The policy for credit card approval/disapproval is based on the applier's personal and financial information. In this paper, we will analyze 2 credit card approval data with several classification methods. We identify which variables are important factors to decide the approval of credit card. Our main tool is an open-source statistical programming environment R which is freely available from http://www.r-project.org. It is getting popular recently because of its flexibility and a lot of packages (libraries) made by R-users in the world. We will use most widely used methods, LDNQDA, Logistic Regression, CART (Classification and Regression Trees), neural network, and SVM (Support Vector Machines) for comparisons.

소상공인진흥원 사이트에 가면 신사업 아이디어(http://newbiz.or.kr)라는 콘텐츠가 있다. 이곳에는 국내외의 흥미로운 신사업 아이디어들이 다양하게 올라와 있다. '무료로 자전거를 타고 영화도 볼 수 있는 팝업시네마', '개인의 취향에 맞춰 커피를 포장하여 집으로 배달하는 사업'등등. 기발한 아이디어가 빛나는 사업 아이템들을 접하다 보면 탄성이 절로 나온다. 특히 국내보다는 해외 신사업 아이디어들의 비중이 높은 게 특징이다. 이 사업 아이디어들은 소상공인진흥원의 '신사업 유망창업 아이디어 공모'를 통해 발굴이 된다. 일반인은 자체적인 사업 아이템 뿐만 아니라 여러 정보매체를 통해서 접한 신사업 아이디어들을 응모할 수 있다. 이렇게 응모된 신사업 아이디어들은 선정위원회에서 엄선하여 인터넷 게재가 이루어진다. 소상공인진흥원 지식서비스부 관계자는 "이런 신사업 아이디어를 지속적으로 올리는 것은 국내 창업 환경이 너무 요식업 쪽으로 집중되기 때문이다"며 "잠재 창업자들이 다양한 신사업 아이디어를 접하고 좀 더 창의적인 창업을 시도했으면 좋겠다'고 밝혔다. 다양한 신사업 아이디어 정보 중에는 해외 자판기 관련 신사업 아이디어도 올라와 있다. 기발한 차원을 넘어 사업적인 성공을 한 아이템도 적지 않다. 최근 1-2년 동안 해외에서는 어떠한 흥미진진한 신사업 아이템이 화제를 모았을까?

본 논문에서는 32비트 RISC 프로세서인 PXA255 임베디드 시스템에 리눅스와 HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) 웹 서버인 GoAhead를 포팅해 웹 서버를 구축하고, 웹 서버를 기반으로 자동차의 실시간 위치 추적시스템을 구현하였다. 운행중인 자동차의 위치 파악은 임베디드 시스템에 GPS 수신기를 장착하여 위성으로부터 전송받은 위치 데이터를 CGI나 자바프로그램을 이용해 프로그램 하였으며, 웹 브라우저를 통해 현재 자동차의 위치를 추적할 수 있는 있도록 하여, PC나 핸드폰, PDA와 같은 개인용 단말기로 장소에 구애받지 않고 쉽게 위치를 파악하도록 하였다.

Global Biodiversity is common interest of humans for better health and sustainable development of the society. To provide access and analysis on microbial diversity information, Bacteriology Insight Orienting System (BIOS) has been developed. BIOS contains 6402 species and subspecies names of bacteria and archaea, 2606 names of cyanobacteria by March 2000. BIOS of which web based analytical tool provides windows to compare the results of phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rDNA sequence and the results of cluster analysis on proteome profiling. The sequence data and 2 dimensional gel electrophoresis analysis data were accumulated in BIOS database content for cyanobacteria reclassification and taxonomy. SPH is the shorthand for Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics. This method is a Lagrangian method which means that it involves following the motion of elements of fluid. These elements have the characteristics of particles and the method is called a particle method. A useful review of SPH (Monaghan 1992) gives the basic technique and how it can be applied to numerous problems relevant to astrophysics. You can get some basic SPH programs from http) /www.maths.monash.edu.au/jjm/sphlect In the present lecture I will assume that the student has studied this review and therefore understands the basic principles. In today's lecture I plan to approach the equations from a different perspective by using a variational principle.

