Factors Affecting HR Analytics Adoption: A Systematic Review Using Literature Weighted Scoring Approach

  • In the era of disruptive change, a data-driven approach is vital to Human Resource Management (HRM) of any leading organization, for it is used to gain a competitive advantage. HR analytics (HRA) has emerged as innovative technologies since advanced analytics, i.e., predictive or prescriptive analytics, were widely used in the High Performing Organizations (HPOs). Therefore, many organizations elevate themselves to become HPOs through Data Science on the "people side." This paper proposes a systematic literature review using the Literature Weighted Scoring (LWS) to develop a conceptual framework based on three adoption theories, which are the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), Diffusion of Innovation (DOI), and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The results show that a total of 13 theory-derived factors are determined as influential factors affecting HRA adoption, and the top three factors are "Quantitative Self-Efficacy," "Top Management Support," and "Data Availability." The conceptual framework with hypotheses is proposed to provide a foundation for further studies on organizational HRA adoption.

Examining the Predictors of Turnover Behavior in Newly Employed Certified Nurse Aides: A Prospective Cohort Study

  • Background: The turnover rate of nurse aides in Taiwan is high. However, the predictors of turnover behavior in the newly employed are still unclear. Objective: To examine the predictors of turnover behavior in newly employed licensed nurse aides. Methods: A longitudinal study design was used and subjects were newly employed certified nurse aides from a nurse aid training association in Taiwan. A total of five questionnaire surveys were conducted. The questionnaire was mainly used to collect information on turnover behavior, personal socioeconomic background, workplace psychosocial hazards, worker health hazards, and musculoskeletal disorders. Results: A total of 300 participants were recruited in the study. Cox regression analysis results showed that short working experience (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.21, p < 0.01), work as non-home nurse aides (HR = 0.58, p = 0.01), low monthly salary (HR = 0.68, p < 0.01), high work mental load (HR = 1.01, p = 0.01), low workplace justice (HR = 0.97, p < 0.01), high workplace violence (HR = 1.60, p < 0.01), high burnout (HR = 1.01, p = 0.04), poor mental health (HR = 1.06, p = 0.04), and high total number of musculoskeletal disorder sites (HR = 1.08, p = 0.01) contribute to a higher risk of turnover. Conclusion: The results indicated that employment period, work as a home nurse aide, monthly salary, work mental load, workplace justice, workplace violence, work-related burnout, mental health, and total number of musculoskeletal disorder sites are predictors of turnover behavior in newly employed certified nurse aides.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the effect of information security activities on organizational performance. With this in mind and with the aim of resolving transaction stability in the securities industry, using an organization's security activities as a tool for carrying out information security activities, the effect of security activities on organizational performance was analyzed. Under the assumption that the effectiveness of information security activities can be bolstered to enhance organizational performance, such effects were analyzed based on Herzberg's motivation theory, which is one of the motivation theories that may influence information protection activities. To measure the actual attributes of the theoretical model, an empirical survey of the securities industry was conducted. In this explorative study, the proposed model was verified using partial least squares as a structural equation model consisting of IT service, information security, information sharing, transaction stability, and organizational performance.

광섬유 브래그 격자 센서를 이용한 국내외 상용 단일모드 광섬유의 감마선 영향 연구 (A Study of Gamma-ray Irradiation Effects on Commercially Available Single-mode Optical Fiber using Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 Ge가 함유된 일반 단일모드 광섬유의 감마선 유입손실을 측정하였다. 방사선 선원은 $Co^{60}$ 감마선 선원을 이용하였으며, 총 4시간동안 0.5 kGy/hr, 2 kGy/hr, 8 kGy/hr의 선량률로 조사하였다. 그 결과 감마선 조사에 의한 단일모드 광섬유의 전송손실이 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 동일 누적선량에서 선량률이 클수록 전송손실이 증가하는 선량률 효과가 나타났다. 또한 감마선 조사 종료 후 광섬유의 전송손실이 클수록 유입손실의 회복률이 증가하는 어닐링 특성을 보였다. 본 실험결과는 향후 광섬유의 내방사화 연구의 기초자료로 활용할 것이다.

Determinants of Business Process Outsourcing in Human Resource Function

  • The management of organizational Human Resource is steadily shifting away from pure hierarchical to market mechanisms that involve external vendors. HR Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) has recently emerged as a significant administrative innovation in an organization's strategy. Our paper attempts to understand firm-specific factors influencing the scope of HR BPO needs. Study results show that IT maturity and firm size are influential factors on the scope of HR BPO needs. We hope that our attempt at empirically examining and predicting this emergent phenomenon will stimulate others to look at this important strategic challenge facing firms from a theoretical perspective. Such research initiatives will allow us not only to better understand this complex phenomenon, but also to drive useful management prescriptions grounded on theory-based research.

