여성의 생활만족도와 헤어스타일행동 및 헤어스타일 이미지 선호의 관계 연구 (A Study of Hairstyle Behavior and Hairstyle Image Preference Related to Life Satisfaction of Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between the hairstyle behavior, hairstyle image preference and life satisfaction of women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, and to examine the differences of the hairstyle behavior, hairstyle image preference, and preferred hairstyle according to demographic variables. The research method was a survey method using a questionnaire. Total of 674 women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s were tested, 309 of whom residing in the Seoul metropolitan area, with the remaining 365 residing in Gangweon-Do. Life satisfaction factors such as socio-economic satisfaction, happiness, and physical satisfaction significantly influenced the women's hairstyle behavior. The women with higher level of physical satisfaction had higher level of conformity, individuality, fashion, and interpersonal orientation of hairstyle. It also showed that the higher the level of socio-economic satisfaction meant greater preference for graceful hairstyle images. As well as the level of happiness correlated with the preference for feminine and sophisticated hairstyle images. The women who preferred long layered wave hairstyles liked feminine, natural, and sophisticated hairstyle images. The women in their late 40s had higher interpersonal orientation of hairstyle than those in their early 20s and 30s. Overall, a natural hairstyle image was favored the most, whereas a unique image was favored the least.

여대생의 신체적 특징에 따른 의복행동 및 헤어스타일 행동에 관한 연구 (Clothing and Hairstyle Behavior Dependence on the Physical Characteristics of college Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how female college students' physical characteristics affect their and hairstyle behavior. The study methodology was a survey, with questions gathered from the previous research surveys and collated by the author. The study subjects 350 female college students in Gwangju, Korea. This survey was performed from November 8thto 13th 2004, and 348 questionnaires were finally used for the study analysis.. The research results are summarized as follows: 1. As a result of the analysis on the research variants, costume behavior was derived from four factors clothing sympathy, clothing exhibition, clothing convenience, clothing aesthetics. Hairstyle behavior was derived from five factors: hair sympathy, hair individuality, hair aesthetics, dependency on hair designer, and hair convenience. 2. The difference between clothing and hairstyle behavior according to physical characteristics showed that clothing and hairstyle behavior make a significant difference according to the height, weight, study major, spending money, and family income. 3. There was a positive correlation among clothing and hairstyle behavior clothing Female college students showed the same differences in clothing behavior as in hairstyle behavior according to their own physical characteristics. When more satisfied with their body shape, they tended to pursue a clothing aesthetic. When more dissatisfied with their body shape, they tended to pursue a comfortable and acceptable look, which does not attract others' attention, rather than pee the changes of hairstyle and fashion.

한국과 호주여성의 헤어스타일 행동 및 선호도 비교 (A Comparative Study of Korean and Australian Women's Hairstyle Behavior and Preference)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the hairstyles between Korean and Australian women, who have different individual hair characteristics, social backgrounds, and culture from each other. Data were collected through a survey of 208 Australian females and 392 Koreans. Frequency analysis, t-test, and two-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The results are as follows: Korean and Australian women maintain a hairstyle for six months or less in most of the cases. They preferred a hairstyle with bang, and the elderly especially a shorter hair length. Choosing their hairstyles depended on such factors as hair length, dyeing, form of face, harmony with clothing, and social status. There was no difference, however, in a preferred hair length. Korean women possessed brown and black hair colors in a descending order, whereas Australians light blonde and brown in a descending order as well. There was a big difference in the preference for a permanent wave. Korean women preferred to give a volume or curl to their hair, while Australians wanted to have a straight hair. According to the study on a hairstyle behavior, it was found that there were differences in fashion and individuality between two countries and also in dependency among age groups, whereas no differences existed in beauty.

1인 미용실 이용자의 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 점포선택요인 및 헤어스타일추구행동 차이 분석 (Analysis of differences in store choice and hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle types of one-person hair salon users)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a lifestyle scale for one-person hair salon users and to identify differences in store choice factors and hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle types. Data was collected by survey, with 225 responses being included in the analysis. Data analysis was performed using cross-analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's α, cluster analysis, ANOVA and the Duncan-test using SPSS 23.0 analysis software. The results of the study were as follows. First, one-person hair salon users were classified according to the following lifestyle groups: The rational appearance management group, the passive appearance management group, and the discriminative appearance management group. Second, store choice factors according to lifestyle group showed significant group-specific differences in relation to store atmosphere, accessibility, and promotion. Conversely, comfort of space in store and word-of-mouth recommendation message were high for all three groups, indicating that these are important factors in relation to store selection. Third, with regard to hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle, the discriminative appearance management group showed the same characteristics as high involvement groups that regard all dimensions of hairstyle pursuit behavior as important. The results of this study can be used to suggest efficient operations for one-person hair salons and to suggest differentiated marketing strategies to increase the demand of one-person hair salon users.

Appearance Management Behaviors according to Personality Type and Self-Image of High School Girls

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate appearance management behaviors and hairstyle preferences in accordance with personality types and self-image, and to examine the characteristics that influence simultaneously the appearance management behaviors. A survey was used for as for this research. The personality properties of introversion and extroversion were further divided, based on the aspects of emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal psychological functions. The subjects were 383 girls in their first year of high school in Seoul. The extrovert type showed a higher level of management for clothing, hair and face than the introvert type. The emotional extrovert type and the interpersonal extrovert type showed the highest level of clothing management, the active extrovert type showed the highest level of face management, and the interpersonal introvert type showed a very low level of hail management. The high school girls who had a higher social and mature self-image showed a higher level of clothing, hair and face management. Introverted girls preferred a mid-length straight hairstyle more than extroverted girls. The higher the social and mature self-images girls had, the more they preferred a long wave hairstyle. The higher the cute image they had, the more they preferred wave hairstyle. The entire appearance management behavior was affected significantly by extroversion, mature image, and allowance, simultaneously.

