  • In this paper, the thermoelastic interactions in a two-dimension porous body are studied. This problem is solved by using the Green and Lindsay (GL) generalized thermoelasticity model under fractional time derivative. The derived approaches are estimated. with numeral results which are applied to the porous mediums in simplifying geometrical. The bounding plane surface of the present half-space continuum is subjected to a pulse heat flux. We use the Laplace-Fourier transforms methods with the eigenvalues approach to solve the problem. The numerical solutions for the field functions are obtained numerically using the numerical Laplace inversion technique. The effects of the fractional parameter and the thermal relaxation times on the temperature field, the displacement field, the change in volume fraction field of voids distribution and the stress fields have been calculated and displayed graphically and the obtained results are discussed.

  • A solution is given for the elastodynamic problem of a crack perpendicular to the graded interfacial zone in bonded materials under the action of anti plane shear impact. The interfacial zone is modeled as a nonhomogeneous interlayer with the power-law variations of its shear modulus and mass density between the two dissimilar, homogeneous half-planes. Laplace and Fourier integral transforms are employed to reduce the transient problem to the solution of a Cauchy-type singular integral equation in the Laplace transform domain. Via the numerical inversion of the Laplace transforms, the values of the dynamic stress intensity factors are obtained as a function of time. As a result, the influences of material and geometric parameters of the bonded media on the overshoot characteristics of the dynamic stress intensities are discussed. A comparison is also made with the corresponding elastostatic solutions, addressing the inertia effect on the dynamic load transfer to the crack tips for various combinations of the physical properties.

  • It is known that no two of the roots of the polynomial equation (1) $$\prod\limits_{l=1}^{n}(x-r_l)+\prod\limits_{l=1}^{n}(x+r_l)=0$$, where 0 < $r_1{\leq}r_2{\leq}{\cdots}{\leq}r_n$, can be equal and all of its roots lie on the imaginary axis. In this paper we show that for 0 < h < $r_k$, the roots of $$(x-r_k+h)\prod\limits_{{l=1}\\{l{\neq}k}}^{n}(x-r_l)+(x+r_k-h)\prod\limits_{{l=1}\\{l{\neq}k}}^{n}(x+r_l)=0$$ and the roots of (1) in the upper half-plane lie alternatively on the imaginary axis.

  • Booster is used widely as one of the step-up DC/DC power converter in power conversion process for fuel cell power plant which have the electrical characteristic of the high current density and low cell voltage. In view of control system, booster can be unstable when it is operated in broad operation range because the transfer function of booster has zero in right half plane of s-domain. So for reliable operation, controller must make the system stable in whole working range. In this paper, the two control method such as digital PID control and fuzzy control is studied for booster output voltage regulation in fuel cell plant. The design procedure of PID control and fuzzy control is described. And the experiment of designed controller action is performed in various operation points for controller performance test.

  • In the Korean construction market the housing exceeds more than 60% among the entire objects for remodelling. And among the 50% of the common residence that needs remodelling, half of them are common houses with hallways. In respect of remodelling the common houses with hallways to those with stairways, This investigation aims at not only increasing the area by simply enlarging it, but also elevating the residential value by improving the environment based on the study of the existing plane with stairways. In order to do so, the satisfaction rate after living in common residence either with stairways or with hallways according to size (10, 20, 30 pyong), public space and interior environment is investigated through questionnaire. Therefore, this study tries to discover and analyze the positive and negative aspects of common residence with hallways.

  • SrS:Ce thin films for blue EL devices were prepared by Hot Wall Method and their crystallographic and optical characteristics were investigated by various methods. Deposition rates were increased with SrS cell temperature, but the rates were independent on substrate temperature and sulfur pressure. The optical and crystallographic characteristics were strongly affected by deposition rates. The band gap energies obtained by optical transmission spectra and Full Width at Half Maximum of (200) plane in X-ray diffraction patterns were found at 4.5-4.6eV and $0.22~0.26^{\circ}$, respectively. The photoluminescence from SrS:Ce thin tiles showed a greenish blue omission peaked at 470 and 540nm.

  • By virtue of progress of computer science, CAD/CAM technology has been developed greatly in each area. But the problems in the integration of CAD/CAM are not yet solved completely. The reason is that the exchange of data between CAD and CAM is difficult because the domains of design and manufacturing are different in nature. To solve this problem, a feature based modeller is developed in this study, which makes it possible to communicate between design and manufacturing through features. The modeller has feature, the concept of semi-bounded plane is introduced, and implemented as a B-rep sheet model using half-edge data structure. The features are then created on a part by local modification of the boundary on a part based on feature template information. This approach generalizes the modelling of features in a geometry model.

  • A numerical procedure for the analysis of slender arch buckling problems for uniform dead weight is presented in this paper. Such loading changes in the arch profile. The problem is nonlinear. The numerical procedure is limited to an inextensible analysis and to elastic behavior. Based upon a numerical integration technique developed by Newmark for straight beams, a large deflection bending analysis is combined with small deflection buckling routines to formulate the numerical procedure. The numerical procedure is composed of a combination of the numerical integration and successive approximations procedure. The results obtained in this study are as follows : 1.The critical loads obtained in this study coincide with the results by Austin so that the algorithm developed in this study is verified. 2.The numerical results are converged with good precision when the half arch is divided into 10 segments in both Prime and Quadratic section. 3.The critical loads are decreased as the ratios of rise versus span are increased. 4.The critical loads are increased as the moments of inertia at the ends are increased. 5.The critical loads of Prime section are larger than that of Quadratic section under the same profile conditions.

  • Ground track manintenance maneuver simulations for the KOMPSAT spacecraft are performed for three and half years. Both longitude targeting and time targeting strate-gies are applied for in-plane maneuvers. The nominal longitude bands of maneuvers for $\pm5km$ and $\pm10km$ are applied for the longitude targeting and the 21-day maneuver time duration is used for the time targeting. Daily solar flux values for the simulation period are derived from the previous solar cycle values. Atmospheric drag formula for the KOMPSAT orbit altitude is derived from Jacchia model using polynomial and sinusoidal curve fitting. Total required delta velocity and proper time between successive maneuvers are estimated during ground track maintenance maneuver simulations.

  • In this article we study the inclusion properties of the Bessel-Struve kernel functions in the Janowski class. In particular, we find the conditions for which the Bessel-Struve kernel functions maps the unit disk to right half plane. Some open problems with this aspect are also given. The third order differential subordination involving the Bessel-Struve kernel is also considered. The results are derived by defining suitable classes of admissible functions. One of the recurrence relation of the Bessel-Struve kernel play an important role to derive the main results.