  • 상호(商號)란 상인이나 회사가 영업 활동을 위해 자기를 표시하는데 쓰는 명칭을 말한다. 일반적으로 국내 기업의 상호 표기법은 한글과 로마자를 혼용함으로 상호 검색 시스템에서 단어 불일치 문제를 발생시킨다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단어 불일치 문제를 해결하기 위해 Sequence-to-sequence 모델을 이용하여 로마자 상호를 이에 대응하는 한글 상호로 변환하고 그 후보들을 생성하는 시스템을 제안한다. 실험 결과 본 연구에서 구축한 시스템은 57.82%의 단어 정확도, 90.73%의 자소 정확도를 보였다.

  • 오늘날 대다수 기업들은 비즈니스 환경의 급격한 변화에 따른 IT 자산의 팽창에 따라 보안 및 관리상 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는 것이 현실이다. 조직 내 정보 인가자 및 비 인가자를 통한 내부 유출사고 발생의 위험과 점차 지능화되는 외부 해커 및 바이러스를 통한 위험, 직원들의 보안의식 부재와 빈번한 프로젝트로 인한 아웃소싱업체와의 공동 작업에 따른 내부 정보 유출 위험 등이 점차 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이렇게 늘어나는 보안 위험과 관리 부재의 문제에 대비하여, 기업들이 보다 적용하기 쉽고, 저비용, 고효율을 취할 수 있는 Microsoft사의 Directory Service와 HR 연동 솔루션을 통해 통합 관리 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

Accounting Information System, Internal Control System, Human Resource Competency and Quality of Local Government Financial Statements in Indonesia

  • This study seeks to determine the effect of the application of accounting information system (AIS), internal control system, and human resource (HR) competency on the quality of local government financial statements (FS). This study uses agency theory and compliance theory. Agency theory is used to explain that there is a link between the society as the principal and the government as the agent. Compliance theory is a theory, which states that every agency is obliged to comply with regulations because the law-drafting authority has the right to dictate behavior. The population in this study were employees of the financial division of local government organizations in one of the districts in Central Java, Indonesia. The total samples in this study was 106 respondents. The data used are primary data taken from distributing questionnaires to respondents. The method of analysis used to test the hypothesis was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that HR competency has an effect on the quality of FS; however, the application of AIS and internal control system has no effect on the quality of FS. The implication of this research underlines the importance of HR competency to improve the quality of local government FS.

HR-WPAN에서 링크 상태에 따른 동적 채널 타임 할당 기법 (Dynamic Allocation of Channel Times based on Link Quality of HR-WPAN)

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.15.3 HR-WPAN(High Rate Wireless Personal Area Network)의 PNC(PincoNet Coordinator)에서 DEV(DEVice)의 링크 상태에 따라 동적으로 채널 시간을 할당하는 DABL(Dynamic Allocation of channel times Based on Link quality of the DEV) 알고리즘을 이용하여 시스템에서의 평균 트래픽 전송률을 향상시키고 지연시간을 감소시키는 방법을 제안한다. 좀 더 구체적으로, DABL 알고리즘은 DEV의 링크 상태에 따라 다중 변조 기법을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 슈퍼프레임에서의 각 DEV를 위한 채널 타임도 동적으로 스케줄링하는 방법을 제공한다. 또한 트래픽의 QoS(Quality of Services)를 고려하여, 본 논문에서는 실시간 트래픽과 비실시간 트래픽으로 구분하여 DABL 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 본 논문에서는 기존 균등 분할 방식과 DABL 방식의 성능 비교를 위해 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

선박환경에서 에너지 효율성을 고려한 TDMA기반 고속 WPAN시스템의 전송파라미터 분석 (Energy Efficient Transmission Parameters Analysis of TDMA Based HR-WPAN System for Ship Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 선박용 해양텔레매틱스(Maritime Telematics)를 위한 무선 PAN(WPAN: Wireless Personal Area Network) 시스템의 에너지 효율성을 결정하는 전송파라미터를 분석하여 최적의 전송파라미터 선택 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 고려하는 WPAN 시스템은 IEEE 802.15.3의 TDMA 기반의 HR(high rate)-WPAN으로 선박네트워크에 적용할 경우에 고려 되어야하는 전송 파라미터를 분석하고 에너지를 절약할 수 있는 전송파라미터 결정방식에 대하여 제안한다. 특히 선박환경에서 에너지 소모량과 밀접한 채널 파라미터인 경로손실(path loss)을 결정하는 선박의 구성재질(철골구조의 대형선박, FRP소재의 중소형선박)과 HR-WPAN 전송파라미터들에 따른 에너지소모량을 분석하고 에너지 효율성을 극대화할 수 있는 선택방안을 제시한다. 시뮬레이션 결과 각 선박환경에 따라 전송률 선택방식, 전송전력 조절 방식 및 데이터 분할(fragment)크기의 선택에 따라 에너지 효율성능이 결정됨을 보였고 최적의 선택방안을 제시하였다.
