimen using graphs, as well as photographs taken using a scanning electron microscope. We use Analyzes variant in this experiment to find the correlation between each pair of treatments. Finally, we report the effect of hole density and depth on the friction coefficient.
