  • A boundary layer analysis is used to study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using the shooting method. The effects of various parameters of the problem, e.g. the magnetic parameter, Hall parameter, ion-slip parameter, buoyancy parameter and material parameter are discussed and shown graphically.

  • The effects of the movable reflectors on the stage acoustics in Seoul's Sejong Performing Arts Center (3,048-seat multi-purpose hall, stage area of $270m^2$ within an orchestra shell) and Ceramic Palace Hall (440-seat concert hall, stage area of $105m^2$) were investigated. Acoustical parameters were evaluated by measuring stage and audience acoustics in the two halls. The study was primarily based on the stage support parameter STI proposed by Gade (Acustica 65, pp.193-203, 1989). Results showed that STI varied on the stage of the large hall according to the position of the reflectors, whereas STI did not vary in the small hall. In the large hall, a smaller clear stage area (bounded by the reflectors) yields an increase in both STI and other early energy measures. In the small hall, early energy decreases when its stage's surface diffusion was covered with specular reflectors.

  • This investigation is concerned with the disturbances in a homogeneous transversely isotropic thermoelastic rotating medium with two temperature, in the presence of the combined effects of Hall currents and magnetic field due to normal force of ramp type. The formulation is applied to the thermoelasticity theories developed by Green-Naghdi Theories of Type-II and Type-III. Laplace and Fourier transform technique is applied to solve the problem. The analytical expressions of displacements, stress components, temperature change and current density components are obtained in the transformed domain. Numerical inversion technique has been applied to obtain the results in the physical domain. Numerically simulated results are depicted graphically to show the effects of Hall current and anisotropy on the resulting quantities. Some special cases are also deduced from the present investigation.

  • The present article is concerned about the study of disturbances in a homogeneous nonlocal magneto-thermoelastic medium under the combined effects of hall current, rotation and two temperatures. The model under assumption has been subjected to normal force. Laplace and Fourier transform have been used for finding the solution to the field equations. The analytical expressions for conductive temperature, stress components, normal current density, transverse current density and displacement components have been obtained in the physical domain using a numerical inversion technique. The effects of hall current and nonlocal parameter on resulting quantities have been depicted graphically. Some particular cases have also been figured out from the current work. The results can be very important for the researchers working in the field of magneto-thermoelastic materials, nonlocal thermoelasticity, geophysics etc.

  • In the current development of magnetic sensors based on the Hall effect, the following two approaches can be distinguished. The first, one tries to build better sensor based on conventional Hall devices. The innovations come through a better understand of the details If the operating principle and secondary effects, and through the application If ever-improving microelectronics technology. In the second approach, one hopes to build better sensors by making use of the Hall effect in active devices, such as magneto-transistors and MAGFET. In this paper, we study magnetic properties of Hall device fabricated with series and parallel multilayers.

  • The silicon vertical hall devices are fabricated using a modified bipolar process. It consists of the thin p-layer at Si-$SiO_2$, interface and n-epi layer without $n^+$buried layer to improve the sensitivity and influence of interface effects. Experimental samples are a sensor type I with and type H without p+isolation dam adjacent to the center current electrode. The experimental results for both type show a more high current-related sensitivity than the former's vertical hall devices. The sensitivity of type H and type I are about 150 V/AT and 340 V/AT, respectively. This sensor's behavior can be explained by the similar J-FET model.

  • This investigation is focused on the study of effect of hall current in transversely isotropic magneto thermoelastic homogeneous medium with fractional order heat transfer and rotation. As an application the bounding surface is subjected to normal force. The research becomes more interesting due to interaction of Hall current with the effect of rotation as it has found various applications. Laplace and Fourier transform is used for solving field equations. The analytical expressions of temperature, displacement components, stress components and current density components are computed in the transformed domain. The effects of hall current and fractional order parameter at different values are represented graphically.

  • This article describes the useful way to measure the torque and RPM of the geared motor. For this, we have made the planetary geared reduction motor including the torque sensor unit which consists of hall effects sensor and permanent magnet. Our monitoring system displays the sensing values (torque, rpm) and the calculated value (power) and it also has the network capability using the Bluetooth protocol. We will show that our solution is much more inexpensive and simple method to measure torque and rpm than before.