성역할정체감에 따른 외모관리행동 및 신체노출태도에 관한 연구 (A Study of Appearance Management Behaviors and Body Exposure Attitudes according to Sex Role Identity)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of appearance management behavior and body exposure attitude according to sex role identity. The method of this study was a survey research method by questionnaire. The subjects were 632 college students (male: 302, female: 330) living in Seoul area. The data were analyzed by SPSS program. Analysis methods used were frequency, factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$-reliability coefficient, one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The subjects were divided into 4 types of sex role identity: androgynous, masculine, feminine, and undifferentiated type. The female androgynous group had skin care the most, while the male androgynous type had clothing management and weight control the most among the 4 types. Both male and female androgynous groups had hairstyle care the most. Both the male and female masculine groups wore chest exposing clothes the most, while the female masculine type wore shoulder exposing and leg exposing clothes the most. The female androgynous group showed the highest appearance management expenses.

여고생들의 연예인 모방유형에 따른 외모관리행동의 차이 - 교복변형, 헤어스타일, 화장을 중심으로 - (Appearance Management Activities of Female High School Students Through Star-Entertainer Imitation - School Uniform Modification, Hairstyle, and Makeup -)

  • 본 연구는 여고생들의 연예인 모방유형에 따라 외모관리행동 즉, 교복 변형행동, 헤어스타일 관리행동, 화장 관리행동 등에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 전북에 거주하는 여자고등학생 379명의 데이터가 사용되었고 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 군집분석, 일원배치분산분석, 교차분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 전북지역 여고생들은 연예인 모방유형에 따라 적극적 수행형, 심리적 욕구형, 연예인 호감형으로 분류되었다. 연예인 모방행동과 모방욕구의 평균이 가장 높았던 적극적 수행형 여고생들은 교복변형 경험이 가장 높았으며, 드라마속 연예인이 입고 나오는 교복스타일을 따라해 보고 싶어하고, 연예인 교복스타일로 교복을 변형한 경험이 있는 등 연예인 교복스타일에 많은 영향을 받았다. 또한 최신 유행헤어스타일을 인식하고 연예인의 헤어스타일을 선호하는 등 헤어스타일 관리행동에 더 적극적이었다. 그리고 매일 기초화장을 하고, 화장법을 배우고 싶어하는 등 화장 관리행동에 더 적극적임을 알 수 있었다. 반면 연예인 모방 행동과 모방욕구의 평균이 가장 낮았던 연예인 호감형 여고생들은 교복변형행동, 헤어스타일 관리행동, 화장 관리행동 등에 소극적임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 청소년에게 바람직한 매스미디어에 관한 체계적인 교육을 실시하고, 교사들은 청소년들에게 합리적인 모방활동을 할 수 있도록 교육한다면 의생활지도에 있어서 효율적인 교육성과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

라이프케어를 위한 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육의 필요성과 활성화 방안 (A Study on the Educational Necessity and Activation Plan of Image Making Program for Life Care)

  • 본 연구는 국내 전문대학의 이미지메이킹 프로그램에 관련된 교과과정의 필요성과 교육내용 및 활성화 방안에 대한 실증분석을 통하여 취업을 앞둔 대학생들의 면접지도와 예비 직장인에게 있어서 대인 관계능력 향상을 위한 방안으로 대학 교과과정의 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었고, 이미지메이킹 교과목을 수강한 광주·전남지역 전문대학교 재학생 400명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 졸업 후 취업과 예비 직장인의 이미지 관리를 위해 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교과과정이 필요하고, 이미지를 객관적으로 파악하기 위해 다른 사람의 도움이 필요하다고 나타났다. 이미지메이킹 프로그램을 위한 적합한 강의실은 일반 강의실, 시청각 및 멀티미디어실, 전용 강의실 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육내용의 중요도는 태도(행동), 예절 및 인사법, 표정, 화법, 대인 관계법, 의복, 헤어스타일, 메이크업 순으로 나타났고, 교육내용의 중요 요소는 표정, 메이크업, 헤어스타일, 태도(행동), 대인 관계법, 화법, 의복, 예절 및 인사법 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육의 영향력 정도는 취업에 미치는 영향력, 대인관계에 미치는 영향력, 생활에 미치는 영향력 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육 활성화 방안을 분석한 결과 적절한 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교육시점은 2학년부터이고, 교육시간은 한 학기 주 1회, 교과과정 구분은 교양이나 교양선택 과정을 희망하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이미지메이킹 프로그램 관련 교과내용은 예절 및 인사법, 메이크업 및 코디 방법, 취업 설명회, 기능 자격 취득을 위한 교육, 국내 기업체 연수 순으로 나타나 예절 및 인사법을 가장 희망하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그리고, 이미지메이킹 프로그램 관련 지도자는 전공교수를 희망하고, 교육방법은 시청각 및 멀티미디어를 활용한 매체를 희망한다. 이미지메이킹 프로그램 관련 교육은 화법이나 목소리, 커뮤니케이션에 관해 분석하는 교육, 어울리는 헤어스타일 및 메이크업을 분석하고 실습할 수 있는 교육, 기업의 면접에 관한 교육, 워킹이나 자세교정에 관한 교육 순으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과 본 연구는 이미지메이킹 프로그램 교과과정의 활용방안에 대한 기초자료를 제공하였다.