현재 원격탐사 자료는 각 분야 혹은 기관별로 개별적으로 자료 관리, 정보 생산이 이루어지고 있어 활용성이 저하되고 있으며 목적에 따라 활용하는 자료가 다양한 상황에서 활용분야별 특성을 고려한 기술 개발 및 기반구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 배경에서 공공기술연구회 소속 4개 기관 (항우연, 지질연, 해양연, 건기연)은 2002년 4월 지상분야, 건설분야, 해양분야 등 전문분야별로 원격탐사센터를 설립하여 공공활용 서비스를 위한 국가원격탐사센터로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 협조체계를 구축하였다. 한국건설기술연구원의 건설원격탐사센터에서는 건설 분야와 관련된 지구관측위성 자료의 분석ㆍ활용 및 체계적인 영상 Data Base를 구축하고 이를 Web을 통해 서비스 할 수 있는 체계를 구축하였다. 현재 건설원격탐사센터 홈페이지(http：//krsc.kict.re.kr)는 기 구축된 수자원/하천분야 관련 공간자료를 Web을 통해 서비스하고 있으며 공간자료의 분석을 통해 획득한 연구 성과들을 지속적으로 갱신하고 있다.

We describe the MiniWeb[7] TCP/IP stack (mIP), which is an extremely small implementation of the TCP/IP protocol suite running 8 or 32-bit micro controllers intended for embedded control systems, and satisfying the subset of RFC1122 requirements needed for host­to-host interoperability over different platforms. Our TCP/IP implementation does sacrifice some of TCP's mechanisms such as fragmentation, urgent data, retransmission, or congestion control. Our implementation is applicable to web based controllers. The network protocols are tested in operational networks using CommView and Dummynet where the various operational parameters such as bandwidth, delay, and queue sizes can be set and controlled.

Since the advance of WWW, internet related fields have been growing very rapidly. Especially, the development of electronic commerce ares have changed even or life style. This paper is about the design and implementation of an internet auction system, which is considered as on of the most attractive internet services. An internet auction system has more complex processes compared with other electronic commerce systems. In auction systems, bids and a successful bid are required in trading all goods. In this paper, I designed and implemented all processes of an internet auction system, in which a bid tracing systems is included for the first time. The bid tracing system is implemented using only HTTP in maintain compatibility in WWW environment. I also used th JAVA blocking concept to simulate two-way communication. The proposed system is implemented on Windows NT environment using JAVA, ASP, and the Oracle database.

본 논문에서는 기존의 워크플로우 표준 및 구현방법에 대한 장단점을 정리하고 최근에 각광을 받고 있는 P2P기술을 기반으로 하는 워크플로우 시스템에 대하여 제안하고자 한다. P2P기술은 각 피어의 자원을 최대로 활용하여 서버의 부하를 줄여주는 장점을 갖고 있었으나, 파일 공유 정도의 단순한 상호 작용 기능만 제공되고 있다. 복잡한 형태의 상호 작용을 요구하는 워크플로우를 지원할 수 있는 구조를 제시함으로서, C/S, CORBA, HTTP 보다 완벽하게 분산된 구조의 워크를로우 시스템을 구축할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 워크를로우은 보다 확장성 있고 견고하고 고성능을 제공하게 된다. 또한 본 연구에서는 확장성. 성능, 그리고 메모리 요구량에 대하여 기존 시스템과 비교하였다.

본 연구에서는 웹 기반 감성데이터베이스구축 및 보급을 위한 연구의 일환으로 G72단계 연구결과 보고서에서 제시된 시뮬레이터 관련자료와 현재 인터넷에 등록된 시뮬레이터에 대한 자료들을 조사, 정리하고, Web 상에서 정보제공을 하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 자료들은 1995년부터 1998년까지 수행된 '선도기술 개발사업(G7)의 2단계 연구의 주요 결과에 대한 지표화 및 보급을 위한 연구' 수행 중에 획득한 자료를 중심으로 정리되었다. 이들 지표 가운데에서 시뮬레이터에 관련된 소개물 및 Web site에 대한 연구결과가 1차적으로 정리되었고, 보다 많은 정보를 지원하기 위해 인터넷에서 시뮬레이터에 관련된 site가 keywords로 검색되어 정리되었다. 감성공학 2 단계 연구에서 시뮬레이터의 개념은 종합적 감성측정평가를 하기 위한 통합적 의미의 시뮬레이터이며, 일본의 HQL (Research Institute of Human Engineering for Quality Life) 연구소의 시뮬레이터가 이것과 가장 근접한 형태라고 할 수 있다. 그 외의 시뮬레이터들은 통합 시뮬레이션 보다는 각각의 목적에 맞추어 제작, 개발된 형태가 주를 이루고 있었다. 본 고는 현재 http://www.gamsung.or.kr 내의 '감성도서관'에서 제공하고 있는 시뮬레이터 관련 사이트에 대한 전반적인 소개와 세부항목에 대한 내용을 중심으로 기술하였다.
